Cheaters and rulebreakers in contests will be banned from this forum for a suiting amount of time. This includes bad judges, Hosts, and contestants who use other people's cards. Repeat offenders will have their accounts banned from YCM. We take cheating seriously in this forum.

 

k im not a judge or a host and i didnt use anyone elses card and im not cheating or breaking the rules so i can do it

Effect: this card monster cannot be normal summoned. this card can only be summoned by fusion summon. When this monster is fusion summoned draw one card from the top of your deck. if its a monster' date=' special summon it in face up attack or defense.[/b'] if not then either send it to the bottom of the deck or destroy it.

this is where it gets a little tricky. i can see this effect in one of 2 ways. either it says Goddess of Darkness gains 500 attack for every level 4 or higher dark-type monster on the field, or it could say, Goddess of Darkness gains attack equal to the level of a monster summoned in this way x 500.

This has tons of mistakes as well. Besides, you aren't allowed to edit contestants' cards. T_T

first off this contest is free, so you dont have to worry about donating points in order to participate. and now that i have made that clear, time for the outlines of this card contest.

 

 

so this contest is basically for anyone who wants to join in. there'll be a submission phase of 2 weeks starting this saturday. you can still put up cards before then, its just the extra time before the actual 2 weeks start and any cards posted before this saturday will also be accepted.

 

 

so here is what you will get depending on what place you come in.

 

 

1st place: 3 reps! WOO!!!

 

2nd place: 2 reps and 10 points.

 

3rd place: 1 rep and 20 points.

 

 

the points are basically a partial consolation prize for those in the top 3 that didn't make first place.

 

 

4th-6th place gets 20 points.

 

7th-10th gets 10 points.

 

 

after the main part of the contest is over those who are in the top 3 will have a 2nd contest to see who is number one since you can't have more then 6 reps total as prizes in a single regular contest. (i will post the thread for the top 3 contest at the end of this one)

 

thats only for the top 3 though, so dont think that its another contest for anyone because it isnt. even so, it would be much appreciated if those who didnt make it to the top 3 stayed and voted for their favorite card.

 

 

now for the rules. basically you can post any card you want. however! the ocg needs to be as close to correct as possible. i won't abide by cards being submitted that have horrible ocg and stuff.

 

also, the cards have to be balanced, and cannot have monster types you invented yourself like hunter, rapper, darkling, or anything like that. the cards submitted in this contest must be actual types already involved in the yu-gi-oh! tcg like fiend, warrior, fairy, stuff like that.

 

that doesnt mean that your card has to be a monster though. it could be a spell or trap card too. but you can only post one card per person, so make sure that its your best one! ^^

 

and now one final thing. as i said before, the submission phase will be 2 weeks. the voting will take place the 2 weeks after that.

 

so basically aug. 8-21 is the submission phase and aug. 22-sept. 4 is the voting phase. after that, i will tally up the votes and we will see who wins and moves onto the top 3.

 

also, if you find someone elses card that you like better then the one that you voted for initially, you can change your vote to that. but you have to put in your post that you're changing your vote, and you can only change your vote twice. having said that, i shall be keeping track of who has how many votes (as well as who has changed their votes) in each one of my posts so as to keep everyone up to date.

 

 

now that i have given the main outlines as to the rules and rewards for the contest i have just 1 or 2 other things to say. when submitting cards, i would like to ask that your ocg is as current as possible. it isnt necessary, per-se. it just helps keep me and whoever else is judging from being confused.

 

also, you cannot vote for your own card. you have to find someone elses card that you like and vote for that one. that having been said, i, too, shall be participating as a contestant. dont worry though, i wont try to rig the contest. im just not that type of guy. and now all you guys need to do is post your cards. so good luck to everyone, and happy posting! ^^

oh would both go you just shut up??! first of all' date=' i wasnt editing anything. i gave suggestions as to how it might be worded better. i did the same thing for at least one other person and you dont hear him complaining! also, i explicitly stated that my ocg [b']might not be perfect! i warned him of that in advance, as well as the fact that i didnt have a lot to work with on his card for re-wording. also, i specifically remember saying to him either here or in pm that where we go from there, is a decision i leave to you.... my exact words. meaning that he could choose to use some of my siggestions as is, or he could decide to modify them as he saw fit. i gave advice, how and if he used it is completely up to him. and its not cheating if i do the same for others. note that i did that with one other person i stated before, and if i remember correctly, it was RazroaTheJusticeWolf. and i would also give advice to others as needed and they would decide as to whether or not to accept it. as far as im concerned (and magister18 if i interpreted correctly) i did not overstep my bounds.

edit: okay, so basically the only thing wrong is that you dont have the series number on the written format. but since it simply says fixed-fixed on your card, i wont worry about that. so as of now you are officially in the clear.

and if you want to dq me then i dont mind i just want to see how i rank with my cards and deluge has a prtty good card so it will be a good contest even everyone on here has a good card better than mine but that isnt what i care about i just want to make cards that are good enough for me and i ty for your advice and support but if you feel that i did cheat or anything that i did wrong you can dq me i wont mind ty

maliki! you dont say what happens when! that is my prerogative. anyway, the voting phase starts tomorrow. saturday the 22nd of august. so this is the last day that anyone can get their cards in. also, i dont really make exceptions to the requirements of the contest even for late comers. that being said archwing, your card is actually not really having any problems with it that i can see. the only thing is that you dont have the defense of your monster in the written format. other then that, your basically good to go. also, i will allow you a grace period for finalization of your card. so you have until saturday 11:59 p.m. to get it taken care of. also, i will ad you to the bracket of contestants. afterwards, and this is to the contestants of this contest in general, i will do one final check of the cards that everyone has entered. anyone who has not finished the written format of their cards by the time that i get on tomorrow will be dropped from the voting phase. no questions asked, no grace periods, and no revocations. this decision is final and irrevocable. there will be no changes to the contestants bracket after that. the only exception is archwing since i told him that he would be allowed and extra days grace period since he only just got in today. and now i go to do what must be done. remember, the voting phase starts tomorrow and ends on september the 4th! if you forget what the end date is, look at what it says at the top of page one and it should allay any confusion that might otherwise ensue.

 

by the way Magister18, i would not dq you for 2 reasons. one, i am not a mean person, which is way i gave numerous warnings as to the need for finalization of card formats, both here, and going through the trouble of sending individual pm's specifying as to what needed to be taken care of for each individual person. and second, because since i was the one who up and started the whole thing, i wold be the one at fault if anyone. anyway, since im owner of this thread i cant be at fault for that since i hold ultimate power here! :mrgreen: (at least as far as this thread is concerned whereas i dont violate any of the rules for ycm, i think. 'O_O;) and now i go to do what must be done. asta!

pretty good, except that i dont get the 'lucifer' bit and there's a bit of a problem with the ocg in the 2nd part there, but other then that your good to go. and now the submission phase really id over. the people in the contest are locked in, and i am currently deleting those who shall not be participating due to finalization failure. you will see the complete list soon.
