Marcus ripped the sword out of his chest. "Alder Kings have to be drained of life force to die."

 

"And life force is carried by blood. That is why Alder Kigns heal so quickly," Jared finished.

 

Marcus reached his hands behind him and slammed Jared into the back of his head. Jared coughed up a lot of blood. "I would say Jared has an hour."

Leon regained controlled. "I know...he's too old to fight. But there are 2 people who can," Leon said as he holds the Soulblade and Masamune at the ready.

Marcus quickly moved kicking the Soulblade and Masamune. "Fool," he said, catching Masamune in his teeth and Soulblade in his right hand. He slashed at Leon, breaking his skin.

Leon licked the blood off his face "Look who's talking?" his eyes turned green. his voice became cold. He pushed Masamune across Marcus's face and pulled the Soulblade free, slicing Marcus in half. Marcus is now in 3 pieces.

Somehow, Marcus's body flexed like rubber wire, connecting and rewiring itself until it was one body again. He was wearing a black stone on his necklace with a word engraved on it. saisei

That stone...that must be what makes Marcus invincible. But just because he can't be killed the old way, doesn't mean he can't get tired. And I know that stone takes a lot of energy to help him regenerate, Leon thought.

(Natalie turned back into her true form and when she saw the perfect chance she flew over a ripped the stone off the necklace)

Asuka dashed and grabbed the stone from the air to make sure Marcus didn't get it

Marcus grabbed Asuka's wrist until it snapped broken. "Heh."

 

Marcus grabbed the stone before it hit the stone, fixing it back onto the necklace. "This is no longer fun, Jared, Byron."

 

Marcus disappeared from Jared's grip. In his place, a small note.

Jared turned to Britney, Raphael, Natalie, Byron, and Leon, who had pretty much healed. "Go back to camp, Asuka and I need to heal for a while."

Jared walked over to a tree, absorbing a little life force from it. "Oh, and Britney, I forgot to ask you this earlier, but have you tried absorbing life force from anything? I had a feeling that the life force I injected into you was still lingering."

 

"By the way, Raphael, isn't a Charon almost the same thing as an Alder King, but it descends from a mixed breed between a Banshee and an Alder King. So you could take souls, and life force?"
