You haven't even read the first one?

Nope. Didn't see the book 2 on the side.I got it in 4th grade and I didn't read it until 7th grade last last year. And I never bothered to buy the book.

Then what are you doing here not reading the first one?

A horrible thought has just occurred to me: the movie passing the books in popularity. *shudders*

Read the review online for a book report. I was on the computer and acidentally chose it instead of sea of monsters.

It is a great series, I highly recommend reading it.

I have not finished it, but from what I have read, it is a really great series that will keep you hooked.

Hope the movie is good!

By the way, I hope it doesn't end up like Twilight, where people who liked the movie claim to be fans just 'cause they liked the movie. ( I hate Twilight btw ).

My big brother is working on the film, (along with the 100+ people with the exact same job, but still...) I regretably have not read the series, but now i really want to.

Great special effects from what ive seen,

but thats the same reaction i had to Eragon at first, and that was the only good thing about that movie

I fear this movie will be as bad as the Eragon film.

That would have to be a rather spectacular failure on Columbus-san's part; Eragon was a horrendous half-adaptation of a book that wasn't nearly as good as Lightning Thief pre-adaptation.

Considering the fact that Columbus didn't work on Eragon and instead worked on the first three Harry Potter films, this may not be as bad, but I'm placing the success of this film on the shoulders of Brandon T. Jackson and Alexandra Daddario, since it will be impossible for them to get Grover and Annabeth right.
