Text is hard to see.

Why is the white line all messed up?

Like I said, a lot of thanks to -.- for help with finding tuts. I was really at a loss with GIMP, so that really helped me out.

- Only 1 c4d.

- If you aren't looking, everything is hard to see.

- Because it fit the tag.

I like it. Pretty good. I don't like the white line it's kinda choppy and ruins text.

It helps add depth, and makes the tag more interesting than it is without it. Trust me, I tried with and without the line, it is better with it.

I duplicated it once though, and flipped it. It's the same c4d, but there is one above the render and one behind the render.

I don't like the idea of making the right line choppy like that. Would've been better if you just kept the same design as the left part of the right line, and the left line. Kills the pattern if you do two different things.

 

Text need's to be a different colour. You blocked the view on two parts of it.

 

The small border on the text needs a second one. Having only one looks like a mistake. Rule of Patterns.

 

Kind of skeptic on the whole instant light and dark change in the background, but I guess it was there on purpose.

I will smooth out the line, change the text color, and fix the lighting.

But I disagree on the line under the text looking like a mistake. It's an underline, it doesn't contrast with the text, and the composition looks better with the line than without.

Not the underline. I meant the |- on the top-left of the text.

That isn't part of the text, it's not even meant as a text effect, it's clipping mask that I didn't smudge all the way. There is actually another one on the left and slightly behind the render.

That's why it's a mistake >>... You don't see the second one, so it can't be considered a pattern yet.

I don't see why it's a problem, it fits with the blocky and choppy line effects below the text, it doesn't contrast with the rest of the composition, and it's not distracting.

It's because it's light and dark. It sticks out from Gin's white-ness.

 

And making the text black made it even harder to see. Try a grey, but slightly lighter. Just enough to stick out from the black in the background, but not enough to become part of Gin.
