Elemental Champions Chapter 2

Well, since I finished 2 chapter, I decided to put chapter 2 up as well. After this one it'll take longer to write chapter 3.

 

Chapter 2 “Fortress showdown! Orca Omega Fortress vs Dark Fortress! (2)”

 

Leo – 3400

Prof. Beav – 1000

 

Professor Beav was about to draw his next card. “This move must count, otherwise this duel is already over before it has even begun it`s second phase.” He looked at the card. “Yeah, the card I was waiting for.”

 

“Hey, who said that?” He looked around and then he saw Fortress-Force – Iron Knight standing next to him looking at him.

“What if I don’t want that? Shoot, get away.”

Leo was looking at him. Next to him Armed Dragon lv. 3 appeared in spirit-form.

“You have any idea what he is doing.” Armed Dragon shook his dragon-head and made some noises.

“Yeah, he probably has some flee upon his pants.”

 

“Sorry for my awkward behaviour, Leo. Now let`s continue.” He held up the card he was about to play. Beav doubted his next move and put the card back in his hand, before taking out another card. “I duel alone!” He held the card up. “My spellcard Interception-Wall. All cards except Dark-Fortress are destroyed, including your the Legendary Ocean card. Next I play one card facedown and pay 500 lifepoints in order to summon two Cannon-Token`s.” Two newly cannons appear. “I end my turn.”

 

‘I got to admit, Beav is acting weird.’ Then he saw Iron Knight in spirit-form. ‘I get it! He has a duel-spirit as well.’ He drew a card. “Despite you have destroyed all my cards, I have a new idea up my sleave.” “Not before I activate Solemn Wishes. Now each time I draw a card, I gain 500 lifepoints.” The spirit of Armed Dragon appeared again next to Leo. <> Armed Dragon disappeared silently.

 

“Am I seeing things or did I just see an Armed Dragon appear and disappear on your side of the field, Leo?” Leo looked up. Professor Beav still doesn’t understand the duel-spirits?? He should have found out about them now. “Anyway, I play Pot of Greed and draw two cards.” He drew two cards from his deck. “Well, look at that. I play Wall of the Sea, a spellcard that allows me to give up 800 lifepoints and bring out one water-attribute monster to the field. Orca Mega-Fortress of Darkness appear!” The giant orca with mechanic`s all over it appeared. “So what? Now you have a bigger monster. I can still beat you.” “We’ll see.”

 

Leo – 2600

Prof. Beav – 500

 

“Is it just me or did professor Beav just find out he has a duel-spirit as well?” Mary and Leonard looked up. Tommy and Ashley arrived. “Hey guys, I didn’t know you would be here.” “Well, we do want to see our best bud duel in his final duel of the schoolyear. So I guess it is true, we as friends can see eachother`s duelspirits.” Mary nodded as her own appeared next to her, her Cloudian – Eye of the Typhoon. “I did not know you counted professor Beav as a friend.” “Well, having a professor as a friend never hurts does it?” They all had to agree.

 

Somewhere just outside the arena, two people are walking around. “Jeez, I haven’t done anything today.” The girl smiled while turning to the boy who spoke. “Isn’t that what we usely do? Anything?” The boy nodded. “Yeah, José, I guess you’re right. Let`s do something fun, let`s sneak a card which manipulates a deck into a first-year`s deck and then duel him and win his best card.” The girl nodded. They saw a first-year coming around the corner. “Hey, you there!” They walked over to him. “Hey, may I see your duelling deck? I’d like to see whether I can make up something of your strategies.” The first-year nodded and gave the boy his deck. He turned around, took a card from his pocket and inserted it into the deck and gave it back to the first-year. “Very interesting, now would you like to duel? You must start with 2000 lifepoints and we can start with 4000.” The first-year reluctantly agrees.

Zade (boy) – 0

 

“We didn’t succeed this time.”

 

Back in the arena, the Orca Mega-Fortress of Darkness faced the Dark-Fortress and the Cannon-Token`s. “Good, teach, your turn!” Professor Beav nodded and drew a card. Beav looked around and saw Iron Knight standing next to him again. “Yeah, I drew you again. Good I tribute my Cannon-Token in order to summon another Fortress-Force – Iron Knight (1500/2000) onto the field.”

 

His lifepoints shot up to 1000, because of Solmn Wishes. “Now I tribute 500 lifepoints to summon two Cannon-Token`s again. Then I play Pot of Greed myself and draw two cards and because I drew cards again, I gain 500 lifepoints.” He once again had 1000 lifepoints.

“Now I play Tribute to the Doomed and discard one card,” he ditched an Fortress-Outpost (0/500), “and destroy your Orca Mega-Fortress of Darkness.”

