"The others are coming too..."

"More are coming."

What he probably didn't notice was who was coming, except for the lines of his Dad since he is able to recognize his chakra. Everyone else he must've recognized as others coming, but since they were dead or had their chakra changed (Sasuke), he wasn't able to detail tell who they were. Just that they were allies.

New chapter.

Shino just said exactly what I thought when Kiba said he'll become Hokage, except with less swearing.

[spoiler=Stay classy, Mangapanda]

Seriously, "Turn on"? I told you that Mangapanda is secretly a bunch of rabid fangirls who turn everything into sexual innuendo.

You know, considering how the previous chapter went, maybe he did.

I'm of the opinion that Kishimoto had absolutely no idea what to do with Sasuke (looking at how the guy has acted throughout all of Shippuden, anyway), and he obviously didn't plan this through enough. First he's pretty much the same as he was three years ago, if only more talented. Then after betraying Orochimaru, he seems to start getting good after forming Team Hebi and things seem to bright once he kills Itachi the guy who's been the object of his hatred for so long, but then he turns evil again after Tobi's revelation and decides to take MORE revenge, this time on the village and the elders. Then his chakra becomes increasingly dark, Sasuke even MURDERS a couple of samurai in cold blood -I think-, and everyone keeps stressing that the guy has gone past the point of redemption and Naruto declares that they'll die at each other's hands------annnnddd then he meets zombie!Itachi and then all the Kage, and boom.

Redemption! Annnnnnnnnndddddddddddddddddddddd now he wants to become Hokage.

And Naruto didn't have to do a thing, even though Sasuke's been the one person he trained so long and so hard for! None of this was hinted at all. When it comes to this guy, I'm pretty sure Kishi had to make things up on the spot.

No matter which direction you take it, Sasuke's presence in the storyline makes it way too complicated, so I guess he just decided to make the guy good with several doses of Talk No Jutsu to simplify the story.

You know, I have to say it's weird seeing Good!Sasuke, after seeing him attack the Kage and stab through Karin (his devoted ally at the time) to get to Danzo and almost kill Sakura and laugh and scream maniacally on separate occasions. It's just.....weird.

What just happened is pretty much the equivalent of a bunch of people faffing about for a few years, occasionally throwing rocks at each other, and then suddenly out of nowhere donning power ranger helmets and leaping into action to fight godzilla.

Yeah, Kishi just wanted to find a way to get Team 7 to fight on equal footing. So how long until Sasuke and Sakura learn their respective Sage Modes? Actually, more importantly, I wish the other Kage would just join the battle already.

My guess is Orachi is going to get them.

Actually, I see Orochimaru getting redemptive character development.

You know why he hasn't shown up? I'm almost positive he's gonna go revitalize the Kages somehow, including Tsunade.

I highly doubt Tsunade will die; the impact from her death has long died off since we haven't seen her for months. Instead of messing up the execution of her death, I think Kishi'll use her imminent death to do something with Orochimaru's character.

As for Sasuke, he's long been victim to being a plot device for most of Shippuden.

He definitely could have been written better, but I'm relieved with how things are turning out now. Instead of blatantly ignoring logic like he did after finding out the truth behind the Uchiha Massacre, he's acting sensibly with a clear head like he used to. And him wanting to be Hokage to fix the history of the village to avoid putting people like Itachi into a corner makes much more sense as a goal, plus it gives him and Naruto a reason to duke it out by series' end.

If you think about it, Sasuke was probably kept evil just so we could have that Naruto/Sasuke battle we've all been waiting for, but Kishi had to keep screwing logic in order to make it happen. But then this opportunity presented itself.

I'm sure Kishi's learned a lot from writing Sasuke's character; I'm just glad with the new way he's being handled.

As for the chapter, pretty great action. I've always wondered why Sakura didn't employ the forehead chakra storage, so glad to see that here. Plus, we've never really seen Team Seven kicking a*s together like this, so that makes it cooler.

I'm thinking she'll die soon though...
