An old idea from me, but I recently saw something like this in the Realistic Section, so I updated the pic and OCG:

Effect: This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set by Tributing 2 Beast-Type monsters you control. When this card is Summoned, and during each of your Standby Phases, select 6 Monster Types (except Beast-Type) and treated them as #'s 1-6, in alphabetical order. Roll 1 six-sided die once. This card's Type is also treated as the same as the die roll, until your next Draw Phase. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all Monsters whose Type is the same as this card's Type(s) gain 500 ATK and DEF. When this card is removed from the field, you can add it to your Deck instead.

 

I feel it's missing an effect or two.

 

 

 

 

And since talk of a one-on-one was mentioned, Sweet will you accept defeat in the NDL Grand Final?

LOL thanks guys my deck will be inspired and once i do research for the cards it will be fine. I do have a feeling that I'm going to be reusing a lot of Spells and Traps so I will have to place a recycle in here...Also any suggestions on What Destiny Heros I should include...Dragons Wont be a Problem since I can F.F. them as well as foolish burial. Then I just need to figure out Horus since he's a dragon, more than likely I will Red Eyes him and brin him out like that. I'll find the appropriate Tuners and be done. The more I think about it the more feasible it is. And the deck is an Ultimatum and no I haven't seen your psychic OTK.

 

This is my 1000th post and I waited a LONG time to post it here with you guys.

@ Sweet: I want to know something. Is there a Korean word for 'Stardust'? Or could you substitute 'Star Dust' (소성단)?

 

A second question. If you were to write 'dragon' in Korean, would you write the English or the Korean (용)?

 

Finally, since in 5Ds, they seem unable to say the Japanese equivalent of 'Stardust Dragon', would the Korean equivalent be spoken in a similar way (ie Staaardust Doragon) or would you use the phonetic form of 소성단 용 (Stardust Dragon) or 별 용의 먼지 (Dust of a Star Dragon)?

 

 

EDIT:

Having done some research on the subject, I've found what the dragons would sound like if spoken in Japanese. And that the Japanese have a word for 'Stardust'.

 

(The reason 'Dragon' and 'Doragon' are so similar is because Dragon is an adopted word from the east. English used to use the word 'Wyvern' [itself from Scandanavia] until Arab traders brought the word over.)

Red Demon's Dragon: Niiro Oni Doragon

Black Rose Dragon: Kuroi Roze Doragon

(The reason 'Rose' = 'Roze' is because the Japanese don't grow roses so have no name for the flower)

Everyone who cares to know: The reason why I started with the NDL was to prepare for an YCM tournament, so that once I have figured out the kinks of the original plan, I would present it to a mod who listens and if it gets approved host it with limited access to everyone and change features so that there can be qualifiers. Basically like Konami has YuGiOh World Tournament.

 

(BTW This will be a major part in my Role to be the Revellionutioner or YCM, and then the world. And Yes I am completely serious.)

 

@Everyone: As promised here is what you need to know. If I didn't say it here, it might just be because I didn't make it up yet.

 

[spoiler=NDL Duel Tournament Need to Know. You Should read [b]ALL [/b] of it]

 

I said this first:

 

Alrighty then, so let's see. In this tourney, everyone will duel each other. This is a requirement. There will be a total of 4 preliminary duels where you must win at least 2 duels with different people to proceed to the next round. (If you do a match and win 2/3 duels, you have won 2 with 1 person. You still have 3 more people to duel.) If you reach 3 or more (same way as before) losses, you will be eliminated. During the prelims, you may only use 1 deck. This deck my not be used again until the semifinals have been reached or you have used all of you others. To enter into the duels, you must have at least 5 different decks that you can use and no more than 9. At least 2 of these decks MUST be double themed for example, Dragon Swarm and Bringing out Fusion Monsters. They can be on a number of places, including real life or on yugiohnetwork. Make sure, for those of you who use the new god cards or yubels, that you have the correct effect and you can show it to your opponent when necessary. The only god card that is legal is Obelisk currently, so it is the only one you may use. The tournament can begin when 4 people have submitted their deck entries. I shall submit mind. The prelims end in a month or when every1 has done their required duels.

And thanks Max for the commentary/suggestions a point based system is a better idea than wins so here are some changes. Also I know the Double strategy may not have been the best so let me try this one. Zombie LightSworn (Uses Zombies to mill and special summon from the grave and lightsworns to attack/get cards in the graveyard.) This is what I mean by a double strategy Max, so it is very similar to what you said.

 

And for the portion that made no sense basically was to say that do not use incorrect effects. If the site has a different effect than what the Actual card says, (which is the case with a card like Yubel the Ultimate nightmare)

 

 

 

I didn't know that Ra has been released, so add it to the list. But I don't think it is in circulation everywhere yet though which is why I didn't include it.

 

The reason I said have 5 decks is because for the semifinals the deck you duel with will be chosen out of a hat, by someone who has lost. At the finals there were supposed to be 2 duels and 1 match with any of your decks. I suggested that someone have multiple decks so it makes things more interesting basically. Also people may want to use different decks that they own. But for now... (And to be brutally honest) all you will need up until the semifinals is a total of 3 decks. Deck building however is sometimes annoying...so it is subject to change depending on how much people quarrel over it.

 

 

The duel will be a round robin. The points will be distributed as thus:

5 For a Win, 3 for a Tie, 1 FOR A LOSS. PLEASE KEEP A RECORD OF THIS OR SEND ME (currently)/post THE LOGS. To enter a round, submit the deck you wish to use. For the preliminaries any deck may be used. Submissions are public and must include a deck name and may have a short description of the deck.

