You have always been sort of a social outcast, living your life, doing your own thing, and having an imaginary friend named Deus ex Machina. One day, however, you learned that Deus wasn't just imaginary, and was in-fact the God of space and time. After a while, he challenged you to a survival game. The winner of the survival game will become the next Deus Ex Machina. In order to win the game, the contestants must use their diaries to eliminate one another.

 

[spoiler=Understanding the concept of diaries]Each player is assigned a number based on the order that Deus modified his or her diary. The diaries now record the future in the same manner their future selves would have written down events that have already happened; the only exception to this rule is when the holder reaches a "Dead End", a time when their lives would be finished without significant intervention. Each diary varies in properties and functions depending on the holder's personality, occupation and lifestyle. All the diaries have their shortcomings, some more so than others, and can be used without the diary owner's consent should they fall into another's hands. Because the diaries are written from the perspective of the holder's future self, the future can still be misinterpreted and the diary entries can then turn out to be inaccurate. Each of the diaries have become the diary holder's future, so if the diary itself is destroyed or broken, so too is the holder's future.

Appearance: He sports black, shoulder length hair and red eyes. Normal attire is a black undershirt with a black vest. The pockets on the vest are red. He wears tennis shoes and blue shorts.

Personality: A mostly introverted and shy individual, Zarkus has always had trouble making friends. However, the friend's he's made have usually been lifelong. Not outgoing, and rather lazy. He never really wants anything.

Diary name, power, and appearance: Name: Universal Introspection. Power: Shows Zarkus any interactions made between any two objects or people of his choosing for the next 5 minutes. Appearance: Cell Phone (?)

Personality: He is laid back, but intelligent. He can use his intelligence when he wants to, but that isn't often. He loves to play Chess, which is when his diary really comes in handy. He once met a grandmaster and downloaded his mind, so whenever he is stuck in a game, he will tap into his mind to make a perfect move.

Diary Power, name, and appearance: Appearence: PDA. Name: Archtype Power: I can basically gain the mind ((through updates on it.)) of the person. Like, I know what another person would do if faced with a situation I am in. Also, I must write their name in my diary for it to take effect

Appearance: Light brown spiky hair and puple eyes. He wears headphones usualy that are connected to his Palm.. He wears wight T-Shirt with black buttons and black jeens. He wears wight sneakers

Personality: Zeke has no friends and is very shy and Timid. He's like that because his parents died when he was 3. He's ignored but because he has no distractions, he does great in school. His athletic abilatys are mild but he has a high I.Q. He's normaly on his palm because of its easy access internet sevise and easy to store data.

Diary Power, name, and appearance: Its in the form of a Black Palm Pilot. Its name is Image Palm. The Palm projects areas were abnormal things happen. He can see what other people will do and are intending on doing so that he can stop them. He can see whats happening threw other people eyes.

He looked and saw two teanagers, around 18 beating up a trash can with bats. They turned to him and dropped there bats. They started walking tward him, then running. Zeke burst into running. he hid in a dumpester and whatched as the teens ran by.

Appearance: Chris has short, dark blonde hair and lightish brown eyes that are in an almost perpetual glare. He typically wears dark blue or black loose fitting clothing and has some form of music going at almost every waking moment

Personality: Chris doesn't seem to get along well with anyone unless it serves his own self interests. Any and all acts of so-called altruism by him are invariably only serving his ulterior motives. Plain and simple he's just a cold calculating bastard.

Name: Samuel Vern

Gender: Male

Age: 14

Appearance: Middle lengthed ginger hair. Some ends in curls but others bunch together and form spikes. He can ussualy be found wearing a green T-shirt with a picture of an anime character on it and black trousers.

Personality: In situations of danger he'll get annoyed or depressed. Sam is very jumpy, jumping when ever someone starts speaking suddenly after a long silence or when something falls and breaks.

Diary Power, name, and appearance: His diary takes on the apperance of an iPhone. It's name is Call me from Later or Cal for short. It's power is to pick up any message or action performed in the surrounding area of one mile.

Number: The Eigth.

Alliances: Samuel will form an allicance with anyone he thinks is trustworthy. If this person does something he finds un-trustworthy or bad, he will immediately cut the alliance.

RP sample: As the rain beat down from the sky, Samuel dashed along the street. Puddles splashed upwards as his feet entered them, his trousers growing darker and darker as more water hit against them. Finnaly reaching his block of flats, he ran up the stairs to get to his door. Opening it then slamming it shut, he flopped down into a chair. Quickly turning on his phone, he called up his friend to tell her he had gotten home safely.

Name: Mirielle DeLaFontaine

Gender: Female

Age: 20

Appearance: Long brown hair, straightened and held back in a ponytail. Blue eyes, slightly-tanned skin. Slender build, but somewhat bony, without much bulk to it. Usually wears a tight white T-shirt and jeans with black sneakers. Doesn't put too much of a priority on her appearance.

