CarlinFan
http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Kakashi_Hatake Obito, being around the same age as Kakashi, would be just under 30 if he were still alive. Kakashi was 13 in the 3rd Great war, and Naruto is 15 or 16 now, so at most one year could've passed between Kakashi Gaiden and Naruto's birth. Phantom Roxas
Doesn't mean his skin couldn't rot or whatever. We never even were suggesting that he was the one behind the mask. The Tobito theory is dead, accept it. He meant IF Obito was somehow miraculously was revived by the plot. No, he was saying that if he was still alive. Not revived, just never killed. PrimalFear
I think it's funny that everyone thinks just because Obito was crushed by a rock that he could not be alive for the incident with Kushina, Minato and Naruto. If we learned anything about Naruto people can be revived, in this instance it could be Madara using the summoning of impure world tech or someone else to bring Obito back to life. Everything is a possibility but I will stick with Madara's younger brother to be the masked asailent because it makes the most logical sense other then it being Madara. By the way RHStanley, Madara did not kill his brother, only took his eye's and it was a willing sacrafice. If I reamember correctly no one mentioned that he acctually died. Further more like I said above even if he is dead he could have been resummoned via the impure world ressurection tech.
CarlinFan
I, on the other hand, think it's funny how all the people who think Obito's still alive ignore this: http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/244/10/ Also, Madara didn't kill his brother, that's true. He died on the battlefield. Whether or not he consented to Madara taking his eyes is a matter of who you ask.
PrimalFear
Well I agree with you Carlin, he can't still be alive, but he could have been summoned as I stated. As for Madara's brother just because it says he is dead doesn't mean he acctually is. Or once again he could have been summoned.
CarlinFan
It's been stated that Izuna "died honorably on the battlefield". http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Izuna#Background Also, while it's possible that Obito could have been revived, why go to the trouble of reviving a 13-year-old ninja who barely knows how to use his Sharingan when there are many preferable Shinobi to revive? rhstanley3
yes, thanks carlinfan for that page. Also, thanks primal fear for correcting my memory, I wasn't sure if madara had killed his brother or not. I think that most likely madara doesn't use the summoning of the dead, like kabuto or orochimaru. i think it's more likely that madara is behind the mask, and kabuto threatened madara with the body of his dead brother, and madara would hate more than anything to have to fight his brother. That's what I think. Only time will tell... just wondering, why is it that whenever people mention my name they always capitalize it randomly? Monkey
Jesus guys, it's just a damn theory. Who cares if the manga shows Obito underneath rocks, it could be a possibility that Obito somehow survived. There was never a scene in the manga that shows Obito's corpse. Tobi could have been watching the battle where Obito dies. After the battle, Tobi could easily drop down, use some technique to move the rocks, and revive Obito. The body is still in a state of living for a few minutes after death. The heart is in a state where I can start beating again. The brain is nearly dead but can still function At least Roxas understands my viewpoint
CarlinFan
I don't think it's Obito's body. I mean, it could be, but why would Madara possess him? It can't be that difficult to find an Uchiha out on a mission, use Madara's powers to lure him away, and possess his not-severely-damaged body. Phantom Roxas
I don't think it's Obito's body either. Monkey just wondered how would Obito would be if he was still alive, but somehow everyone misinterpreted the question. It's likely Madara's body reconstituted with Zetsu's help. Or Palpatobi actually has a series of clones for him to posses.[/crack]

How about a bet, hmm? You go through all of the posts of mine in this thread, and find where I said madara possessed obito. If I didn't, i win. if i win, you give me +1 rep. if I lose, i give you +1 rep and you give me -1 rep for being forgetful. How about it? (i need to get my first rep in some way, hmm?) CarlinFan
He means full-on, Kamino-style physical clones, not chakra constructs that a decent punch can destroy.
Monkey
Aren't ALL clones chakra constructs? I mean, they have chakra in them... Also, I just said Bushin no Jutsu, not Kage Bushin no Jutsu. Bushin no Jutsu could be any type of clone
CarlinFan
Aren't normal Bunshin even more fragile than Kage Bunshin? And any kind of Bunshin jutsu is a chakra construct; it's a replica formed from chakra. What I'm pretty sure Roxas means is an actual genetic clone, likely made by Orochimaru.
