.:*Cyber~KaiserX*:.
Just as the topic says. Do you think japan makes better music than American music. (Includes South American, Mexican, and Canadian music) I would say, in my opinion that Japan makes very good up-beat and sad song, but I would have to say American songs are better. What do you think? Do you agree or disagree with me?
Guest JoshIcy
We have a music section. And it might. But I believe it's focused more culturally. Therefore, this question cannot be answered.
.:*Cyber~KaiserX*:.
Oh thank you moving it. I thought the Music section, meant you post your favorite songs and such. I didn't know that you can have music discussions in there as well. And I do think your right, I might say Japanese music is better, but if I new alot of them, but I know only a few. Although, some people still may like Japanese music more.
Shradow
American music has Country. I don't think I've ever heard a Japanese Country song. Japanese songs FTW!
Guest JoshIcy
American music has Country. I don't think I've ever heard a Japanese Country song. Japanese songs FTW! What is it with people hating on country? It's a great genre.
Death Metal
America! All Japan has is J-Rock/Pop with the occasional Metal Band sprinkled in (I know this thanks to Mars). American music has Country. I don't think I've ever heard a Japanese Country song. Japanese songs FTW! What is it with people hating on country? It's a great genre. Cause they know Bluegrass is better ;)
Dismal Euphony
I actually prefer music from Scandinavia. :-) Though, Japan does have a handful of GREAT metal bands.
Lazer Yoshi
Japan's OK, but it's mostly Pop and crap I don't like. :/I don't hate Japan at all, it's just that I don't care for their kind of Music.
CinnamonStar
Oh thank you moving it. I thought the Music section' date=' meant you post your favorite songs and such.[/quote'] That's just the sticky.;) I don't think it has anything to do with the country or culture but at this point, I think Pop is way better in Japan than in America. Japanese Rock and Metal can be great too but I'd say the Western part is still one step forward here. For now.
cacnea
Both have there good and bad music, it's just preference, although i think that there are some grate japanese songs...
OMGAKITTY
I tend to focus more on the music when listening to Japanese music, because I have no idea what the funk they are saying... >_>I don't know, its taste, I guess. My favorite songs will always be the ones that have lyrics I understand and relate to though.
Zeroshot
America is much more advanced in music than JapanWe've been worshipping satan in songs since 1963
FindingTheEverlight
I think it really depends on the song/band. I like music in all languages as long as it sounds good to me. But as for Japanese music, I'm a fan of bands like Dir en grey, Maximum the Hormone and Rentrer en Soi.
