I think the Tenkaichi series is the best of all the DBZ games. Budokais were cool, but Tenkaichi brought the free-movement concept

budokai was more hardcore, tenkaichi was more like casual gamer

Budokai 1 was alright. Not much of a variety.

Budokai 2 added the board-game story-mode thing, which was pretty cool. But it got boring after a while. And the graphics actually got worse.

Budokai 3 was the final budokai b4 tenkaichi 1 and it was amazing it had a map thing and all the storys were long, it had many characters, and super saiyan 4s
