Yes, I am a huge fan of Metallica. Pure Metal. Beautiful. When Metallica plays their music, a zombie is brought back to life to spread the love of good music.

Of course, that is my opinion. Other may feel that rusted cars become brand new rather zombies brought back to life :D "Duh do tcsh *Does the traditional beat when someone cracks a joke*

OK, I apologize. It was a horrible joke. If you need brain surgery, you let me know. I pay the bill.

[spoiler=List Of All My Favorite Metallica Songs]

Fade to Black

Master of Puppets

Shortest Straw

St. Anger

Frantic

Wherever I May Roam

Cyanide

My Apacolypse

The Day That Never Comes

Enter Sandman

Trapped Under Ice

Battery

Disposable Heroes

Most Favorite of These?

Fade to Black and My Apacolypse

So, what does everyone else think of Metallica?

What I think? I think that Metallica hasn't been good since 1989 - 1991. The Black Album was the last decent album they released. Everything else from there on has either been bad, terrible, or just not memorable.

My favorite Metallica songs would be Fade to Black, Sanitarium, Whiplash, Seek & Destroy, The Thing That Should Not Be, To Live Is To Die, Orion, Dyer's Eve, Blackened, The Unforgiven, and Leper Messiah.

I like enter sandman and all nightmare long

thoose songs are why i like metallica in the first place

and BMars1991: Well i agree on every one loves it so its old to hear people say that its there favorite [even tho it is my favorite' date= it gets old to hear peole say that] at the time, the guitar solo is one of the hardest to play of all time [if im correct, its still somewhere near the top]

It's not THAT hard, so I wouldn't go so far as to say it's one of the hardest of all time. I can't play all of it yet though, because Kirk does some weird stuff like pulling the high E string off of the fretboard while diving with the whammy bar (along with another part or two that's giving me trouble), but I can play all of the first solo after the clean section. That's a fun solo to play.

I agree. Older Metallica was 10 times better than the newer. And for their album "Garage Inc.", personally, I think they tried to hard and it ended as an epic phail. But it did have some good songs like "Turn the Page" and "Whiskey in the Jar".

Well it's common Rock n' Roll fate. A band's earlier albums will always be better than the newer albums, except for a few bands. *coughs*AC/DC*coughs*

Yes, it was. And yea, it was a good song too.

Metallica is 'pure metal'? Metallica is more like 'lame metal'.

I'm sorry you feel that way mate.

Fade to black.....For whom the bell tolls are decent...

Fade to Black has to be my personal favorite of all their songs.

I;m not a huge fan of metallica, there okay, but not great.

I really hate the lead vocalist, man talk about annoying...

though its not necessarily fair coming from me because I'm not exactly into mainstream metal, I like alot of hardcore bands, especially alot of bands from the local music scene.

Ohio has some great bands :D

I used to be overly obsessed with them and learned every song i knew by them on guitar haha. I'm actually going to see them live in October with Lamb Of God. I must admit I'm more excited for Lamb Of God because James' voice annoys me a lot these days. Still the show is going to be amazing.
