[spoiler=thoughts]

See my problem with this is that they are making a big deal out of dead people dying and that as soon as they bring back Naruto's Sage form they are like, help, time to give him another power up. And why did it take this long for Minato to remember that he was going to give it to him, since when he ran off to the battle field he said he had a "present".

It's possible that Minato thought he needed to use the power, at least until they'd already taken care of the Fourth Shinobi World War. Then, once it was over, THEN he'd present it to his son.

But after seeing him use his Sage mode, he'll have already realized just how far his son has progressed and so give the other half to him. After all, Naruto's Sage form isn't related to the Kyuubi at all (in fact, it's HARDER being a Jinchuuriki) and up until now Minato has probably assumed that Naruto managed to get as far as he did using only the power of the Kyuubi, up until his assumption is suddenly proven wrong. It only makes sense.

O_O WUT?!

Then why am I just hearing about this now?! xD

But that does make sense then LOL

Yeah, when he was sealing Kurama in Naruto, Minato said he was gonna seal half of Kurama's chakra in himself since if he sealed it all in Naruto it'd kill him. Or something like that.

Did that not bother anybody else?

I just though it was stage two of Obito's Sage mode. You know, Naruto has frog sage thing, Sasuke is probably gonna get dragon sage mode, Obito has panda sage. That makes sense, right?

He probably forgot about it when the whole Jubito thing started up. At least that's what I assume happened.

[spoiler=Anyways, thoughts]

Of course Naruto and Sasuke's combination attack didn't work. I mean, why would anything work the first time you try it.

So that's what those things do. They're just floating Musakani Magatama's.That must mean Obito is a SIx Samurai! It all makes sense.

On a more serious note, that does explain why Minato's been without an arm for a few chapters even though it should have grown back long ago. Oh and Hiruzen is probs dead. Very very dead.

Hehe! Gamakichi showed up! :D I missed that little frog xD

Oh Sage mode works on Obito? Yeah I guess that does make sense. Kinda lame how that's the only thing that works since it means that ONLY Naruto can harm him, and it kinda defeats the purpose of bringing Sasuke back to help now, but it makes sense. Oh, wait! Maybe Sasuke can still use Izanami or Izanagi on him? Nah, I can't see how that'd help. Well hopefully he learned how to do Sage Mode off screen somewhere.

Once again, Madara vs Hashirama? Apparently it's NOT IMPORTANT =_=

Pretty cool chapter... It might sound sound kinda dumb and somewhat random, but what if Sage modes can only touch the SAGE of the six paths. Next thing you know, Sasuke will go into dragon mode and he can miraculously get a hit in. Then sakura would go in-*shot*

What if Rikudou could do all of these sage modes as well? That could be why Sage jutsus are able to touch Obito.

It wouldn't be that big of an asspull. Remember what Kabutomaru said about Juugo?

...I think it was something about Orochimaru's cursed mark operating a bit like senjutsu, so it's possible that Kishi's gonna use that as a way to give Sasuke the power to harm Obito...somehow.

But honestly, it probably would've been better if he just left the cursed mark on standby instead of removing it, since it might've been cool seeing winged-Sasuke taking on Obito .-. oh well. I don't think that's gonna happen again.

Sasuke's Susano'o + Dragon Sage Mode + Curse Mark. I think it'd look pretty badass.

I feel Sasuke is going to use his EMS to find a way to damage Obito rather than use DSM (if he ever gets it)

So Hashirama can hurt Obito as well then...

Watch as all the Hokage pull something out of their ass something similar to Sage Mode

Or they just all have Sage Mode because why the funk not?

In all seriousness, I seem to remember Hiruzen having Sage Mode. I'm probably just imagining it but eh?

And no, Sasuke prolly won't get (at least I hope he doesn't) get Sage Mode and I don't think he'll be using Curse Mark either. No, I think Kishi will just do something along the lines of "Blah blablablah Sharingan blah blablabla blah" and then say Sharingan can hurt Obito somehow too.

