Yeah, that was a bit too fast. At least Minato put on his cloak in a "Let's get dangerous" kind of way. Also, notice how Itachi is the one holding baby Sasuke. That makes it even more likely Mikoto's the one in the mask.

I still the masked person is Mikoto (Sasuke's mom) being controlled by Madara. The fact that Itachi was the one holding Sasuke at the end kind of helps prove that.

Possibly, but what motive does Madara have for using Mikoto? She probably isn't as skilled as we think. Luckily she has unlocked her sharingan. I would think he would manipulate a male rather than a female. Like Shisui, also, how old would Obito be at this time?

why can't the mask man simply be Madara? We were told that jiraya (might have been someone else... i forget...) suspected that it was madara that orchestrated the kyubi attack on the day naruto was born... it could simply be madara, and no one else... Madara is the only person that the kyubi really has had a lot of encounters with...

I don't think it's Mikoto, because Fugaku was the blood Uchiha of the pair. Mikoto was only Uchiha by marriage. Unless Madara can do some sort of possession technique where his Sharingan carries over. Also, the Kyuubi recognized the masked shinobi, and who else would it recognize with a Sharingan but Madara? As to why Itachi was carrying Sasuke instead of Mikoto, perhaps she's still a bit weak from childbirth, or maybe Itachi is just out walking with his new baby brother.

Yeah. Also, Fugaku and Mikoto don't really have to worry about someone kidnapping Sasuke. Itachi fought in the 3rd Great War when he was 5 or 6, and he doesn't have any major scars that we've seen, meaning he made it without any significant injury. BAMF.

They never explicitly state that he actually fought in the war, but I can't see how he could've been traumatized by "seeing lives lost" unless he was in the war, fought, and witnessed death. Yes, he's even more awesome. :D

Well technically it could be any of the Uchiha clan members. This is taking place before the Massacre. So maybe we'll be introduced to a new Uchiha

my point still stands. There's no use in introducing a third (4th counting itachi, huh :/ ) Uchiha. Besides, who else besides Madara is old enough to know information about when the seal weakens. He also says "You have no idea how long I've waited for this" meaning he has a very long life and has obviously been waiting for this opportunity. Also, hole in mask is the same side as Tobi's mask. Yea yea, mask hole doesn't mean anything, w/e. still, the person has been waiting for this chance for a really really long time. *cough* madara *cough*

Entertaining the idea of another uchiha who has the prowess of madara and the age of madara and the reputation of madara (with the kyubi) as well as madara's knowledge of the kyubi and how it's sealed, is as naive as entertaining the idea that Lelouch from code geass is still alive, even though he is clearly dead. If there were another, itachi would have known and would have told sasuke when he told him about madara. Face the music, dude. It's Madara Uchiha.

 

You can go around saying "there's a possibility [of this or that]" all you want; it won't make things happen. You have no evidence to back up your theory (by evidence i mean occurances in the manga that would suggest that there is another uchiha). You're just going off of "well this would be cool/nice"

Highly unlikely, but hey, would throw a wrench in the clockwork. could be *gasp* madara's brother. or anyone else.and it totally could be sage of six paths, as with that particular jutsu, rotting is meaningless. heck, it could even be a giant pickle and madara is deathly alergic O_o
