Flash Flyer - Sakura
Really thanks, this is probably the 1st PERFECT one I made. (Probably not BR quality, but it's nice :D)
CrazyKev
Very choppy. Background remains in surrounding itAnd spaces of BG beetween arms
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I see the one under the left arm. Yeah it was really hard to see. I notice the small traces, but this was a pretty hard render too, and at least I got rid of MOST of the BG.
Yondaime
K. 1. Find some more HQ images2. Don't render the ora.3. How long did this take you?
Flash Flyer - Sakura
About 15-20 minutes for around the image, plus another 2-3 minutes for the inside.
Yondaime
Hmm. When I get back to my house on Wednesday I want you to pm me a render that you are going to do and I will also do it. I want you to see the difference in our renders.

JG.
It's occaisioanlly hard finding a good PTD image, but that render is not good. Look at BR or me renders,a nd try again.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Well I found a 300x300 image of PTD on Photobucket that was HQ'ed. Then I used the same steps I've used for other renders. How can this render be improved though, other than get rid of the rest of the background? JG.
If it was HQ'ed, how come it's so terrible LQ now?
Hobbes96
wow. really choppy and low quality.
Yasu
Zoom tool, use it.
Cin
Cut to the black not off to the side. You need to master removing as much possible background, otherwise your renders will always be bad, try adding a black layer underneath to see what you've missed (of course turn off/delete/hide the black layer before saving)
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Zoom tool' date=' use it.[/quote'] I used it, but only at
Cin
You need to zoom in alot more, you'll find the more you zoom in the better the quality cut you get.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Actually I used 200% to cut around the pic and a higher zoom (400) for getting on the inside and getting rid of background.
Cin
400 is not nearly close enough. What is the max zoom on GIMP?
Flash Flyer - Sakura
1600% is the highest it will go.
Cin
Well stick alot closer to that, at the zoom you can see minute little changes in direction alot closer than zoomed out.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I'll try 800 for now, but probably 1600 will be better.
Sparta™
Actually, 800 is what I use for GIMP.
