Lemniscate
Well, I just added a new font to my computer, and decided to see how it handles in GIMP. It was advertised as being meant for logo creation, and marketing, so I decided to make a fake promotional logo for a design group based off of my tag name. Note: "Res Design" does not exist. Do not ask what it is. CnC, but it's really just some word art, testing out a new font, so I'm not taking editing this that seriously.
GHawk
Pretty cool. I can't CnC text but I why is the r & s connected?
Lemniscate
Just a little styling thing, as logo's often have some sort of twist that moves them away from the typographical norm. I felt it made sense for the logo.
GHawk
Nothing wrong, I personally think its cool. I just wanted to know.
Lemniscate
Yep, I'm glad you like it. I've always enjoyed typography, but I don't do it that much.

koramore
I like mixing up my text with different types of them. I like the style of the connecting font. Did you connect that your self or did the font come like that?
Lemniscate
I connected it myself, just make each letter a different layer, organize them in the way you want them, and then connect the two outer layers (the "r" and the "s") by moving them closer to each other. By putting the "e" layer between the two others, it allows you to give the illusions of depth to the composition, which would otherwise be flat (as is the nature of text). Enma Ai
Nice... What is the name of the font?
Lemniscate
It is called "evolution". I can give you the link if you want it.
coolmoo
The blue E that covers S make's it look like a G, but other than that, =)
Lemniscate
Why would someone think it's a "G"? The rest of the letters are lowercase, would they think that one letter would randomly be uppercase, and be the same size as the other letters. I think it is pretty clearly an "s". Glad you like it though.
Enma Ai
Okay, can you pm me the link please?
LiAM
I want this font. It's for GIMP so PM me. Danke (:
Lemniscate
GIMP doesn't have fonts for itself, it just uses any fonts uploaded to the computer, and sure, I'll PM the link to you.
bury the year
I like the font, but the logo is too overlayed. Needs some space in between the letters, IMHO.
Lemniscate
That was purposeful, as part of the style of the logo. Thanks for the thoughts though.

Lemniscate
No, I just don't like people saying something without much of a logical basis for it. I figure if someone is going to critique something, they might as well be correct while doing it.Sorry if I offended you.

It's just, I've seen awkward caps in a lot of art work, so yea... =)
Lemniscate
I try to keep my lowercase and capitals grammatically correct. I am a bit of a grammar and punctuation nut.
