He was tired, no lie, but today was probably one of the biggest days of his life. Today was the day that new Duel Monsters cards came out. Chris straightened his hair and ran downstairs. He then realized that he had on only red-and-white striped boxers. He ran back upstairs than came back downtstairs wearing a black long-sleeve button-up shirt. The sleeves were cuffed up to his elbows and he also had a white t-shirt underneath. He wore black fingerless gloves with long black baggy pants. He also wore black and white Adidas. As he ran downstairs, he combed his spiky brown hair. "Mom! What's for breakfast?" Chris yelled from across the kitchen. "Waffles, dear. And don't yell. You are 5 feet away so there's no need to yell," quipped Chris' mom. "Okay. I can't eat because I am going to be late for the release of the new Duel Monsters cards. The pack is called Space Time," Chris explained. "Didn't your father help create some of those cards?" Chris' mother asked. "Yea! He said that he was going to give me something special and if I hurry that I could get it today," Chris explained out of breath. "Don't talk so fast dear. Now stop jabbering and get downtown before someone else finds those cards," Chris' mom said. Chris nodded and ran outside. He ran back inside because he forgot his backback which held his Duel Disk. He grabbed it swiftly, ran back down the steps from his house, and straight downtown.-----------------------Once Chris got downtown to his father's store, there was a long line potruding from the entrance. "Damn. I'm late," Chris growled to himself. Chris stood in line for nearly an hour before a tall persone wearing an orange tee with blue pants cut in front of Chris. "Hey! You can't cut in line!" "Watch out, punk! Don't make me squash you!" the guy yelled. He pushed Chris aside. Chris regained his balance and pushed the guy back. "Why don't we settle this like men! Let's Duel!" Chris screamed. Everyone heard and turned around to form a circle around the two. "Fine. If you want. We'll Duel!" the guy screamed back. A roaring cheer was heard from the crowd before someone interrupted. "They don't have any cards!" the guy yelled. "That's okay. I'll give them some," a guy said from within the crowd. "I don't need any. I have my own Deck," the guy in orange said. "What's your name, son?" the guy who offered the cards queried. "Nicky Price," the guy in orange replied. "Nice to meet you. My name's Jackson. Jackson Harris," the guy said. "Dad!" Chris yelled. "Hey son! Nice to meet you! You seem to have gotten yourself into some trouble, here. Last I recall, you lost your cards and I said I'd give you some more. Here they are," Jackson explained as he handed Chris cards held together with a rubber band. Chris sifted through the cards, smiling at each card. When he reached the last card, he gazed at his dad with his big, brown eyes. He flipped the card over; it was gold. Jackson smiled and walked away. "Ready?" Chris asked slyly. "To kick your butt? Sure!" Nicky sneered. "DUEL!" both yelled.==============DUEL Chris HarrisDeck: 40Specialty: ? V Nicky PriceDeck: 40Specialty: Card Removal============== Nicky: I'll go. First, I lay two cards face-down then activate Reinforcement of the Army! I can now search my Deck for one Level 4 or lower Warrior-type monster and bring it to my hand. *Searches Deck for a Warrior-type monster. Finds Obnoxious Celtic Guard and shows Chris. Nicky then shuffles his Deck* Go! Obnoxious Celtic Guard! In Attack Mode! I end my turn. Chris: Fine! My turn! I lay one card face-down and activate Time Lapse! With this card, I can execute up to three consecutive turns. However, after the amount of turns I choose is over, you get to execute the same amount of turns. It's a win/win situation. Next, I summon Elemental Hero Gravaios! In Attack Mode! Gravaios! Attack the Obnoxious Celtic Guard! ######Obnoxious Celtic Guard: ATK 1400Elemental Hero Gravaios: ATK 1400TIE###### NICKY: You dimwit! Both our monsters are destroyed! CHRIS: That's what you think. With Gravaios' effect, I can search my Deck and bring one Elemental Hero Gravax to my hand! *Searches Deck for Elemental Hero Gravax. Shows Nicky the card, then shuffles his Deck* Now! I activate my Quick-Play Spell Card! Mystical Hurricane! With this card, I can select and destroy up to three Spell or Trap cards. *Chris activates card. Nicky's face-down cards are revealed to be Ultimate Offering and Monster Reborn and sent to the Graveyard* Now I execute turn 2! I draw one card and activate it! Monster Reborn! Elemental Hero Gravaios! Return to the field! Now I sacrifice it to summon Elemental Hero Gravax! Gravax! Attack the opponent's Life Points directly! Gravity Grip! *Elemental Hero Gravax is surrounded by warped gravity. Nicky is then surrounded by the same gravity and is dealt 2050 points of Direct Damage* ######CHRIS: 4000 LPNICKY: 1950 LP###### I end my turn. Now you can execute two consecutive turns. NICKY: That's all I'm going to need. I draw, and activate Change of Heart! Elemental Hero Gravax is in my control! Next, I summon Great Angus! Both! Attack the opponent's Life Points directly! ######NICKY: 1950 LPCHRIS: 150 LP###### Now, for turn two, which will be the last turn! I activate Pot of Greed and draw two cards. I sacrifice Great Angus to summon Magical Marionette! Then, I remove Great Angus from play to Special Summon Inferno! CHRIS: Not so fast! I activate Quick Lightning! This card destroys all monsters on the opponent's side of the field. That means Magical Marionette and Inferno are sent to the Graveyard. NICKY: Fine. I end my turn. *By this time, Nicky has no cards on the field and Chris has Elemental Hero Gravax on the field* CHRIS: This is for cutting me in line! Elemental Hero Gravax! Attack the opponent's Life Points directly and end this Duel! *Elemental Hero Gravax executes Gravity Grip once again. Nicky is astounded that he lost. He drops to his knees slowly* ==============DUEL WIN!Chris HarrisDeck: 32Specialty: Elemental Heroes V LOSE!Nicky PriceDeck: 29Specialty: Card Removal=============="That was fast!" exclaimed Chris. "Wow...beat by some punk kid...," Nicky grunted as he skulked off into the crowd. The crowd gathered around Chris and embraced him in hugs. "Good job son on your first Duel with the new Deck," Chris' father Jackson exclaimed. "Yea. I guess I did good," Chris said to himself as he looked to the sky.
