Poison Plants and Plant Poisons

This is a Dark Signer archetype I made up pretty much on the spot.

 

Poison Plant - Bittersweet

DARK Level 4 [Plant / Effect]

ATK 0 DEF 1800

You can Normal Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. When this card is summoned, you can add "Plant Poison - Solanine" from your Deck to your hand.

 

Poison Plant - Deadly Nightshade

DARK Level 5 [Plant / Effect]

ATK 0 DEF 2500

You can Normal Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. When this card is summoned, you can add "Plant Poison - Hyoscyamine" or "Plant Poison - Atropine" from your Deck to your hand.

 

Poison Plant - Fly Agaric

DARK Level 4 [Plant / Effect]

ATK 0 DEF 2200

You can Normal Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. When this card is summoned, you can add "Plant Poison - Muscarine" from your Deck to your hand.

 

Poison Plant - Hemlock

DARK Level 4 [Plant / Effect]

ATK 0 DEF 1800

You can Normal Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. When this card is summoned, you can add "Plant Poison - Coniine" from your Deck to your hand.

 

Poison Plant - Monkshood

DARK Level 3 [Plant / Effect]

ATK 0 DEF 1850

You can Normal Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. When this card is summoned, you can add "Plant Poison - Aconitine" from your Deck to your hand.

 

Poison Plant - Strychnine Tree

DARK Level 6 [Plant / Effect]

ATK 0 DEF 3000

You can Normal Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. When this card is summoned, you can add "Plant Poison - Strychnine" from your Deck to your hand.

 

Plant Poison - Aconitine

Normal Spell

Inflict 800 damage to your opponent. If this card is in your Graveyard and you control "Poison Plant - Monkshood", you can add it to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase.

 

Plant Poison - Atropine

Normal Spell

Target face-up monster your opponent controls loses 500 DEF. During each of its controller's Standby Phases, it loses 500 DEF. Destroy it if its DEF becomes 0 by this effect. If this card is in your Graveyard and you control "Deadly Nightshade", you can add it to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase.

 

Plant Poison - Coniine

Normal Spell

Destroy 1 face-up non Machine-type monster your opponent controls. If this card is in your Graveyard and you control "Poison Plant - Hemlock", you can add it to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase.

 

Plant Poison - Hyoscyamine

Normal Spell

Target face-up monster your opponent controls loses 500 ATK. During each of its controller's Standby Phases, it loses 500 ATK. Destroy it if its ATK becomes 0 by this effect. If this card is in your Graveyard and you control "Deadly Nightshade", you can add it to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase.

 

Plant Poison - Muscarine

Normal Spell

Your opponent discards a card. If this card is in your Graveyard and you control "Poison Plant - Fly Agaric", you can add it to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase.

 

Plant Poison - Solanine

Normal Spell

Destroy a Spell or Trap card your opponent controls. If this card is in your Graveyard and you control "Poison Plant - Bittersweet", you can add it to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase.

 

Plant Poison - Strychnine

Normal Spell

Change the Battle Position of a face-up monster your opponent controls. If this card is in your Graveyard and you control "Poison Plant - Strychnine Tree", you can add it to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase.

 

Poison Rainforest

Field Spell

During your Standby Phase, if a "Plant Poison" Normal Spell is in your Graveyard and you control the "Poison Plant" written in its card text, you can add that "Plant Poison" Normal Spell from your Graveyard to your hand. You can only add 1 card from your Graveyard to your hand for each "Poison Plant" monster you control during each Standby Phase.

 

Complete Poison Extraction

Normal Spell

Tribute a "Poison Plant" monster you control. Add to your hand, from your Deck and Graveyard, all "Plant Poison" cards that have their name in the card text of the Tributed monster.

 

Poison Rebirth

Normal Spell

Special Summon a "Poison Plant" from your Graveyard in Defense Position.

 

Complete Desertification

Normal Trap

Send a "Poison Rainforest" you control to the Graveyard. Destroy all Plant-type monsters you control and all cards your opponent controls.

 

Please comment or suggest poisonous plants, their alkaloids, and what they should do.

Though the EBG's effect is a little...puny. 200? We have a 1200 damager that skips opponent's battle phases. Dark Eradicator Warlock deals 1000 damage (though' date=' admittedly it's for Normal Spell Cards only, but my point remains valid). Up the damage count a bit, I say. maybe 1500 per Spell?

Maybe 400, but you also have to remember that every turn I can get up to 4 Spells back from the graveyard. Even if you had just 3 poison plants in play, if one of them is Monkshood, I inflict 2000 damage to my opponent if I change the damage to 400 per Spell. With 1500 per spell, I could kill the opponent in the turn I summon it. I figure I can change it to 400 safely though. You also have to remember that EICC couldn't attack if it used its damage ability and that Dark Eradicator Warlock has a summoning condition, so they can afford to have high-powered burn.

 

EDIT: Changed the damage to 400 damage per Spell.

 

What the hell? You turned Aki Izayoi into a Dark Signer?

I have the idea that Akiza would be really awesome as a Dark Signer, especially with both Dark Signer powers and Psychic powers.

Fair enough. I was considering it outside of the Archetype, though. While admittedly the effect works with your plants (that work well already, might I say), outside of that, it's outclassed by other and better effects. In other words, the EBG couldn't be used in many other Decks (I could see it in Endymion, that's about it.)

Most of them cannot. I can only see Wiraqocha Rasca, Chacu Challhua and Aslla Piscu functioning outside an EBG Deck, and even then it's not likely to work.
