GIMP Rendering for those with little knowledge of the Path tool

Recommended Posts

[align=center]Okay. Before we start, this is not a tut towards everyone. This is a tut for people who don't yet understand how to render using the path tool. This is only a temporary solution to your problem, and it is best to learn how to use the path tool for the best level of rendering.

But for now here is what you can do:

[spoiler=Download Gimp, If you don't have it already]

Search GIMP in google Duh!

[spoiler=Step 1. Load your Picture]16hotc6.png

[spoiler=Step 2. Right click on the layer containing your picture, and click on the apply layer mask tool]24gj293.png

[spoiler=Step 3. Set the settings so they look like this]sp7v4k.png

[spoiler=Step 4. Using the pen tool set to black, with varying sizes of brush, draw around the picture. Then set the brush to white, and go over places you have made a mistake to erase the mistake]2z9bew3.png

[spoiler=Step 5. Fill in the gaps Around the side]250m4j5.png

[spoiler=Step 6. Use the select colour tool in the layer mask. Then SWITCH to the actual layer and copy.]1zey0x4.png

[spoiler=Step 7. Close the screen, and open up a brand new GIMP, hitting ctrl+V]2lu9s1s.png

[spoiler=Step 8. Save as PNG very important!]2mhbtwn.png

As said only for use while you are a beginner (like me XD)

[spoiler=You should get a LQ render like this:]2193jp.png

Hope I helped the beginners :D

I know, and I would prefer people to use the path tool, but when I was starting out, I did not understand how to use the path tool, so I thought I would give a temporary solution to those people who don't understand the path tool, so that they can still render their own images.

But I do still think people should learn the use of the path tool.......
