It has nothing to do with being wrong.

It has to do with the fact that it's:

A. A HORRIBLE writing choice.

B. Full of plot holes, such as his age.

Potential C. Involves stealing another character's gimmick for no reason.

If he's just Obito, then this Manga becomes complete trash.

A. I don't share that opinion.

B. I'll give you that.

C. Stealing what character's gimmick?

Trash? What is your problem with Tobi being Obito? What is so bad that you would call the manga trash?

Your probably right fusion along with the the possibility of it being some type of revive tech or puppet or something like zetzu but I figured I'd throw it out their because it is a theory and everyone was either missing that fact or just not stating it. But for all i know could quite very well be true.

Orochimaru's. Some people think whoever this is is just using Tobi's body, hence recycling the different bodies schtick Orochimaru's been doing.

Actually, say Tobi turned out to be someone like the Rikudo Sage's Elder Son or Izuna or whoever.

If you think about it, that really wouldn't work well as a reveal because none of his opponents would have any feasible reaction to give it more meaning.

Naruto-"I got his mask off! ...Kakashi-sensei, who is that?

Kakashi-"Not really sure..."

Guy-"I never was good with faces."

Tobi-"Sooo...I never actually needed the mask?"

So actually, Obito's kind of a good writing choice, for dramatic (to some) storytelling purposes at least.

WAIT.

Chiyo's Life Exchange Jutsu.

Chiyo was a medical ninja.

Tsunade met Chiyo on the field of battle.

Recorded Chiyo intel.

Rin was a medical ninja.

Rin found said intel.

Rin somehow found out Obito loved her.

Rin gets Orochimaru to help reconstruct Obito's body and then gives her life to him.

Boom.

I dunno, that probably sounds really, really dumb, but I think that could actually work if polished up and done properly.

As long as we get a good explanation, I'm fine with that.

But honestly, I wish it wasn't so. Obito was such a good kid ;__;

AND A GUY CAN DREAM CAN'T HE?

THAT'S WHAT ALL THE NARUHINA AND NARUSAKU SHIPPERS ARE DOING.

Rin's backstory hasn't really been built on, so I assume she'll have a big role in flashbacks in these coming chapters.

This.

Plus, we saw Obito have one very intense deathbed scene. So, there has to be an explanation as to how he "survived" and his subsequent actions from there.

This set of flashbacks will probably last a good long while.

Kishi must've known about all the speculation that Tobi = Obito over the years/months. It just seems too weird that he would just go with all the speculation and simply allow Tobi to be Obito without any conditions, ifs, ands, or buts.

This chapter was just the reveal. It wasn't "lol i'm Obito now let's continue where we left off".

High chances this will get explored next chapter.

I'm sticking with this. All we know from Rin is that she died. We don't know "how" she died exactly...so there's a lot to fill in with this.

Well, it'd be weird if Kishi didn't plan his identity from when he first created the character. If people happened to guess his identity from the start, well...oh well.

...I just realized this

I still don't get what everyone's problem is.

Not pointing any fingers at people here, but from what I gather, most everyone I've seen on the internet's mad that they were wrong and the Obito theorists, long shunned and scorned for their "naive" and "simplistic" desires for Obito to be Tobi were in fact, right.

And nothing bugs a guy more than when an "idiot" or whatever was right and you weren't.

Yay! Say you're sorry! Say it!

Guys, I've got it. Read this entire post please.

Read chapter 503. In it, Tobi bleeds. There's white and red blood seeping out of his sleeve. This points to him being rebuilt with Zetsu cells. Zetsu very well could have something to do with Senju DNA, which would explain why he could control the 9-Tails. As for his height, Kakashi and Might Guy were shown being quite tall during that flashback.

What makes it obvious he's Obito is the fact that he knew Minato, and how to infiltrate the Leaf, as well as how to force Minato to use his Flying Thunder God technique. Madara's brother would have no idea about Minato's powers.

It's Obito. It's obvious. It always was.

Don't forget him regenerating his arm in Zetsu cells right after the Danzo thing.

A lot of people have been griping about the age thing with Minato; I guess it makes sense that he just had a growth spurt like Kakashi. The real question is how he got so strong in that timeframe.
