Activate only while you control a Spellcaster-Type monster. Tribute 1 monster and Special Summon 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your hand. Then, you can destroy 1 monster on the field.

Is it just me, or is this incredibly useful in any Spellcaster deck?

You don't even have to tribute the Spellcaster you control, it can be any other monster on your field. Then you can destroy 1 monster on the field. It's also a quickplay, and it has no restrictions on what Spellcasters you can Special Summon.

No matter how you slice it' date=' it's a -1. It can be useful, but probably shouldn't be put at more than 1 in a Spellcaster deck.

How is it a -1?

-2 for:

MD, your tribute

+1 for:

your summon

opponent -1

So it's a -1 that lets you destroy any monster on your opponent's side of the field, and the -1 is a practically unrestricted special summon.

You play the card (-1)

You Tribute the monster (-1)

You destroy a monster (+1)

You Special Summon a monster (+1)

-2 + 2 = 0

No. Special summoning a monster from the hand is not a +1. You don't gain any cards >.>

Anyways Foolish is a -1 too, but can you say that it's bad?

And what do we have to discuss here?

This should be used in Spellcasters

Foolish is a -1 too' date=' but can you say that it's bad?

[/quote']

Foolish is only good because you can gain advantage out of the card you send. If you activate Foolish and send, say, Neos Wiseman, it's a bad -1.

Special Summon can be +0' date=' +1, or +2 depending on how many tributes would otherwise be required for it.

Wrong. Special Summoning a monster from your hand is always a +0.

Sorry didn't read cliff's post above that, but just because this is a -1 doesn't mean you should only ever run 1.

ITT: person A makes a correct statement. Person B then thinks it's wrong for some reason and tries to correct it while actually ruining it. Person C then tries to correct it, but ruins it even more. Person D then fixes it and explains what was the problem, and everyone is happy. Person E then hops in and ruins itself to prove that this place is hopeless. lolYCM

The fact that it's a -2 to your hand is reason enough.

Infernity Spellcasters anyone?

None of the Infernities are spellcaster. They're all fiends' date=' except for one Warrior. You might as well just run spellcasters instead.[/s'] Lol, Infernity.

yeah, the quick play thing does help the card, and the summon can also get around problem spells and traps, effectively making this a 0 if you play it right.

it is fun to switch out my monster when they attempt to fissure or mind control it, I replace it, and then kill one of their monsters.

it is annoying for them.

and you can tribute any monster, not just spellcasters, so tokens are great for this.

B0b3rt and Star fail at math >.>

Activate Magical Dimension (+0)

Tribute a monster (-1)

Special Summon a monster (+0)

Destroy a monster (+1)

Magical Dimension is sent to the Graveyard (-1)

0-1+0+1-1 = -1

I wasn't looking at it from a Hand Advantage Perspective. My bad.
