[spoiler=This chapter]

Well. I wasn't expecting the Juubi's final form to be like that. At all. But I'm also strangely happy at the same time, since I really love the concept of tree eldritch abominations, a lot, like, seriously. Incidentally, maybe this is why Wood Release is so powerful, despite how innocent it sounds. Hiruzen finally did something useful (I'm relieved that Kishi hadn't forgotten about him) and the Nidaime finally used a Water Jutsu (also relieved there).

And I loved all that backstory too, even if it's a little bit cliché. It would probably make for a good folktore tale. Fruit made me think of One Piece. Although, learning the Sage of the Six Path's real name kind of takes away some of the mysticalness about him, and am I the only one who thinks 'Hagoromo Ootsutsuki' is a pretty lame name? Makes him sound like some kind of idiot.

Wonder how they're going to deal with the Shinju. How many people will die? Will they still retain their chakra once this is all over and done with? Find out next time on Naruto Shippuden!

...I'm expecting Killer Bee to be absorbed right about now.

......And Sasuke will definitely get one last powerup.

.........Madara mentioned Hashirama's huge chakra again. I really wish Kishimoto would explain this already.

I've always loved how the backstory Madara and Obito revealed felt like folklore, although I don't mind that we now know the name of the Sage of the Six Paths.

Well, if this is truly the Juubi's final form, then I guess I have no reason to hope for Bee to get absorbed so we can see it. I'll admit, it's kind of interesting to consider that the Juubi is really the manifestation of God's rage, although I didn't consider the similarities to Adam and Eve. I did, however, think of One Piece when they talked about how a fruit cursed people. Not to mention this makes perfect sense considering the bulb on the back of the Juubi, and we didn't have much else to go after Kishimoto beat Game Freak to the punch by introducing Mega Venusaur.

With Hashirama's chakra, it could just be that he inherited the majority of it since he was the older brother, although that's a strange way for biology to work, especially since the Senju are descended from Hagoromo's younger son.

I also thought of the Adam and Eve story during this.

Also, didn't the 3rd take a "no recovery ball" to the face? Meh, w/e.

Should be interesting seeing how things for from here.

IIRC, it's not that the black stuff completely disintegrated them, but that it severely hindered the regenerative process. Since Hiruzen still had a lower half, he was able to stay and grow back.

So Minato's arm should come back relatively soon.

All I saw was a giant tree and thought of Z-ONE.

But your guy's reasons are way more thoughtful than mine. @.@

Actually, that's probably way more accurate, although Sephylon's summoning sequence is an allusion to how the Timelords are based on the Sephirot that form the Kabbalah, which also served as the basis for Sakkakumon. However, this does relate back to Adam and Eve, so the God Tree could simply be an amalgamation of the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge. And this is why I think the mythology in this series is so interesting.

I am gravely disappointed by the Juubi's final form... A tree? Really?

Then why didn't the tree bud bloom during the era of the Sage's mother and cast an Infinite Tsuky then?

I literally just pointed out that it's symbolic of the Trees of Life and Knowledge.

It wasn't being used for Infinite Tsukuyomi back then. All it wanted was to kill people to get its chakra back, not put them into an everlasting slumber.

So the tree always has the ability to use Infinite Tsukuyomi? Just nobody knew about it?

Most likely, since Madara did cite that the only reason he knows all this is much of what's written on the Uchiha scripture. I imagine that the text is extremely tiny, and the reason you need different levels of dojutsu is to see whether or not you're "worthy" of learning certain information. Do we even know who designed it and how?

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm sure he would want to prove that his legacy would prove to be greater than his brother's, so he left behind clues for his descendants to use, and since the Sharingan is a trait passed down from him, it's possible that he performed genjutsu on the tablet, and the dojutsu is actually meant to see through it.

I really do want to know how the Hyuuga factor into all of this. I think we all know that both clans are descended from the elder son, just like how the Senju and the Uzumaki clans are descended from the younger son. The Senju and the Uzumaki were apparently on very good terms, but I don't think we've gotten a clear idea of how the Hyuuga and Uchiha view each other.
