Never played Portal' date=' is it fun?

*Collapses from shock*

How?!

*Calms down*

It's different. You're armed with a gun that can rend holes in time and space.

For example, if you're in a chamber with a huge drop stretching across it, in a normal FPS you'd use a tool of some sort to either throw yourself across the gap or climb up the wall to bypass it.

In 'Portal', you launch a portal (hence the game's name) onto the wall across from the gap. Then, behind you, you launch the second portal into the wall, connecting the two portals and creating a gateway between them. And then you walk through the hole, emerging from the first (and crossing the gap).

You are also required to use physics to beat challenges. Another example. You are on a platform (1). Ahead of you is a higher platform (2). Above and behind you is a high wall (3). Ahead and beneath you is a lower platform (4). (Numbers used for reference)

To get from (1) to (2), you fire a portal into (3) and (4). Now, you have a gateway leading from the lower platform directly to the high wall. Then, you jump down into the hole, emerging from the high wall with the same speed as you had when you entered it, propelling yourself onto the higher platform.

(It's a lot a fun when you have full control of the Portal gun)

EDIT: Since it was sort of swept away before, can you guys look at my "Monarch" support set? I've added 6 cards today:

Sounds awesome. What system is it for?

Er...PC, PS2 and XBox but the PC version is probably better since it's easier to control the gun with a mouse IMO. You can buy it as a disc or download it from Steam.

And Serenade was referring to the genre. 'Portal' is a mix of FPS and Puzzle games since it applies puzzles but from a first-person view.

@ Serenade: You can't just give up! Which level were you stuck on? I could probably tell you how to get past it.

That does sound interesting. I may have to give it a try. What's it for? Also, can I get an OCG fix?

Name: Stone Dragon from the Past

Level 7

Earth

Rock

Atk: 2500

Def: 2500

Lore: This card is also treated as a Dragon-Type. If this card is in face-up Defense postion, once per duel, you can pay 1000 Life Points to inflict damage equal to the total number of Rock-Type monsters in your Graveyard x100.[/align]

@ Darkmark: Check above post.

As for OCG fix...summoning conditions...?

I'll guess them

1 Dragon-Type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Rock-Type monsters

This card is also treated as a Dragon-Type monster. If this card is in face-up Defense Position, once, you can pay 1000 Life Points to inflict an amount of damage to your opponent equal to the number of Rock-Type monsters in your Graveyard x 100.

My thoughts: Not very useable since the primary Deck it would be used in wouldn't have much use for it. Plus it's di-Typing isn't very helpful. I suggest a mild re-think.

I forgot that. I knew I was forgetting something. I haven't used my Synchros in a while. It's still a rough draft, as it is the first card I have made in a bout a month. I'm not much in card making, I think I'll stick to what I know I can do. As for the Portal, I was ninja'd, several times accutally. I'll think about getting it one day.

Right, there a few challenges like that. Is it:

- The one where you have a pool of acid with a single ball flying around, and a platform to your right?

- The one with numerous turrets along with a few lightning balls towards the end of a level?

(If not, I'll start a new game tommorow and see what I can tell you.)

EDIT: New card:

2q9goe1.jpg

Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned from the Graveyard, except if it was sent there from the field. This card is also treated as a Fiend-Type monster while face-up on the field and as a Zombie-Type monster while in the Graveyard. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, put 1 Scroll Counter on a face-up monster you control, except this card. A monster with a Scroll Counter gains 500 ATK, is treated as a Fiend-Type monster and cannot change its battle position. You can Tribute 1 monster with a Scroll Counter on it to Special Summon 1 monster from your opponent’s Deck to their side of the field whose Level is equal to the Tributed monster’s. The Summoned monster’s effect is negated. During your Battle Phase, this card must attack the Summoned monster. When this card is destroyed and removed from the field, lose Life Points equal to the number of monsters Summoned by this card’s effect x 300. In addition, you must remove from play at least 2 Dragon or Fiend-Type monsters in your Graveyard from play. Your opponent returns an equal number of monsters destroyed by this card in their Graveyard to their Deck. Their Deck is then shuffled.

I think it's balanced since it needs to be discarded before you can summon it, it has to inflict Battle Damage to activate its effect, and you need to control a different monster to tribute. Also, if you don't summon a lot of monsters with it, you don't get as burned when it dies, but you've wasted it. And if you do destroy a large number of your opponent's monsters, you get ferociously damaged at the end.
