Now I want to know why he never used this ability in his fight with Gai.

Apparently there's a recharge time necessary between uses, similar to the 5 seconds between Shinra Tensei. It's entirely possible that he couldn't use it. Also, as mentioned, Gai was probably too fast. When you are able to move fast enough to distort space-time, I imagine very few techniques will hit.

What I'm not sure of is how both Naruto and Sasuke were fooled by Rinbo Clone while Madara ran off. Naruto can't see the clone, he can only sense it. Maybe it can be made visible to the naked eye, but that part isn't explained well.

I went back and read it, and here's what I think. Madara and his shadow were in the same spot when he got hit, once he got hit he jumped out of his shadow and left it to take the damage. On the page where he's hit (15 in the mangastream version), in the bottom left you see something going up. Next page you see Invisible!Madara damaged and real Madara flying off to steal Kakashi's eye.

Foolishness? I'd like to correct you that all I was stating is that Kakashi made an error and that Hinata was the shy one.

Yes, and as I just mentioned their sarcasm flew over your head. Also I'd like to point that your comment about Sakura being a b**** hardly contributes the discussion.

It's coolspy. What contribution to the discussion did you expect?

So, on a different note, if Wikipedia is actually right, then the anime (for the few of you who may care) is about done with fillers again and will move back into the actual story.

Except that isn't canon. Thats an alt universe where all the characters' character was given a 180.

It may be an alternate world, but I believe it is still canon, since there was an episode which featured Road to Ninja Sakura in the "real" world. Forgot the details, though... :p

Canon might have been poor word choice. They aren't our character, so in the end their personalities don't matter all that much. It is cool seeing the 180 though.

If anyone has been paying attention to these fillers, then I'll tell you guys that they're the BEST Naruto fillers in the whole anime. It's called the "Kakashi ANBU Arc" and spans the time from shortly after Kakashi has killed Rin to the point where he leaves the ANBU and becomes a Squad Leader. The arc covers pretty much everything that's happened prior to the start of the Naruto series from mostly Kakashi's POV.

It's been expanding upon the background and backstory of various things that happened in the past, including Kakashi's mental torment after what he did to Rin, the end of the Shinobi WW3, Danzo being Danzo, Minato becoming Hokage (and Orochimaru not), the Kyuubi Attack, Yamato, Orochimaru with Danzo, the Uchiha Massacre (w/ Shisui and Itachi :D), more Danzo, a bunch of Tobi appearances, Kakashi being ANBU and then rejecting team after team as a Squad Leader, oh and did I mention Danzo?

Therefore, I'D LIKE TO RECOMMEND THIS ARC FOR ALL YOU MANGA READERS if you have the time (spanning from Ep 349 - 361), since it's not really filler at all, apart from Episodes 353 and 354 which is just useless Yamato filler that you should stay clear of.

The last episode to the arc (361), coming next week, is called "Team 7" and is definitely gonna be filled with nostalgia, a trip down memory line~

And after that, we're returning back to the main plot. According to official sources, after this the Naruto anime won't have anymore filler and keep on going to the very end, so take that as you will.

Yea, speaking of the anime its been ages since I watched it. I was following it up until Madara came in, but than we got tons of filler and gave up and never really went back.  My notes (yes I keep notes to see where I am in the stuff I follow) say my next episode is 322. I know about the Kakashi story, but is there anything else I can just skip? I can get back to that since it does seem interesting, but I'd like to catch up with it first at some point.

No more fillers after this?

I find that hard to believe since I can think of several places where more history filler would go well.

Like, right before or after meeting Hagoromo would be a good place for the history of Hagoromo.

Might Guy's fight with Madara would make for a couple of history filler episodes too, especially since his dad was introduced.

I do agree though that these history filler arcs are the best fillers as they actually make contributions that seem almost as canon as the manga itself.

You may as well start at 322 then and end around 347. That's all canon. After that starts some of the history of Obito where he gets Nagato to join and then it starts Kakashi's Story.

There'll probably still be fillers, just, canon history fillers which you can't really call filler. No more random arcs about a certain clan's mysterious power which Naruto has to somehow inexplicably get involved in and save the day.

Oh, alright. That makes sense then.

I was hoping and kind of suspecting that since it would be an odd derailment from the plot, but it's good to hear it from other people.
