Captain Lawless
LS are one of the top decks right now, but some of the good sh** will cost you.JD, Charges, Solars, Solemns (need unless you got them) and the good LS like Wulf, Celestia (prob 1), Luminas, Lylas (1 or 2), mibbe Ehren? It will take money. They're one of the reasons I quit TCG...

Kale
LSs is the Worst Idea Konami has have since they created YUGIOH! [/sarcasm] you best be trollin'.. LS is boss, but it cost money. ;) i have a great start, but I'm still needing $100s of dollars before I could make a decent build. If you have the cards, do it. If you have the money, buy the cards then see the above. If you have a job, then get money and see above. That's all I have to say.. :D

Flame Dragon
Really, the put that much money into a card game is sad. Black Wings and GB are both solid deck types and both are really good. Use one of them if you want LS just hurts the pocket to much.

OnSlaUghT
The real shet about LS is that most of the big guys are super rare or ultra. Instead use Glads they are really cheap, most of them are common or Rare and the fusions are supers, the only one where you will get trouble to get is Retiari. Static
Synchro cat costs less and wins moar. Synchro cat uses an interesting method of winning, LS is dull crap. LS has judgment dragon and celestia, you have an entire extra deck. Cat was creative when it was first created, LS was built to win. ITT: Build Synchro cat if you want to go places. And don't run Solemns in either, depending on whichever you go for. Also, Necro Gardnas are worthless. Honest: $50 (I've seen playsets selling for $140) and I saw a ghost go for $45 on a bid once.Charge: $55-65JD: $100 If Lylas and Celestias are actually more than $10 ea I'm gonna cry. iAmNateXero
dont buy ls for reasons outside of topping a regional. ls has proven time and time again that it can not win major tournaments.
Tickle Me Emo
Lightsworns are good but right now I think Kitty Synchro or Blackwings are the top dogs, and Im pretty sure Kitty is cheap, and Blackwings are cheap.
