Thunder King vs Barbaros in Skill Drain

Thunder King can still stop Special Summons even while skill Drain is up. If u don't have a Skill Drain in ur hand or face down u can still use it to force GB's and Black Wings to play around him or even waist a Smash/Summon/Vortex to get rid of him. With Forbidden Chalice he becomes 2300! omg.

Beast King is lolATK with Skill Drain. With out skill drain up u could -2 ur self to nuke ur opponents field or else he is just a 1900 beat stick. Regardless no one attacks him if u summon him without skill drain up because of the fear of Skill drain or Chalice being face down.

So which is better. Think more of Skill Drain DAD than just pure skill drain.

My friend did that to me. It really surprised me since he only added Chalice as a joke and I didn't think he would be able to think of something so logical.

On Topic: It's hard to say. Both a really help and really important in skill drain. I'm going to give this to Thunder King since he can screw your opponent over more.

Thank God I thought I was gonna be even more of a noob than Flame and Crab are making me seem to be, but I was gonna say Rai-Oh as it says "funk you and your Stardust Dragon and your ability around Skill Drain" (just one example)

However personally I would possibly say Barbaros and just play Oppression. I dunno how Oppression would work in Skill Drain DAD.

i made a deck around barbaros on his 3 tribute effect

thats just terrible

Not really it's the same as a plasma deck but more versatile because of skill drain combos.

Close but its much slower because you have to protect your tokens so you can tribute them next turn. I tried running Plasma Babaros, but Babaros just ended up being trade in food or a 1900 beat stick most of the time because of him being a Tribute summon and not a special summon.

Scapegoat is Plasma's special friend. Barbaros doesn't have that kind of friends for his Tribute effect. And even if Plasma wasn't a special summon, he could still use Fires of Doomsday tokens, which Barbaros for being EARTH cannot.

On-topic: I prefer Barbaros for ATK.

Tributing 3 monsters = -2 yourself?

Also, just call it 'Tributing 3 monsters', because the (dis)advantage that it would create depends on your opponent's field.

Barbaros should be at 3 in Skill Drain DAD but Rai-Oh is a personal preference.

I personally would run it. It's a 1900 beatstick that prevents your opponent from Synchro Summoning and also gives you the opportunity to run Chaos Sorcerer.

It works like this:

You have 3 monsters out' date=' right? The 1st Released monster is replaced with Barbaros, and the other 2 Released monsters are just sent to the Graveyard. So there you go, you -2'd yourself.

Also, just call it 'Tributing 3 monsters', because the (dis)advantage that it would create depends on your opponent's field.

The opponent would have to have a minimum of 3 cards on his/her field, for Barbaros' effect to be at least a +1
