Er, did anyone else notice that Nagato is an Uzumaki? That was a big twist to me.

I'm liking that Madara's losing his mask, but I want to know how he got Hashirama's DNA. Turns out he really does have Izanagi.

Anyway, just posted this theory on Bleach Asylum and I thought I might as well copy it:;

From Kushina's comment, I thought that the Senju and the Uzumaki were descendants from the younger brother, the while Uchiha and the Hyuga were descendants from the older brother. Now I think the Uzumaki instead descended from the elder brother, but only the Uzumaki formed a proper pact with the Senju. However, the theory about them being descended from both Uchiha and Senju could explain why they also have long life-spans, which justifies why Nagato was able to revive everyone in the village. Hyuga likely became allies later while Uzumaki went on to form their own village. As we know, Uchiha was simply brought under their surveillance.

Since Nagato is the "third path", I'm guessing Madara will want to get the Byakugan next, since I'm assuming the Hyuga are another path. My guess is that this means two more clans will be revealed as "paths", being the closer kinsmen to Senju.

I'm flabbergasted at the fact that Nagato has been thrown into the Uzumaki bloodline now.

I can only assume that Madara managed to get Hashirama's blood during his fight (which would be very easy since they were trying to kill each other) and he used Orochimaru to maybe duplicate the DNA or just extract the DNA and place it in him.

Your new theory confuses me a little. Are you saying that the Senju descended from the younger brother and that the Hyuga, Uchiha and Uzumaki descended from the older? Could you please clarify that for me?

What would be the Six Paths? Mokuton, Sharingan, Byakugan, Rinnegan (Does this count as one?)

Sarutobi clan? Do they have a kekkei genkai?

The Nara clan would be nice to be one of the Paths but I don't think so.

Whenever I think of the Six Paths, I think of the six senses... But since three of the six have been taken by vision techniques, I guess it doesn't really work.

Inuzuka clan = smell

Nara clan = touch?

No, doesn't work.

Do you think all the six paths are in Konoha?

The Kaguya Clan is extinct since Kimimaro died...

Akimichi? Really? SUPER DUPER FAT TECHNIQUE is one of the Six Paths?

Are we just going to start naming random clans and think that those who have kekkei genkai are one of the Six Paths?

The Akimichi clan might be one as it might of come out the Uzumaki clan and I know Kimimaro died but we don't know where is his body and his clan may have been come out Senju Clan.

It's impossible for the Jyuubi to be a Path, since I'm pretty sure each Path is a clan, or at least the heir to that clan's power.

I really don't think a Kekkei Genkai is necessary. Sarutobi doesn't even have a Kekkei Genkai, but I still suspect them to be one of the Path Clans, since the Hokages so far have all been related in some way. The first two and Tsunade are all Senju, and Minato is pretty much their kinsman through marriage. If the Sarutobi are a Path Clan, then that completes them being related.

Monkey has good points, but let me talk about the other three. Shikamaru is pretty much my favorite character in the series, which is why I would like the Nara to be a Path Clan, but it's very unlikely. Kiba and Ino aren't important enough to be part of Path Clans. I'd rather see Sakura be a Path than Ino.

Sarutobi is likely, while Nara is a preference. Then again, Shikamaru is a very popular character. Kishimoto actually once said that if he were a girl, he picked Shikamaru out of the entire male cast for the one he would marry. So yeah, even Kishi agrees that Shikamaru > Sasuke.
