phoenix calling is suppose to say deck not hand. I forgot to edit it

phoenix exchange is generic, but all decks need generic cards. its no cheaper than a creature swap

ryu is a judgement rip off i'll admit

but I dont see why any of the other monsters are rip offs. They're no cheaper than blackwings which is the cheapest deck other than lightsworn and x-sabers. Seriously, no cost swarming is ridiculous (namely x-sabers) and then the whole discarding your entire hand. how is that fair at all. Yet none of those cards are banned or limited. It is not fun to duel agaist someone who swarms THEIR FIRST TURN and winds up with 2 gottoms on the field and 2 faultrolls and another x-saber and then has saber slash in their hand. not fun at all.

a random card i just came up with (+1 rep to whoever guesses where this picture is from) still working on the picture

But there are enough generic cards without another one. Why give it a name linking to an archetype when it has no link?

That's because if you look closely you'll find that's not what I said.

Damn....hust damn...that was a lot, especially from you Max, I've honestly not seen your name so many times in the thread before.

Updates: today is the first time I have been outside in 5 days. Its good to get out.

Max, if you ever need to duel with someone without a Meta deck pm Me or I will just give one of you guys possibly Sweet Lightning or chrid97, my username and password on yugiohnetwork.

By the Way Judgement Dragon is Cheap as hell, especially in Pure Lightsworn Decks. A Zombie mill Deck would be the perfect tool against. Its a simple combo really, as it was one of the 2 decks my mother threw away. It basically uses Soul Absorbing Bone Tower in combination with Zombie World and monsters like Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon, Goblin Zombie, Pyramid Turtle, Zombie Matser, etc. to Special Summon and Make your opponent Mill. It is an incredible easy way to beat Lightsworns. Cards like Patrician of Darkness, Vampire Lord, and Spirit Reaper also assist in this deck. The last two decks I owned were themed around Zombie World And Special Summoning. The first Was my Zombie Swarm Beatdown/Survival Deck, which encompassed Cards Like Geartown, Zombie World, Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon, PMD, Silva & Goldd to help me get ATK power and cards like Il Blud, REZD, Zombie Master, Vampire Lord, Vampire Genesis, Mezuki & the Dark Creator, to special Summon Zombie Monsters. With Zombie World On the Field and the Geartowns gone, it was secure. If you want the cards in either or the decks, just give me some time and I'll figure it out. I had Both of My Decks for all of 2 weeks before they were gone.

What was I gonna say about judgement....oh Yeah there are Far Worse Cards than that with similar effect. Demise is A Ritual, and it has the same effect but I believe its effect can be activated as like an Ignition or Trigger(I think). Yubel Terror InCarnate is MUCH WORSE THAN Judgement, but harder to summon. However Judgmenting that card would be absolutely futile because then Ultimate Nightmare comes out. And Nobody Wants to play. However there is a card that is more powerful than Judgement that sucks that it can be beaten so easily, and its Obelisk the Tormentor. Despite how Ccrazy awesome Obelisk is all you have to do is summon Judgement after Obelisk. Then it just hurts.

EDIT: Deept97, I told Ya so. Albiet I do know where some of your cards comefrom. One of your Cards is very Similar to Pot Of Avarice, which isn't banned, limited or even semi-limited. Ryu IS a JD, and despite how hard your cards are to summon, once they are there, they are incredibly hard to be rid of.

And you got the picture from 1 of 4 places:

1. Deviantart

2. HP Doom

3. George

4. Googling Metal Obelisk, because that's what it looks like. And Running Obelisk in that Psychic OTK deck of yours IS smart.

And to make Phoenix Exhange less generic, why not Change it so that its better give an Honest + Shallow Grave effect or something else.

Make it continous. this can be its effect.

You can only activate this card when your Opponent Declares an attack against a "Pheonix" Monster. Pay Lifepoints equal to the number of cards you control x300 and Tribute 1 monster. Negate the attack, destroy the attcking monster and its selected target and end the Battle Phase. During your next Standby Phase, you can Special Summon to your side of the field, the monsters destroyed by this card's effect. When this card is removed from play, select 3 "Phoenix" Monsters in your Graveyard and Special Summon 1 to the field and add 2 to your deck. Both Players then draw 3 cards.

I said removed from play because Spells are rarely removed from play and its better than if it was removed from the field or destroyed because then it'd be crazy overpowered. However, you can also change it to say returned to the hand instead.

Anyone up for some duels?

OCG EDIT: This card cannot be Normal Summon or Set. This card can only be special Summon by Tributing 1 "Hyper Psychic Blaster" and paying 1000 Lifepoints. As long as this face-up card is on the field, negate the costs of all Psychic Monsters, other than this card. Once per turn, you can Special Summon Psychic Monster(s) by paying Lifepoints equal to x700 the number of Psychic Monsters summoned. (I added the Last Part b/c I was bored and I Would Love to see a Psychic Swarm)

Max' date=' the weakness of LightSworn Decks is that they Deck out incredibly Fast. I have done it several times. With Soul Absorbing Bone Tower and i'll brb.

[/quote']

But surely, you run the risk of them summoning Judgement very quickly? I can see why this Deck would work, but at the same time, there seems to be quite a lot of risk if your opponent can get Judgement out.

Damn....hust damn...that was a lot' date=' especially from you Max, I've honestly not seen your name so many times in the thread before.

I wrote a lot because I'm British and I found something to rant at. If a Brit finds something to shout and complain at, they can go on for hours.

And if anyone wants to duel with a non-meta Deck, I'll be glad to.

Sorry Max, I can't as I just don't have the time right now. :(

If anyone's interested, I'm working on a Fish and a Fairy Deck at the moment.

Also, I've just completed a Deck that is ridiculously fast. I hope to test it later. ;)

@Chrid: Everyone dislikes meta...

My Rant on JD

I just want to ask this simple question. Why, oh why is this card not limited? Lightsworn are powerful enough without having their own Alpha Bomb that they can drop at pretty much any time they please. Honest is amazing, Wulf gets the job done and Lumina and Garoth in almost any other deck would be AMAZING.

With all of these broken cards at their disposal, why do they even need a pair of JD? The deck can use all of the milling cards to get to pretty much whatever card they want in the deck and then easily fill the graveyard enough for JD.

What I don't understand is that a card like Demise, King of Armageddon (even though it was powerfully broken once) who has 600 less ATK points, costs 1000 more lifepoints to activate and is IMMENSELY harder to Summon gets the boot while Judgment Dragon is welcomed into the hearts of Konami's designers.

I have always thought that the game designers had a soft spot for Lightsworn. I don't know whether they thought that the DARK decks were getting too dominant or what, but they have done almost everything humanly posible to make the deck win some major tournaments. Well, Konami, you've had your fun, Lightsworn are running the show and now it's time for the emergency banhammer.

So what I would do is one of these things. Put JD at Limited, or make it so that he destroys monsters only and not spell and trap cards. This would effectively make a Lightsworn player HAVE to make his moves more carefully, as the possibility of trap cards makes JD that much worse. It would bring it down to the level of the rest of the cards in the game, and make Lightsworn manageable for many decks that would otherwise not have a chance.

...Whew. Sorry. I just had to get out my hate for meta....

Im not going to rant on JD, b/c I like the card. There I said it. Happy, but then againg just Like Solemn Judgement I will never use it. And Sweet Would you be interested in another yugiohnetwork account? And max running the zombie Mill deck properly you would be able to resummon any monster Destroyed. Hence why it is good.
