I'm still trying to decide which to get for Christmas, and since Brawl's release date has moved until after Christmas, I think Xbox will have the better games. I mean, Halo 3, Bioshock...Awesome games. But I also feel as though I should be patient with the Wii until the real rep series of Nintendo start making games(Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mario, and that new Final Fantasy CC type game thats coming out too!).PS3 isn't completely out of the picture, but my brothers own one and they live an hour away, so I can go and see them whenever. I could also maybe get both a NDS and a PSP instead of any of the next gen consoles. Please, help me decide!

Ps3, or Xbox 360.

The Wii sucks, it's like a gamecube with a new remote. And brawl is coming out in February.

Ps3 has ALOT of games coming out in 2008 and it already has a few good exclusives. But it all depends on which type of gamer you are. If you like FPS, and stuff like that go for the Ps3/360. Most Wii games are either childish, or have a gimmick.

I have all three consoles and I have enjoyed the 360 more.

Wii: It has some fun games but the majority of them are only fun when theres more than one of you. if you have brothers, sisters or friends you can play with then the wii's a lot of fun. I felt the wii's enjoyment can expire quite quickly...Some signature games I've played so far are warioware, resident evil 4 (gold..) zelda twilight princess and super paper mario. PS: Make sure you have a fair amount of room to play the wii..You need a good amount of space to play it and it can be a bit of a burden

PS3: I don't think the ps3 has blossomed enough yet to be fairly judged. Its still fresh blood and as Tkill said it will soon gain a lot of games to make its presence more significant. At the moment I wouldn't recommend it, but in the future...its a buy. Signature games so far Resistance, Oblivion, heavenly sword

Xbox360: The eldest of the three. It has a wider variety of choice then the other two consoles..Thats the main beauty of it, It has so many wonderful games i'm not going to waste time spitting them all out. I recommend this gem for its variety, however it can be a bit stubborn at first (my 360 crashed over and over in the first week)

NDS + PSP: hmm..Depends on what type of gamer you are. Theres no doubt the third generation consoles will offer a lot more in gaming to you but the handheld consoles offer freedom to play them anywhere. PSP isn't fantastic par a few good games (silent hill origins, FF tactics, worms fortress) but the Nintendo DS is a fantastic handheld with several fun and unique games.

I would recommend the xbox 360.

The Wii sucks

Take that back! If you are sensible you'll listen to me and BUY THE WII!

Or you could get DS & PSP if you want 2 handhelds.

No' date=' I know what I'm saying. The Wii is for a younger audience and is the worst choice.

[/quote']

The Wii is more fun to play with more people though. Once it shows it's true colours and gets a few new games, everyone will bow down to it! (Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but still...) Plus it's the cheapest.

Being cheap has nothing to do with quality and doesnt make it a better system. Wii is fun to play with more people, but most of the time you'll be by yourself playing. (Atleast for most people)

Well my friends play with me quite often, so that might be why I think it's better. And being cheap means you can spend the rest of the money on more games. If you only have 1 game, regardless of the console, you're going to get bored fairly quickly.

Definitely, i'd suggest X-box 360. It has more games then Wii, Live and did i mention more games?

I'd go with 360, and i also need a 360...

Get Wii. With Brawl in Feb and Super Mario Galaxy (Got same score a Halo 3 from gamespot :D), Metroid Prime Corruption, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Wii Sports that comes with it, plus other classic Nintendo games like Super Mario World it both great games and it being the cheapest of the 3, you can get more games at a better prices.

Flame Drag's right, the wii is the best system out right now. The PS3 will be coming out with great games but... #1 It won't have Brawl #2 It's VERY expensive #3 Did I mention it won't have Brawl? Don't really have anything negative to say about the 360. I would buy the wii. I don't care for the 360 because #1 I need to lose some weight (Too much information for you there probably, lol.) #2 I don't have the cash to buy it.

360 has just as many good games, which are already out. Gears of War, Halo 3, The organge box, Assassins creed, BioShock, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Dead Rising, Mass effect etc.

So why does it suck? Games will not support and will never run in HD resolution. In this day an age to NOT include HD support is completely unacceptable. For a console to be even considered "Next Gen", it NEEDS to have this! Games are in their own proprietary format. which means no DVDs or HD DVDs. The guts inside this console are pathetic. The hardware was outdated before the console even came out. The games do not vary in genre, and they are all geared towards toddlers to teens.

But wait, people say the controller is revolutionary ! To a point, yes it is. Remember the glove for Nintendo a long time ago? The truth is that Sony and Microsoft can and probably will make a controller similar to Wii controllers. That is the ONLY thing Nintendo has going for it. If you want to put down 150 or 200 dollars on this system cause of a controller, go right ahead.

But wait, some people might say Nintendo lets you download the classics! Give me a break. There has been emulators around so you can play your classic games on many consoles and the PC for years now. Not to mention there are those plug and play retro games that work with any tv.

People who buy the Nintendo Wii are casual gamers, and I have no problem with that. But the console is far from revolutionary. Its not the best thing ever made. And please, for the love of god, develop a game thats NOT based on Mario.

What have you got against the wii tkill? There are some great games on the wii, 360, and will soon be on the PS3. The wii is cheaper, which actually is a great thing for us on a...lower budget. You've got to agree, putting RE4 on the wii was a great thing. And a lot of the wii games have gotten great ratings, (Not all of them, might I mention Pokemon Battle Revolution.) Once again, I say go with the wii. I recall a Gaming mag saying that Nintendo has just pulled out all the right stops this time around. I don't really give a care if it supports HD or not. For me, it's just about the game. Could care less about graphics.
