Legend Zero
This whole chapter made me extremely disappointed in this series.
Monkey
This is stupid... The Rinnegan is a step further than the Sharingan? So is it implied that the Byakugan can transform into the Rinnegan? I'm really disappointed in this development.... Also, Madara's Susano'o looks dumb... And where is Madara's war fan?? Fusion X. Denver
HOLD THE PHONE.MAYBE THE DEVELOPMENT AIN'T SO DUMB.Observe the page I hyperlinked in my previous post.Madara mentions the secrets of his body. NOWHe says he awoke those eyes SHORTLY before his death.Where was he before he died?Fighting Hashirama. What is Hashirama?A Senju. What happens when you combine the power of a Senju and an Uchiha? As Tobi said here (be sure to read the first few pages before that one too), they're a part of the power of the 6 paths. What's the power of the 6 Paths? The Rinnegan. Kabuto's hypothesis could have been combining the power of Uchiha and Senju to tap into the power of the Rikudo Sage, just as Tobi explained to Konan. So Rinnegan isn't a natural evolution of Sharingan, it's what happens when you combine it's power with a Senju's. And I retract my previous statement about Madara not being the coffin guy. See, I wasn't thinking, of course Madara's resurrection was Tobi's doing.Tobi didn't even KNOW Edo Tensei was usable until Kabuto approached him. Of course he'd make use of this new useful tool.So Madara being shown would still apply and would then be of use to Tobi. And therefore, I now still believe Tobi is the Sage. Monkey
So your saying that Edo Tensei Madara, who Kabuto stated was "in his prime", is Senju and Uchiha? And the reason why Madara has the Rinnegan is because he is part Senju and part Uchiha, being part of both brothers? Also... There's a meteor about to strike one of the strongest parts of the Shinobi Alliance... Um...(Here comes Naruto to the rescue OR Madara is attacking himself?) Fusion X. Denver
So your saying that Edo Tensei Madara, who Kabuto stated was "in his prime", is Senju and Uchiha?More like he obtained the power of the Senju. When Tobi talks to Konan, he explains he obtained Senju abilities, so I wouldn't put it past Madara to obtain them either. And the reason why Madara has the Rinnegan is because he is part Senju and part Uchiha, being part of both brothers? The Rikudo Sage did split his power, his eyes and his body. The eyes evolved into the Uchiha and the body into Senju. When you reunite them, you get Rikudo Sage, and thus, Rinnegan.Also... There's a meteor about to strike one of the strongest parts of the Shinobi Alliance... Um...(Here comes Naruto to the rescue OR Madara is attacking himself?)I think Tsuchikage's gonna die, or maybe Gaara.Who knows.
Kakashi Hatake
This is stupid... The Rinnegan is a step further than the Sharingan? It's a bit confusing to me too. xDSo is it implied that the Byakugan can transform into the Rinnegan? What does that have to do with Sharingan?I'm really disappointed in this development....I'm not. :DAlso, Madara's Susano'o looks dumb... And where is Madara's war fan??No.Everyone's going to be so disappointed when Tobi turns out to be Konahama- *shot repeatedly*

Phantom Roxas
Mangastream translation begs to differ (I think mangareader fudged that one) Actually, I read the Mangastream translation first; I simply phrased my post poorly. What I meant is that if took Madara so long to achieve the Rinnegan, how can Sasuke get it?
Tentacruel
Because plot device.
Fusion X. Denver
Now I'm not so sure if Sasuke will get the Rinnegan. If he were to obtain Senju abilities like Madara and Tobi did, then he very well could awaken his own Rinnegan. But now I don't think so. Think, the Rinnegan was what made Pain/Nagato unique.Madara and Tobi are unique in that they can use both.So Sasuke should be unique in his sole EMS-style.At least, that's how I feel. Things could go either way, but for now, I'd say no to Sasuke getting Rinnegan.
Phantom Roxas
Tobi gave Nagato the Rinnegan, and I'm sure that Tobi got that Rinnegan from Madara. We've seen through Itachi that just because your eyes are now someone else's does not mean that you won't have them when you're revived through Edo Tensei. Fusion X. Denver
...THAT'S IT.Maybe.But why give Nagato the Rinnegan in the first place? That's the big question.
Merci
I like Madara's Susanoo. It looks traditioned and old-fashioned, exactly how something should be, two hundred years early, not super-cool-awesome-dark-lame like Sasuke's. What I don't like is the fact that Kishi gave Madara the Rinnegan. He should have just stuck with the EMS and use its supercool powers to save himself from Naruto's Rasenshurikne. But oh well. Mr.WHAM
So does that mean Naruto can obtain a Rinnengan now? I mean he did technically have the power of the Uchiha and Senju. But I suppose since he's given it up... Also I don't see Gaara or Tsuchikage dying...cause thats just wrong that thye kill Gaara again and Tsuchi is the only one who can really help them. But I think Itachi might appear.
Fusion X. Denver
The fact that Tsuchi is one of the few that's actually useful is the exact reason why I believe he'll die.I agree with Gaara though. And unless Naruto transplants a Sharingan, no, he will not get the Rinnegan.
Monkey
@Kakashi (for some reason I can't quote on the mobile version so bear with me) The only reason I bring up the Byakugan is because it's a derivation of the Sharingan, so I was just curious as to if it has the potetial to evolve. Saying that it could evolve into the Rinnegan is too much, my bad. Also, I say Madara's Susano'o looks dumb because it seems stripped down. Granted, it does have two faces and two sets of arms But Itachi's and Sasuke's both had some sort of armor on it. If Madara is stronger, shouldn't it have at least some armor? Just saying... Blake
So, I'm confused. Why does Madara have Susano'o? In the past it was states that Mangekyou powers stack when they go EMS. Izuna and Madara were said to have one set that made their enemy think they were blind, and another that controlled the BODY of anyone who locked eyes with them. Not sure which was which. Anyways, was that all bull?
Fusion X. Denver
No no no, it's like this. When you unlock Mangekyo Sharingan, you can use:TsukuyomiAmaterasuSusanooItachi and Sasuke had regular MS, but could use all 3 of these.I actually should have seen him using Susanoo coming, but if you stop and think about it, both he and Izuna should be able to use all 3.However, proficiency with the techs vary per user. Itachi was better at Sasuke with Tsukuyomi, but Sasuke was just as good, if not better than Itachi with Amaterasu. So it's possible Susanoo is Madara's affinity, but he should be able to use the other 2 as well. Blake
But they SPECIFICALLY STATED the Powers I mentioned ._. Also, Kakashi uses Kamui.
Tentacruel
Kakashi's probably isn't a proper Mangekyo.
Monkey
I always thought that Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susano'o were the 3 generic MS technique and on top of that, each Sharigan had their own unique techniques. Like as stated earlier how Madara and Izuna can make a person think they are blind and control their bodies and how Shisui's is his 1 use per 10 year technique. Fusion X. Denver
I don't remember those being mentioned in the manga at all, unless it was in a guidebook or something.Actually, I think Monkey's right. They gain one unique ability on top of the 3 main techs.Kakashi can't use the 3 techs because he only has 1 eye, since Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu are stored in separate eyes and both are required for Susanoo, but he does have his own technique.
Tentacruel
I always assumed even those three techs were specific to Itachi.
Blake
So, he has the Amaterasu eye, but ddoes't have it. And neither Itachi nor Sasuke have been shown to have their own technique.
Monkey
Can Kakashi use Genjutsu with his Sharigan? It would make sense since he has the left eye. The only issue is that we don't know what Sasuke's is yet, assuming that Itachi's is his crows.
