Contest Over PLZ Lock

I'm hosting my very first contest and it is an Archetype based contest. The challenge is to create an Archetype the will win over the voters. The cards should be proper cards that are balanced as well as cool. The contest ends on 17th of August or the first cards to get 7 votes wins.

EFFECT MONSTERS

During the Battle Phase, if you control another "Valkyrie" monster except "Crystal Blade Valkyrie" you can switch the ATK and DEF of this card. Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed. (Damage calculation is applied normally).

 

During the Battle Phase, if you control another "Valkyrie" monster except "Divine Saber Valkyrie" you can switch the ATK and DEF of this card. If this card is destroyed by battle, you can Special Summon 1 "Valkyrie" monster from your Deck.

 

During the Battle Phase, if you control another "Valkyrie" monster you can switch the ATK and DEF of this card. This card can attack your opponent directly. When it does so using this effect, any Battle Damage it inflicts to your opponent is halved.

 

SUPPORT CARD

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters.

If this card is selected as an attack target, you can switch it's ATK and DEF. Increase the DEF of this card by 200 for each "Valkyrie" monster you control. Once per turn you can pay 400 LP to Special Summon 1 "Valkyrie" monster from your Hand. When this card is destroyed, you can discard one card from your Hand to destroy all Spell and Trap cards your opponent controls.

 

SPELL AND TRAP

Pay 600 LP to activate this card. For every face-up "Valkyrie" monster on your side of the field, increase the ATK and DEF of all "Valkyrie" monsters on your side of the field by 200 points. If you control only 1 "Valkyrie" monster on the Field, instead of conducting your Draw Phase you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Valkyrie" monster from your Deck.

 

Activate only when a face-up "Valkyrie" monster you control is selected as an attack target. Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls.

I vote for UCK. Your cards have more interesting effects, though most of them are OP. Kevin, your pics were so-so and your OCG wasn't very good.

Hmmm....This was very close for me.

 

Kevin: You need to work on your OCG some more. I liked the pics a lot, and, while some of the effects were a bit common, I thought that the Synchro monste'rs effect was very good. An almost no-fail Fairy Meteor Crush every time it attacks. I thought that the ATK and DEF of your monsters were very balanced. I could see myself using these cards in a duel quite often if they were real.

 

UCK: I thought that these cards of yours would work very well together. If there were an entire set of Valkyrie monsters, then they would make a very formidable deck. Your OCG is very solid. However, I felt that the cards themselves were a bit overpowered. With an above-average DEF on the latter two effect monsters, and effects across the board that made them hard to destroy, they would be (imo) almost too easy to get them on the field.

 

Overall: I'd have to say I vote Kevin for the following reasons:

1) I thought that his cards were more balanced

2) I felt that I would be more apt to use his cards in a duel if they were real. I tend to run a Dragon deck, so his cards would fit right in.

I vote UCK's because I think his cards have more interesting effects. (no offense) Dragon is somewhat of an Overused Type, and I'm not into them. Both pics are good, but I like UCK's more.

there is ocg errors in both, and they both have some problems but overall kevin romans cards are just better

 

u.c.k pics are bad except for the synchro
