Both are.

 

"YGO: The Emissaries" is a large fan-fic I'm writing and it has a thread of cards to go with it.

 

"Timeless Darkness" is a shorter, more contrived piece I'm writing because I think the E.I.s were underdeveloped in the anime; plus Konami is just pumping out filler at the moment.

A double-Strategy deck is a deck that encompasses two types of strategies. A Zombie Lightsworn is sort of a double strategy deck. An example would be A burn deck that is good for swarming from the grave so a zombie burn or something like that. Another one is an exodia deck that gives you draw power and swarms monsters. A final example could be a RFP Synchro deck. Is that any clearer?

[spoiler=[b]A Rant about Synchros[/b]]

The more I look at them, the more I'm convinced that Synchro monsters were a bad, and overpowered idea. Considering any Level 5 Synchro can be instantly summoned with "Junk Synchron" and "Turbo Booster" can bring that up to Level 6; why do so many Synchros have such high ATK and powerful effects? Here are some examples.

 

 

Ally Genex Accel:

Revives "Prototype Machine King", doubles its ATK to 3400, and then P.M.K. gains at least 100 more ATK. So you have a 3500 ATK and 2600 ATK pair of monsters for the cost of...just 1 card from your hand...

 

 

Ally Genex Triarm:

Discarding 1 card will allow you to damage your opponent's hand or field, or even better, destroy a monster they control and you reclaim the cost(!)

 

 

Ally Genex Triforce:

1 card will get you an Ancient Gear effect without the low ATK or an effect similar to "Yubel" (a Level 10) from a Level 7.

 

 

Ally of Justice Catastor:

With "DNA Transplant" becomes completely unstoppable.

 

 

Ally of Justice Decisive Arms:

As long as your opponent controls a LIGHT monster, you can damage your opponent's defenses; or blow them away completely... Or even, you can look at your opponent's hand (this card is Unlimited BTW, while all other 'look at your opponent's hand' cards have been Forbidden), destroy all LIGHT monsters and then inflict damage equal to their combined ATK! How fair is that? [/sarcasm]

 

 

Ancient Fairy Dragon:

A Level 7 with the DEF of a Level 8? Excuse me? Oh, and the ability to destroy your opponent's Field Spells and then gain Life Points for them, and then add a Field Spell to your hand! Ridiculous.

 

 

Ancient God Flamvell:

RFP a number of monsters in your opponent's Graveyard equal to their hand number? Fair enough. But then gain 200 ATK for each one? Can't Konami come up with any balanced Synchros?!

 

 

...And I'm not even out of the A's yet...
