"That's an impressive volume of chakra... comparable to mine, in fact!"

I'm pretty sure I've asked this question plenty of times already, but why is Hashirama Senju so frikin' powerful? I mean, even as a Senju, he possesses such things like Mokuton and enormous amounts of chakra - enough to summon up something a hundred times the size of the Kyuubi. And somehow, I don't think Kishi's going to explain it at this point in the story.

I've also wondered this, he may suffer from the Goku Syndrome. It feels like you can double the power of anything in naruto just by adding Hashirama's cells... was it ever confirmed if Mokuton was unique to him, or just "rare" among the senju?

Nope, not at all. It could be something similar to the Mangekyou Sharingan among the Senju, but Kishi hasn't said anything about that. For all we know, it's exclusive to him.

Also, it's bothering me that the Second Hokage hasn't used a single water move since his revival.  Instead, he's busting out space-time techniques equal to or even better than the Fourth's, and it seems like he's the inventor of plenty of unique jutsu completely alien to our world (space-time teleportation, shadow clones, revival of the dead, etc). Now, while that's cool and all, wasn't he famed for his uber water-style jutsu and his ability to create huge torrents out of nowhere with a single handsign? *sigh*

Shadow clones aren't alien to the series at all, Naruto has always used them --since the very first episode, anyway.

That was good stuff, bit of a stretch that the fox cloak didn't completely fade from someone, but whatever.

I think Kishi's trying to flesh out and give Tobirama some redeeming qualities for being indirectly responsible for some of the sh*t that's happened. I don't mind it really, though he should use some Water jutsu before this is all over.

The Wood jutsu was unique to Hashirama, that's why everyone wanted his cells. Because no one else ever had it.

He was just blessed with a very unique gift complete with the vast amounts of chakra common in the Senju and he grew up during a period where he was constantly fighting, got experience, and got really strong.

No, I mean alien to physics.

And Tobirama invented the technique.

Think about it. Wood clones come from wood, water clones come from water, and so on and so forth. But there's little to no indication about what makes a 'shadow clone'.

While it's been dismissed as ninja shenanigans since the very first episode, I'm pretty sure it's no coincidence that the same guy who invented S/T jutsu and Edo Tensei invented this unique clone technique that creates perfect copies of the user with properties unlike any other bunshin no jutsu - indistinguishable from normal humans even with the byakugan and sharingan, able to operate independently from the user seemingly without any distance limitations, even transferring experiences over to the original, etc.

Maybe I'm putting a bit too much thought into it, but it still bugs me.

I don't blame Minato for feeling emotional extremes; he was just resurrected from the dead to fight against the strongest monster in existence alongside his undead predecessors while facing the fact that his son had a hard life while one of his former pupils grew up to be a homicidal maniac all within the span of...an hour or so?

Still handling things relatively well, all things considered.

I agree with Tenta though, the other shinobi need to start helping out. But I have a feeling Shikamaru's about to think of something awesome.

That was awesome! About time Kishi addressed the Fox Sage Mode thing, and boy did he deliver.

I laughed at that part Naruto realized he messed up and their reactions.

But yeah, how in the hell is Sasuke supposed to make up the difference?

I'm thinking when they fight, Naruto won't/can't use Kurama for then, but who knows.

I just don't want to be gipped of a fight between them since I've been waiting on their rematch for years now.