I remain hopeful that Sasuke will use Curse Mark, but I don't think it's likely at this point.

These past chapters have been pretty solid overall. I like how Sage Mode's making a comeback; I like Fox Mode and all, but I felt like it overshadowed Sage Mode when I really liked the concept behind Senjutsu. It makes sense too for senjutsu to make a connection, since the Juubi's supposedly a giant life force.

And being able to kill the Edo Tensei zombies is a good twist. I felt like things were too "safe" with the 4 Hokages helping out there. I'm banking on Minato checking out in a few chapters after giving Naruto Kurama's other half to help turn things around somehow.

I don't think Sasuke will get Sage Mode.

...he shouldn't get Sage Mode because it was a very tough thing to acquire for Naruto and Jiraiya. He could contribute by doing combo attacks with Naruto.

Actually, maybe that's the strategy. Everyone teams up with a Sage Naruto clone that will allow their attacks to hit.

And Naruto will be able to handle giving all that chakra when he has both halves of Kurama.

Is it bad that I'm sadistically hoping for a good guy to die at this point? I've been liking the War arc a lot overall, but Neji's the only notable casualty they've suffered. I'm guessing at this point, either Sakura will bite it, or Guy will (we still haven't seen all 8 gates opened).

I could see Guy dying. This is the scenario I'm thinking of:

Naruto needs some time to gather Sage Chakra or something along those lines. Since he is the only person who can use Sage Mode (as of now), the rest of the Alliance is useless against Obito. Then Guy and maybe Lee step in and use all 8 Gates to stall (since he uses taijutsu). Resulting in Guy's death.

But that would mean 2 deaths for Team Guy and no deaths for any other Team.

Well for one thing, I don't want Team 10 to suffer any more casualties after Asuma. But if we really want a sensei to die, my money's on Kakashi. He hasn't escaped the Kamui dimension, and his death could inspire Guy to use the Eighth Gate, and maybe somehow live, although it would be cheap to finally introduce the Eighth Gate and not show the established drawback of it. And Naruto can't do something like magically giving everyone nature chakra, because he already did something similar when everyone got Kurama chakra cloaks.

Eh, I'm not counting the dads, and SHUT UP, I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW.

Obito is Kakashi's archenemy, and in spite of Obito saying he wants to abandon everything, Kakashi is now nothing but a painful reminder of the past to him.

Kiba's death might work, but Shino isn't importantly enough for his death to be meaningful. I think he and Tenten are the least notable members of the Konoha 11.

Sai's character arc is finished, so it is possible he could die. Then again, he might still need to save Yamato, assuming that's possible.

I mean, I guess Kakashi could die. But currently, I see no purpose for Kakashi to live, which is exactly why he shouldn't die. His father died with shame and a lack of purpose. Kakashi can't die the same way.

Now that i think about it, i think that if Kiba, Shino or TenTen were to die. It wouldn't be impactful. So maybe scratch this idea

I think Sai should die to signify the completion of the end of Root. Well then again, he'll probably just return to being part of ANBU anyway.

I think Kishi could finally allow Yamato to be saved, the Zetsu Army is pretty much useless except for Black Zetsu. Plus, it'd be cool to see Yamato and Hashirama fight side by side

Kakashi could die saving Obito, or have his death change him.

Oh yeah, forgot that Sai could just make Root improve or whatever. He does need to change ANBU.

We really need to see what happened to Black Zetsu. Hell, the last time we saw anything resembling a Black Zetsu was when Obito was being controlled by Madara. Granted, that wasn't long ago, but before that, Black Zetsu was just in a flashback, and before that, he got taken down by freaking Chojuro. Pretty lame for one of the longest-running Akatsuki members.

I'd like to know Black Zetsu's full abilities. I mean, he's only a White Zetsu filled with Madara's will so he probably can't use any special techniques that White Zetsu can't. But he must be able to do something cool that makes him a decent opponent.

I wonder if Black Zetsu will just fuse back with Madara. Talk about a let down...