 

The tournament will start when we have at least 4 entrants and will end 3 weeks after its beginning or when all the participants have dueled each other, so as to have time and not take away from other activates including school and etc.

 

 

I said this Last:

 

The first Round is a round Robin Themed. The Next round will be on Tag Team Thread Pick-Your Name-Out-Of-A-Hat Duels, followed by Bracket Eliminations w/submission. The winner hmmm will get A banner and I will ask Icyblue, the cool mod, if he could give us an award. The entry fee and other rules have been stated around the 140s and if you want them PM me. Admission is the decks that you will be using and 10 points/1 rep to a NDL member of your choice. Look for the requirements of the decks before you send them to me. And any questions about what I mean think of a Zombie Swarm Beatdown/Manipulation Mill Deck OR a DARK WORLD Swarm Exodia Discard Deck and be happy. If those don’t clear up your questions, PM me them because unless it’s a FAQ it can't go on the NDL thread. (Actually now that I think about it, since this is an NDL tournament IT CAN GO on here, but please be respectful to club rules.)

 

 

 

EDIT: This is a part of the rules to. The Number of DECKs will be at least 4 Decks, 3 of which are regular and the final is the double strategy, which has been mentioned in the whole EXODIA/DARK WORLD MOMENT. Please take time to build them b/c it shouldn't take long IF your inspired. If your not, give it time.

You're right; Shinkuro Yobidasu! Hoshikuzu Doragon! sounds much better than the current Stardust summon.

 

(Since the Japanese borrowed the English word 'Synchronise' that's why they're so similar.)

 

Further Observations

 

It's almost every single card; which I don't get, since this is a Japanese dub, not a Malaysian (where a lot of people speak English) or Singapore dub. I would have thought a Japanese show would have been exclusively in Japanese, not 50% poor English.

 

Incredibly, it'll probably get worse once the Allies of Justice make an appearance; since apparently the phonetic (or romanised) Japanese name of "Ally of Justice Catastor" is "Ārī Obu Jasutisu Katasutoru"

 

The reason "Catastor" becomes "Katasutoru" is because of Japanese syntax. Compared to western language, where consonants can follow consonants, Japanese has to have a vowel between the sounds. Hence the extra two u's.

 

Also, as 'Catastor' is not a real word; it's derived from either catastrophe or catasterism (naming stars/constellations after something) I can accept that the Japanese would be very similar.

 

But the fact that the phonetic Japanese is apparently Ārī Obu Jasutisu is rather bizarre. Considering "Ally of Justice" literally translated is "Kougi Mikata" (Justice's Ally) which in my mind sounds better.

 

So it should be "Kougi Mikata Katasutoru", because that sounds Japanese; not English spoken by a Japanese person.

I seem to have uncovered evidence of a possible breakthrough why a lot of Japanese seems to contain butchered English. There are, in essence, two Japanese languages. One is the traditional, normal Japanese that includes words such as "Seinaru" (meaning "Holy") while there is a second, more modern variant that has introduced a lot of English.

 

For example, a legitimate translation (Jap. to Eng.) of "Reddo" and "Burakku" gives "Red" and "Black"; while a translation the other way yields "Niiro" and "Kuroi".

 

My theory is that the Japanese containing the English-derived words was born when English started to become the international language. In order to ease the language barrier between the two, a 'second' Japanese came into being which was formed of English words pronounced and corrupted as if they were Japanese words.

 

This why in YGO 5Ds and other shows, there is bad English because that's what it was, some time ago.

 

This is credible because of a comparison with Europe. 'Black' in English is:

'Noir' in French

'Negro' in Spanish and

'Nera' or 'Negro' in Italian

 

This shows what everyone knows, that the three languages were once the same (Latin). You can also show 'Black' came from Scandinavia since a synonym for black is 'Swart' (similar to modern-day Norwegian).

 

Linking this to this 'second' Japanese; the reason it sounds so close to English is because it is only 30 or 40 years old; if it continues to be used, in 100 years; it'll sound like Japanese-English hybrid of the English used today, itself having changing in those years.

 

Then possibly, a third or fourth Japanese will be created to replace the current Anglo-Japanese language being used.

 

This could explain everything.They ARE speaking Japanese, just not traditional, unmixed Japanese.

And sweet and max, when you are done with you duel just place a message in the little window. My mother is trying to kick me off of YCM...and she's not even around to doit. CHAOS...say nothing... :{ I'm already upset...I will be on yugiohnetwork waiting for you guys and I will try to sneak on when i can...OR I CAN JUST GO TO another ROOM DDUHHH..i swear imma dumba** sometimes.

Myself and Sweet are now finished. You two can have your duel.

 

Summary:

 

- Sweet takes the early lead by hammering me (My LP: 8000 to 3600) before his angel is RFP (the first of many)

- I activate "Gravity Bind" and "Dimensional Fissure". Sweet builds up a collection of monsters.

- I summon a monster and chain "Torrential Tribute". Sweet uses "Dark Bribe" but I chain "Fake Trap".

- Stalemate. Utter stalemate. I build up a wall, while Sweet summons his higher-level monsters.

- I activate "Threatening Roar" to get rid of it. Sweet chains "Solemn Judgement", doing the job for me. (Sweet's LP: 8000 to 4000)

- I activate "Soul Release" and "Disappear", taking the total of Sweet's RFP cards to 14.

- I activate "D.D. Dynamite" and lob it at Sweet. Sweet gets blown up by it...again... (Sweet's LP: 4000 to 0)

 

Good duel.