Personality: "Miri", as she likes to be called by close friends, is rather skittish and hard to get a hold on. A traveling photographer, she doesn't like to stick around in one place for too long, preferring to go around to different locals and take pictures of the landscape. However, she's deeply insecure about other people, and uses her frequent moving as an excuse. She's also very good at manipulating emotions and spite to turn her enemies against her. Therefore, Miri's the perfect player in the game by Deus Ex: willing to sacrifice others to win.

Name - Visual Record

Appearance - A small digital camera, silver in color, with a large LCD screen on it.

Powers - The Visual Record takes pictures of the future, and transmits them to Miri whenever she snaps a picture. These pics appear randomly in replacement of a normal scene, but have no other information attached to them, except for a timestamp. This means that Miri has to determine just where and what the image is of, and use that to her advantage. However, this means that she can get much more detail from one entry than other players. The Dead Ends on the camera are random, but always take the form of a sign with the normal words written over with "Dead End".

RP sample: Continuing his rather leisurely stroll down the hallway, Kaname was quite unperturbed by his previous interaction with the young blue-haired girl. He had no doubt in his mind that the girl was the possessor of a mark, just because of her mannerisms and behavior when he confronted her. If he was wrong, which he knew he wasn't, he'd find out later anyways. However, there was something else that stole his attention.

 

Resonating from the nearby gymnasium were sounds that sounded remarkably like moans of pain and distress. Quickening his pace ever so slightly, Kaname changed his path towards the source of the sounds. If everything went well, he'd be able to help out and possibly increase his public image. That was always good.

 

 

[spoiler= The Twelfth - Morita Hatsuharu (The Omega)]

Name: Morita Hatsuharu

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Appearance: Morita has short black hair reaching to his cheeks, forming into an upward position. His physical appearance is not much, just like your everyday normal 19 year old. Having a right bloodshot eye red eye glaring, and his left eye covered by bandages. Morita can be found wearing a white T-shirt, and a brown fur coat on him. Black pants, and brown sneakers are also what he normally wears.

Personality:

Morita is the kind of person who has a kind of split personality, both of which argues over reach other, which confuses and makes him as a 'two-headed man'. One personality of his is the calm, carefree, and blank kind. The other would be a cruel and harsh personality, topping it off with the lust of power and hunger to kill. Although he has two other personalities, Morita may be the one in control of his feelings, much like the first personality, he doesn't care much about anything.

Diary Power; The Lucky Diary allows Morita to be able to see whenever something bad may happen to him, and can allow him to change the bad luck. Having the Lucky Diary is good for Morita, mostly because he can use it in battles, able to see others moves (Much like a future seeing diary) and dodge it, having the title as 'lucky'. The Lucky Diary, which sounds like a Future-seeing Diary, has a difference. Explained before, the Lucky Diary explains anything bad that happens to him. If someone were to be killed, and that person was Morita's friend or relative, he would not have the power to know it would happen.

Morita opened his eyes, as the sun's bright light began to shine through the window. He got up from the bed, rubbing his eyelids. As he finished doing so, he walked into the bathroom of his house (Which was right next to his room). He looked around, it was a normal small sized bathroom, your regular toilet, and bathtub. He looked down at the blue ocean tiles beneath his feet, and walked to the sink. He looked at the mirror, and stared at his face. Blank. That was what it looked like. He sighed, and began to prepare himself for another day.

Deus Ex Machina

The god of time and space, Deus Ex Machina is your supposed imaginary friend and the mastermind behind the game. He is looking for a successor, which is why he gave future diaries to twelve candidates and placed them in a game of life and death.

Muru Muru

Deus's servant, Muru Muru is often seen with the eliminated candidates in omake panels. She has a rather playful and nonchalant attitude toward Deus despite his warnings to her.

Zarkus has been fiddling around with his cellphone more then usual lately. Unknown to him, however, it's power has not yet activated.

"Deus... do you have any idea what's going on? My diary has been saying weird things about people..."

Deus simply looked at him, and didn't say anything.

"Hmph. Some help you are."

Zeke took a seet at a park bench, looking at Deus. "Whats wrong, you look odd Deus." No reply. "Whatever." Zeke took a look at his palm and the diary looked odd.

Kent was on his computer, just surfing the web. He went on a video site and saw himself thinking exacly like the person in the video and predicted every second of it. He asked Deus what happened.

Deus looked at both of the people individually, and said the exact same thing.

"All will be revealed shortly..."

Chris was just arriving at his apartment after his last class "Deus, what's going on" he asked "My mind's going into overdrive, well more so than usual. It's like I can see what's about to happen, like after physics, as soon as I walked outside, I could tell we were within 10 seconds of a rainstorm, then 8 seconds later, guess what happened"
