They've flat out said that he's Obito and you guys can't believe! XD "No! It can't be!" or "My God, there must be more to it! I can't have been wrong!"

It has nothing to do with being wrong.

It has to do with the fact that it's:

A. A HORRIBLE writing choice.

B. Full of plot holes, such as his age.

Potential C. Involves stealing another character's gimmick for no reason.

If he's just Obito, then this Manga becomes complete trash.

You don't have to resort to name-calling, dick.

The fact is, all you know right now is that it's Obito. Whether you think it's bad writing or not, you can't change that and that's all you know for a fact. It may just be Obito's body, but it's still Obito.

Don't think the age thing is that big a deal. Side from him controlling the Mizukage at some time and his knowledge of the past, he always seemed to be about Kakashi's age. The bigger problem is stuff like character motivation, super power jump between his death and his fight with the 4th, and how he came back from the dead. I'm sure something big will happen for chapter 600 to further the fight and make some of that less stupid.

Um....what name calling? Am I just that blind?

Anyway, if its just his body it isn't really Obito. Just a puppet.

Because of course Tobi being revealed as Madara had nothing more to it.

A. How is it a horrible writing choice beyond being proving the biggest piece of speculation since the character's introduction?

B. Doesn't mean those can't be filled in.

C. Agreed, I don't want him to be like Orochimaru. If Kishi does make it so that he's controlling Obito, at least make it unique in some way.

One of the several things that really bugs me about Tobi (this ignors him being Obito) is how he could have Obito's eye. His left sie was crushed by a rock. The eye should have been destroyed, crushed beyond repair.

I say Senju/Zetsu cells helped regenerate the eye.

I'm sure we'll get a good explanation.

A. I don't think it is; it could be called a cliche good guy gone bad thing, but that's not necessarily a bad writing choice. If Obito's downfall seems forced in Kishi's explanation, then...whatevs.

B. Like I said, they aren't really holes unless they're left unfilled. I am positive Kishi's planned out on covering every angle.

C. I'll give you that.

I completely disagree that this manga would be trash just because it seems like his identity choice contradicts everything we know.

The point of a twist (granted lots don't see this as a twist, but) is to upend what we thought we knew with the truth.

Eh, I think people are just mad cause it's not anything like their overcomplicated theories.

Obito makes sense, being crushed by a rock would not necessarily destroy your eye beyond repair, I think we may have misinterpreted Kakashi becoming a Chunin at 12, and even if we did, it's honestly more believable than him becoming a Chunin at 6.

Anyway, stop looking for excuses to complain. Everything pointed to this.

Hey what up guy's, I read the latest chapter and had to see what everyone on here was saying about it. In my honest opinion im confused, yet somethis make sense. Their is one thing I'd like to point out that everyone seems to be forgetting. Tobi can use the time space jutsu to send part of his body or all of it to a different demension. So in theory if Tobi is really Obito with nothing else added it makes sense that when Obito had the rock crush him that he could have just used the time space jutsu to transport his left side to the other demension. The thing that confuses me the most is the knowledge of the past and how he fought with minato. But then again we dont know much about this demension and its effects. For all we know time could be greatly shortened inside the demension allowing it so Obito could be tobi through out it all. Just thought Id throw that out their and see if anyone agreed or had any alternate thoughts.

Dude, that's genius.

Maybe at that moment he learned the jutsu, but who knows.

Anywayz, let's just wait for Kishi to explain.

The problem with your idea is Obito would be acting to deceive his teammates at that moment.

I'd really hate to think he was evil back then.

The other thing is Tobi's power is revealed to be a Mangekyo power. I highly doubt Obito unlocked MS like 5 minutes after unlocking regular Sharingan and managed to do something complicated like warping half his body away in an instant.

Tenta makes another good point, I feel like most people I've seen on the internet were looking for something more complicated, but I think a lot of us older folk (including me) forget sometimes that Naruto is a Shonen manga. It's not really supposed to get too complicated because its target audience are prepubescent kids who are probably flipping their sh*t right now that Tobi turned out to be Obito, Kakashi's old teammate they had thought long dead.
