I have a .hack fic that I’m working on, but I need characters. If I like your idea, I’ll use it. I also need some name suggestions too, so… yeah. Fire away. Use the raw application in the spoiler. I already have the first few chapters planned out, but I'm not revealing any plot details.

I don't know much about .hack, but I know a little, and I love making characters.

 

Name {World}: Tyr Fenrir

Meaning Behind Name: The name is the combination of the Norse god of war and a beast he had slain. It's mostly because he has a knack for being indesicive. He in esscense, has inner conflicts with himself.

Class: Lord Partizan

Appearance {World}: He has unkept black hair that reaches the rim of his eyes. He has feral like yellow eyes, with a well built body. From his waist up, he has obsidian steampunkish armor. The armor itself is basically pyramid like. A triangle like obsidian head covers the chest. The head itself looks like a wolf. The armor then starts to roughen up as it continues downward. Several edges pop out along the arm area, and a large flat edge appears as shoulder guards. The odd flat edges start to lower in size around the legs. The boots have two large 'talons' that extend from the boots.

Personality: Sarcastic, and indesicive. He generally has to argue with himself to pick anything, wether it be food or an item. When it comes to fights, he's very tenacious, always backing up his friends even if possibly means his death.

Skill in World: He's more or less in between high and medium, but dwells more to medium.

Name {Real}: Trystin Schneider

Age: 18

Occupation: Student, but has a job at a video game store.

Name {World}: Decaying Legion (or DL)

Meaning Behind Name: DL is the collection of many bugs and trashed data, particularly one that was made for a boss that actually got stronger when the average level of a group trying to fight it was higher than his average level (so he could always be a challenge). That... didn't turn out so well. However some pices of the data remained and was gathered along with the bugs, glitches, and stray data to make Legion. He is called LEgion cause he is one, but he is many (he's made from bugs) and Decaying is from the fact that he is made from useless or dangerous pieces of data.

Class: As a glitch he was never really supposed to be a playable avatar. Thus he uses a new class which basically revolves around using monsters special attacks (haven't read enough .hack for me to pick one of the given ones) he is similar to a Blue mage.

Appearance {World}: DL looks not like any other player, in fact he doesn't even look like a singular entity. Rather he appears to be a swarm of small black insects hovering around in a humanoid shape. Closer inspection shows that the bugs look like winged black Spiders. When DL attacks it gathers the bugs close together to make a replica of a weapon for him to hit with or makes a replica of a enemy body part to shot and attack it copied from one fo the enemies.

Personality: DL is very reclusive, unable to use items and given the fact that he looks like a monster he sees little use for player to player interaction. As he can't use any items (it's his major weakness) he just leaves the items he collect from his monster fights on the floor, making him a small legend (after all it is free stuff). DL is surprisingly shy though if you meet him he is extremely optimistic happy and like those super happy go lucky guys (this always shocks people who meet DL the first time). Disturbingly the avatar itself has some small separate sentience as it is created from enemies who have a natural AI. Thus DL hears small whispers whenever he is logged on.

Skill in World: DL is high skill.

Name {Real}: Joseph Goldman

Age: 25

Occupation: Hacker with a conscience, internet security code writer (usually uses his hacking powers for harmless things like making DL or seeing how a virus can get around his software so he can protect his software better).

Tyr would be an interesting PC, but I really like the idea of DL. I'll work him into the story, for sure.

Name {World}: Zarkus Syuren

Meaning Behind Name: He thought it sounded cool

Class: Flick Reaper

Appearance {World}: Your basic knight getup, except with a red cape. Black shoulder length hair, and red eyes. People who look him in the eyes feel as if they're staring in an abyss.

Personality: Outwardly friendly when he isn't player killing, helping people and lower leveled players. While player killing however, he is a sadist and a borderline sociopath that takes joy in watching players die. His stark contrast in personalities leads others to believe that he has Dissociative Identity Disorder. This isn't true, however. Just 2 sides of the same coin.

Skill in World:A high leveled player and a well-known PK.

Name {Real}: Jesse B. Syuren

Age: 20

Occupation: College student with average grades.

Eh, I might take pieces of him, but I don't plan on doing the full thing, mainly:

 

1) I have personal dislike against people who constantly reuse names for characters.

2) That's not exactly Flick Reaper getup. (They're more lightly-dressed.)

3) Split personality has been done by Sakubo. Also, you can't really PK and help people; no-one'd trust you.

Cyranoid (a cyranoid is a person who do not speak thoughts originating in their own central nervous system: Rather, the words they speak originate in the mind of another person who transmits these words to the cyranoid by radio transmission. Much like an avatar)

 

Bacriopha (it is a shortening of Bacteriophage, a kind of virus)

 

Ulunia Secuba Bacuva (It sounds like a spell and it can be shortened to USB, as in a USB drive other than that I kinda didn't bother thinking)

 

Nortaj (it's a jumble of Trojan, as in a trojan horse virus)

 

Cabir (a common mobile virus's If you use Bacropha and Nortaj as well as this I suggest you make them a group)

 

MoreDread (A playerkiller who's name is a corruption of Mordred of lore who struck down King Arthur and ended the golden age, also it sounds like a avatar name doesn't it?)

I like them, but are they for a character name, or the title? If the latter, I have a personal idea. "thunderclap_101"; if you want more possible backstory on the meaning, and therefore the plot, Wikipedia "long names".