 

“Don’t worry, Beav, you’ll see him back in a stronger form. Appear my Orca Omega Fortress (2600/2100). This card can only be summoned when Orca Mega-Fortress of Darkness is destroyed. It ends your turn immidietly.” He drew a card. “Now I pay 600 lifepoints and activate the ability of my Orca Omega Fortress and destroy your Dark-Fortress!” However the fortress was still standing.

 

“Yes, I am afraid, my fortress cannot be destroyed by the special abilities of monsters.” Professor Beav smiled. “Good one, teach.” Leo`s lifepoints dropped to 2000. “I have another card for you. Orca`s Drill, an equipspellcard which allows me to deal a quarter of my Orca`s atackstrength to you directly!” Beav`s lifepoints dropped to 350.

“I, young Leo, have a spell of my own, which I can play from my hand when my lifepoints get below 500, Gear-Force-Fist. My lifepoints increase by half your monster`s attackstrength!” So his lifepoints shot up to 1650. Beav smiled, he had some more breath to catch now.

“Well, I don’t care. I play Heavy Storm in order to destroy your Dark-Fortress!” The winds of destruction were blown to Professor Beav and he was about to give up 500 lifepoints in order to activate the special ability of Dark-Fortress, when he heard Iron Knight again. Beav trusted his instincts and paid 500 lifepoints.

Prof. Beav – 1150

 

“My turn is not yet done. I play Material Reloader. This spellcard allows me to remove one monster from the game and bring back one spellcard from my graveyard. So I remove Omega-Whale from the game and bring back The Legendary Ocean and of course activate it.” The duelling arena once again filled with holographic water. “But now I add one more counter to my fieldspellcard, called Underwater Temple of Ceros. This spellcard allows me to put a spellcounter on it per time a monster attacks.” A Shizuken (900/800), a large seasnake, appeared.

 

“Shizuken can attack directly because of Umi and The Legendary Ocean counts as Umi.” Shizuken shot a beam of water at Beav who stepped aside.

Prof. Beav – 50

 

A light appeared on the Underwater Temple of Ceros.

“Oh, really, what makes you think that?”, not noticing he was talking out loud and making a fool of himself in front of the rest of the school.

“We’ll see.”

 

“Underwater Temple of Ceros allows you to draw a card, thus you gain 500 lifepoints (550). But it allows me to summon Orca Omega-Fortress back to the field.” Beav grunted, that was something he could not use at the moment.

Prof. Beav – 550

 

“Oh, and in case you think your Fortress will defend you, you might check your rulebook again, since by removing one spellcounter on my temple I can force him in attackmode.” However the Dark-Fortress did and Beav started smiling. “Good, now appear my Dark-Gear-Fortress (3000/0). I was hoping you would do that.”

 

“So did I. I have one more trick upon my sleeve, go Shield & Sword! Now your attack is 0 and mine is 2100. Destroy him!” All cannons on the Orca Omega Fortress were pointed to Beav and fired!

Prof. Beav – 0

 

Everything disappeared and the crowd stood up, starting to applaud for the two duellists. “Well, teach, it was an honour.” “No, Leo, the honour was all mine. Both duelling you in your final duel and being your teacher.” They shook hands while Leo`s friends rushed up to him.

 

“We knew you could do it.” Leo nodded. “Well, I guess you can set of back into the world again.” Leo nodded and he moved towards the stage where all graduates were, leaving Ashley and Tommy alone. Leo, Leonard and Mary waved at them.

 

“Congratulations, fifth-years and now graduates on the Underwater KC Duel-Academy. I remember you as the first group of duellists appearing here, rookies in the duelling business and look where it got you. You are the new promising duellists of the future. We wish you luck and a lot of success in your further careers and of course we hope you will come back a lot to visit it here.” The graduates all returned to their friends and they all went to the bars.

 

“So what are you guys gonna do?” Leo smiled at Tommy’s remark. “Well, I guess I am going back to my family and say hello to mom and dad. Then I might try to find a tournament to test out my abilities in the real world and maybe we could do that together.” Ashley and Tommy looked at eachother. “Well considering that me and Ashley still have one more year to go, we won’t be allowed to go.” They all nodded and drank again.

Underwater Temple of Ceros

This card can only be activated when there is an “Umi” on the field. Put one spellcounter on this card per time a monster attacks. Remove one spellcounter from this card to change the battleposition of one monster on your opponent`s side of the field. Your opponent can draw one card per spellcounter you put on this card and summon one water-type monster back to your field.

Effect: This card can only be summoned when “Dark-Fortress” is forced into attackmode. When this card is forced back into defencemode, exchange this card again with “Dark-Fortress”. More details are unknown.
