Lyfe.
Yes, I am a huge fan of Metallica. Pure Metal. Beautiful. When Metallica plays their music, a zombie is brought back to life to spread the love of good music. Of course, that is my opinion. Other may feel that rusted cars become brand new rather zombies brought back to life :D "Duh do tcsh *Does the traditional beat when someone cracks a joke* OK, I apologize. It was a horrible joke. If you need brain surgery, you let me know. I pay the bill. Dismal Euphony
What I think? I think that Metallica hasn't been good since 1989 - 1991. The Black Album was the last decent album they released. Everything else from there on has either been bad, terrible, or just not memorable. My favorite Metallica songs would be Fade to Black, Sanitarium, Whiplash, Seek & Destroy, The Thing That Should Not Be, To Live Is To Die, Orion, Dyer's Eve, Blackened, The Unforgiven, and Leper Messiah. The Crimson King
I love them. They're a freaking amazing band, but second to Disturbed on my list. Still, if someone says they suck, than their taste in music sucks.

Dismal Euphony
Metallica is unbeatable. My favorite song is Master of Puppets. That song is SO overrated. Don't get me wrong, it's a great song, but I'm so tired of hearing it because everyone is "ZOMG MASTER OF PUPPETS!!!11!!1ONEONE!!1!ONE. GREATEST SONG EVAR!!!11!" Lazer Yoshi
Great stuff! :DHowever, their newer stuff is nowhere near the Epicness of their Old Stuff.

I can't play all of it yet though, because Kirk does some weird stuff like pulling the high E string off of the fretboard while diving with the whammy bar (along with another part or two that's giving me trouble), but I can play all of the first solo after the clean section. That's a fun solo to play.
Yogg-Saron
The older albums from them have the best songs. Personally, I think the newer albums are alright.
Lyfe.
I agree. Older Metallica was 10 times better than the newer. And for their album "Garage Inc.", personally, I think they tried to hard and it ended as an epic phail. But it did have some good songs like "Turn the Page" and "Whiskey in the Jar". A band's earlier albums will always be better than the newer albums, except for a few bands. *coughs*AC/DC*coughs*
Captain Lawless
Like I said in the last 'Tallica thread, their old stuff was tight. Black - Anger... i wouldn't buy it, bit it's okay to listen to. Death Magnetic was getting them back to their roots.Fav songs? Creeping Death, Hit the Lights, Battery, Anesthesia, Fight Fire w/ Fire.I drew this for Art 2. 80's Hetfield ftw

pokeslob
I;m not a huge fan of metallica, there okay, but not great.I really hate the lead vocalist, man talk about annoying... though its not necessarily fair coming from me because I'm not exactly into mainstream metal, I like alot of hardcore bands, especially alot of bands from the local music scene.Ohio has some great bands :D
Lyfe.
I gotta admit, his voice can get pretty annoying. And all the songs on each album sound similar. Thanks goodness I like them though.
Insanepaco247
I'll admit that the albums do have similar tones depending on the album they're from. But Hetfield's voice is awesome!!! My favorite songs are probably Creeping Death, Ride the Lightning, Devil's Dance, Puppets (duh, but it's not the best song by them), and Fuel. vadim26
I used to be overly obsessed with them and learned every song i knew by them on guitar haha. I'm actually going to see them live in October with Lamb Of God. I must admit I'm more excited for Lamb Of God because James' voice annoys me a lot these days. Still the show is going to be amazing.
