Ancient Gear Workshop! Geartown. Ancient Gear Castle! Alright that's it. Max, I'm challenging you to a duel. A duel with Synchros. Use Sychro monsters if you want despite your immense hate for the or Earthbound Immortals. If you win, I won't bug you anymore about the tournament. If I win you have to stay in it b/c it sucks to have a tournament for a club without it's leader.

"Ancient Gear Workshop" doesn't Special Summon. "Geartown" cannot Special Summon "Golem". "Ancient Gear Castle" just allows you to get it onto the field slightly easier.

 

None of the above can truly speed up "Golem", just get it onto the field once it gets to your hand.

SL's Local Tourney Occurences

 

So, as some of you know, I went to a local tournament for Yugimanz yesterday. The winner got roughly $50. Here are my results...

 

Round 1: Blackwings vs. Batterymen

Game 1: His deck is sooo fast. I cannot pull off an OTK and fall quite easily.

Game 2: He got a bad starting hand. I got a perfect hand. (Foolish Burial, Battery Charger, Inferno Reckless Summon, Threatening Roar, Batteryman D, and Short Circuit) I pull off my first FTK. :D

Game 3: This battle is more drawn out, but I manage to pull out Batteryman Industrial Stength, and 2 Batteryman D's to pull of a ragtag Short Circuit combo.

 

Batterymen eat meta for breakfast. Won.

 

Round 2: Umi Deck vs. Batterymen

Game One: He scared me with 'A Legendary Ocean' and 'Amphibious Bugroth' right off the bat. I get knocked around a bit but manage a Heavy Storm, destroying his strategy. Batteryman I. Strength cleans up.

 

Game Two: He got a really bad hand and I got a really bad hand. This Duel took forever because he had a pesky Grav. Bind up. MST saved my rear and I pulled off an OTK after drawing half my Deck.

 

A manageable Duel. Won.

 

Semi-Finals: Turbo Plants vs. Batterymen

 

Game One: She used Foolish Burial and Miracle Fertilizer to get a Gigaplant right off the bat. I countered with a Foolish Burial of my own, sending an AA to the grave. Using Battery Charger/Inferno Reckless, I beat her quite fast.

 

Game Two: Well, guess what? She had sided SOUL RELEASE. My AA's were instantly out of play and I fell alarmingly fast.

 

Game Three; I sided Return from a Different Dimension. However, it became a dead draw on my first turn. I watched in shock as she used a Black Garden/Aslla piscu strategy to fill the field with tokens. Then, she used a Smashing Ground to eliminate her own piscu, sending 6400 Points my way. I lost...

 

PS: Love must be in the air, we are talking about getting together...is that nerdy or what? XD

 

Never underestimate the power of plants! Loss.

 

She ended up winning the tournament and the money. But I was still happy. :) I'll be back in a few months....

 

EDIT: Doy. It wasn't Smashing Ground, she Tribute Summoned for something...my bad. XD

 

@Delano: That's the NPG. P.S.: Duel later? No promises, though...this week is merciless in terms of schoolwork.

 

Also, your Deck...you need more monsters (D-Hero Defender?) and less EBI's.

 

Plus get Chorus of Sanctuary out of there and replace it with MST/Heavy Storm/another Unity.

and i realized it had to little monsters so im working on it now. And my 1st EI does not last very long while the 2nd 1 stays the field for the rest of the duel XD

This card is also treated as a DARK Pyro-Type monster. When this card is Summoned, you can remove 1 of the Synchro Material Monsters from play to remove 1 Monster in your opponent's Extra Deck from play. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Special Summon from their Extra Deck, except by removing 1 monster in their Deck from play. This card gains 250 ATK for each face-up Synchro and Dark Synchro monster on the field. If this card destroys a Fusion, Synchro or Dark Synchro monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, it is removed from play instead. Once per turn, you can remove any number of Spell or Trap Cards in your Graveyard from play to negate the effects of an equal number of cards your opponent controls.

If you do, as long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Special Summon Monsters of the same type (Fusion, Synchro, Dark Synchro) as the removed monster. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove it from play to select 1 Monster Card in your opponent's Extra Deck. As long as this card remains in your Removed from Play Zone, the selected monster cannot be Summoned.

Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with "Assault Mode Activate". This card is also treated as a DARK Pyro-Type monster. When this card is Summoned, remove from play up to 3 Monster Cards in your opponent's Extra Deck. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Special Summon without removing 2 cards in their Deck from play. This card gains 400 ATK for each Fusion, Synchro and Dark Synchro Monster on the field. If this card destroys a Fusion, Synchro or Dark Synchro monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, it is removed from play instead. When this card on the field is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Skyde Dighed" from your Graveyard.
