Select 1 Spell Card from your opponent's Graveyard and activate it from the Graveyard as your Spell Card.
free2rhyme
the reason this happened in the movie is because there is a secret effect in double spell, just like the secret effects for the god cards
TotalObelisk
Really? How'd you know that, or are you making it up (accusing glare)
yugiohmasta 444
no i did some research too, cant remember where i found it though, some random yugioh forum, it does have a secret effect.
Danilus
Secret effect? there is no secret effect with Double Spell, and if there is the Wiki would have said so. The only cards that have special effects that are not written on the cards are the God cards. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Double_Spell

Shaco
Also on the note of yugioh screwing up on shows. In GX When Jaden dueled the Gravekeeper. When he delivered the final blow it gave a shot of the Gravekeeper's duel disk. And on that disk was the "Dark Magician of Chaos" I was pretty confused about it, if you can go on youtube or something, I don't know what episode it was but look for it. TotalObelisk
Now that was 4kids screwing up, like when Anzu was magician of faith in a shadow game, when her effect activated her card looked just like Dark magician in the 4kids version. i once made a super duper draw and i swear it was the heart of the cards loli swear i put the card at the bottam of my deck. the card that saved me...was..THE DARK MAGICIAN! Happened to me too, I was dueling my brother and I was using an E-Hero Deck. Basically I needed one card to win and guess what happened when I drew, spark blaster was my next card and I had sparkman on the field. I can't remember what happened next but I did use spark blaster to win, I think I used it on his summoned skull and equiped sparkman with H-heated heart of something, I can't remember. Shaco
Well you might have heard this before, but once I was dueling an extremely powerful opponent with a Vehicroid deck; I didn't have the deck, he did. And he got out Jumbo Drill by combining the fusion materials with Connection zone, so it couldn't be destroyed at all. and I didn't have anything to stop it in my hand. So I drew... KURIBOH?!? how was that supposed to help right, the only good it could do was stop the damage for 1 turn... but then I got a better look at my hand... Creature Swap!! . So I summoned up that little fluff ball in attack position, my opponent laughed at, he figured I'd given up hope and just wanted to end the duel myself, BUT NO!!! I threw down that Creature Swap, whipping the smile off his face. and a few turns later I won!!!!! HORRAY FOR THE HEART OF THE CARDS!!

Sander
Hearth of the cards, that helped me once in BYOND, my opponent had Swords of reveling light and united we stand on the field, when my draw phase was coming, I wished for mystical space typhoon and guess what, I drew it
TotalObelisk
Those are the sort of expieriences that you like to rub in peoples faces ^_^, I certainly rubbed it in my brother's face, even then he still didn't believe it.

HOW DARE YOU!!!! THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST DUELISTS I'VE EVER FACED!!! And for that I expect him to receive the respect he deserves, his deck was utter brilliance, the only way I could beat him was by pure luck! Although usually Vehicroids are not very powerful as a set, but as a gateway to bring out one of the most unbeatable monsters in the game, they are truly brilliant! He only used 3 Vehicroids, only the 3 components to bring out Jumbo Drill, and with Vehicroid connection zone fusing them, the Jumbo drill became an unstoppable destructive force that would make any duelist tremble!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Slime Lord
at the end of the movie, yugi drops all of his cards (cant remember how, i havent seen the movie in a while) and i could have sworn i saw to ras come out of his deck.
