Dismal Euphony
I actually find both of them a little hard to grasp. Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time actually believing in either one. I have a hard time grasping that at one time millions/billions/or trillions of years ago, there was nothing at all and it suddenly imploded/exploded and everything we know of was created. But, I also have a hard time believing that when there was nothing at all, God just decided "well, this is boring" and created an unfathomable amount of galaxies, stars, and planets. Like I said, maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time believing either one of these theories. I don't really know what to believe when it comes to the creation of our universe, but then again I never really cared or put too much thought into it. At some point in time something happened and here we are. *Shrug*

Womi
Stephen Hawking said the Big Bang happened. And if he sais it, it is right. Don't you agree the statement that Stephen is the most intelligent living person?
alcaldias_27
In my opinion, neutral. It's almost impossible to know if God or the Big Bang Theory created the universe. Each theory has a drawback:God: Read the posts above...Big Bang theory: where did the single point which exploded and expanded to create the universe come from? And if the point came from a previous universe, where did that universe come from? this is why science and religion contradict and complement each other. Each of their theories contradict and complement the other. Religion always applies cosmic powers from a god or gods, while science applies theories and laws. I, myself partially believe that God (I'm a catholic) may have guided the scientific forces throughout the universe' history, For example, God may have controlled the formation of the Earth. God may have made the Big Bang. God may have guided evolution. Remember, this is just my opinion. By the way, are some of you atheists? Just asking... My choice is obvious. <_<Some of you can't even prove that God does exist. And some of you can't prove that the Big Bang happen. But here is what happened. Two Alien overlords of nothing said, "Yeah, we need to control something, cause, there's..nothing, know what I mean?"So they invented a giant bomb, containing every single amount of Element, Atom, and everything, which expands times to every second. Then, the aliens said, "Take cover!!"Then boom, which in several thousands of trillions of years later, we are now posting about this. So read this:So, based in my theory, God(s) is the Aliens I just made up, and the Big Bang was caused by a bomb. =D I'd say this is very good information no? Silver Lining
There should be a third option posted for users who don't believe in either. They could have their own theories; (is theories with an ies or y's?). Lol. I personally think that the universe was inhabited and created by apes, which over time, evovled into millions of specimen. Womi
Stephen Hero already put up theories why god CANT exist. Sure you cant forbid the confession of others. People who believe in god/s should do that! :DAs long as they dont try to destroy me... What?1. There is no concrete proof that God either exists or does not exist, so I don't really care what "Stephen Hero" says. 2. Confession isn't strictly a Christian thing. Its Catholic. -___-; 3. I don't really see the point to this post?

Womi
Then where did god come from? D:There's the snake biting it's tail. There isnt a solution yet. The fact that everything appeared because/out of something else is a paradoxon because there must've been a beginning. This must mean that on ONE point, something came into being out of nothing and thats impossible, too! We humans arent ready to solve that, there is something we dont know which is the key to all. I think it has something to do with Anti-Matter. Because its the counterpart of existing matter. And OMGK, if you dont know Stephen Hawking I feel sorry for you. Flame Dragon
Big Bang, but what caused the Big Bang? Where did that matter come from?
Exiro
Big Bang' date=' but what caused the Big Bang?[/quote'] Alright, I will explain this once.Everything that exists right now, all the matter, has always existed. It doesn't matter what it has been, what it is, or what it will be, but it was, is and shall remain, as something. Let's assume that the universe extends itself (which has a whole theory behind it as well, that you just got to believe or not) and go back to a very small time after the Big Bang. All the matter existed back then as well, but it had little space, as the universe was very small. All the stars, planets, etc. etc. were thrown together in this small universe, which caused extremely high temperatures. Now let's go to a moment in time a very little earlier than the previous moment. The same amount of matter existed, but the universe was even smaller, which caused even higher temperatures. Every time the volume of the universe halves, the temperature doubles. Finally, we will go back in time as much as possible, when the universe... didn't exist yet. All the matter that exists, existed back then. But there was no space, which means that the temperature is more than Googol. Even more than Googolplex. It was infinitely high! No, even higher! To measure the temperature at the very beginning of the universe, one would have t- Where did that matter come from? Lulz, idunno!
