It says I need to connect to the internet before I start installing, but I am already connected to the internet...

 

Also, I cannot use the update for vista to install it due to an error, and I cannot access the messenger download page because firefox "cannot load this page", and neither can internet explorer...

Vista sucks...

 

Try re-downloading FireFox. If not, then I'm not sure what could be the problem. Google things to help you fix it.
