Itachi, armed with Sharingan, was able to catch Kakashi's arm (much like he did Sasuke). However, as soon as Itachi gripped Kakashi's arm hard, he liquefied and was nowhere in sight. "Itachi... if you want to hear what I have to say. Meet me in the Land of Sound. With Kakashi Hatake here, I can't risk him overhearing what Kisame wanted me to tell you" said Suigai. "Oh well, I'll see you in the Land of Sound soon enough" She put her foot on the side fot the boat. "Oh, and feel free to watch my ass as I leave" she said as she jumped to the riverbank. As she landed on the riverbank, the whirlpool began to dissipate until the water returned to it's calm state. Itachi watched her leave as she told him to, fully aware that Kakashi was lurking around somewhere, just waiting for his opportune time to pounce and attack... -----Kentou's Story-----Background Kentou was running across the plains of the Land of Fire, trying to escape from the pursuit of Leaf Village Shinobi. He ran across the field tirelessly to find a town outside of the Leaf Village's grasp. However, after running non-stop for hours on end, he reached a town just inside the Land of Fire's borders and he knew he had to stop off and rest for a while in order to reach the other side of the border. Background2 He walked through the town, seeing a hustling and bustling market area at night during a festival. No one seemed to care that he was an Akatsuki member; they all seemed more concerned with having a good time in their festival. He entered a tea shop, sat down and ordered some tea. After it was delivered and the waitress had left, he felt something hard and large on his shoulder. Tyaro was amazed that Naruto was able to move. The Jutsu should have rendered him helpless. "How are....you able to stand?""When I have something to fight for, I won't stop until that is accomplished. My dream is to be Hokage! A Hokage has to protect the people of his Village! I am going to do that now!" Background 2 The Chakra around Naruto turned red, and got much larger. "What...kind of Chakra is that? How is Naruto able to move." Kakashi, with Chidori ready for strike followed off the boat. "Fire Style: Dragon Fire Jutsu" said Itachi as he turned away from Kakashi, using a short burst of the Dragon Fire Jutsu's immense power to push him back towards the boat. He flew by Kakashi and used his chakra to stick to the boat. However, Itachi didn't get back unscaved, Kakashi swung his arm and partially struck Itachi with the Chidori. As Kakashi stood on the water watching the boat, Itachi struggled onto the boat, bleeding from his back where he got struck by Chidori.Itachi focused his chakra and his back healed for the most part almost instantly. He stood up, still bleeding slightly from his back, looking at Kakashi, as if anticipating Kakashi to follow him. "Water Fang Bullet" shouted Itachi as 4 large streams of spiralling water shot at Kakashi from random locations around Kakashi... -----Kentou's Story-----Background Kentou sat, staring up at this man with the sword. He saw an Akatsuki outfit. He then turned back around, unfazed. "Hmm... I never expected to see you here. What happened, Itachi chase you away?" asked the Akatsuki member as he sat down beside Kentou. Kentou looked at him, if almost insulted. "Now, Kisame. You are not here to speak to me about Itachi. Why are you here?" asked Kentou. The two just stared for a while at eachother as the festival around them continued in full swing. "Hmm... I need to tell you something. However, it is very confidential, not something I want to say surrounded by this many people. I have already sent my sister, Suigai, to talk to Itachi about this. No doubt he and she got into a fight." said Kisame. He and Kentou chuckled a little at the prospect of Itachi and Suigai fighting. "I know... it's rather predictable. Of course she's going to attack him, she can't do anything simple" said Kisame. "Yes, Kisame. She is a bit of a drama queen, it was the same while we dated. But I'm not going to sit here if we are going to reminisce about mine and her relationship. What exactly do you want from me?" asked Kentou coldly. Background2 "Well, I want you to go to the Land of Sound and meet me there so I can speak to you and Itachi about this privately. However, before you go there, you've got a mission from the leader" said Kisame as he handed Kentou a envelope. Kentou opened it and looked over his assignment as Kisame and Kentou said nothing, just drunk some tea. Shortly afterward, Kisame stood up and walked away from Kentou, leaving him to read his solo assignment, set for him by the Akatsuki leader... Naruto tried to stand, but couldn't. He was in a lot of pain. Background Naruto thought about when he fought Haku and Zabuza. He managed to overcome the obstacles, and win the fight. Then, when he fought against Gaara, and Orochimaru also. He thought about the first time he did the Rasengan, against Kabuto. Was he going to sit here and not do anything? The answer was no. Background 2 "I am a Leaf Village Shinobi. I don't know what you want with me, but I have practice to get to. Do you know, that I haven't had the chance to practice my Rasengan in two days. That bothers me, and your the reason for it Tyaro. You and your group of ninjas. I don't care who you are, but I am going to defeat you.""Your all talk kid. The problem is, you can't back up what you say! You can't even stand up, yet you say you can defeat me. Your a loser!" Naruto was furious. "What did you just say?!""I said your a loser!" Naruto focused all his Chakra to his arms, and began to stand up. "Dont even try to stand up, it's worthless! Your pitiful!" Even Guy had stopped fighting, and was looking at Naruto and Tyaro talking. "Naruto, don't worry about it, you won't be able to stand. I will take care of these guys myself." "Sorry, but this is now personal!" Naruto stood up. "I'm impressed, you were able to stand! You won't be able to maintain that for more than a minute!" Background 3 "You can attack me, you can insult me, but no one calls me a loser!" "What are you going to do about it kid? I'm stronger than you." Tyaro stood up also. "You will barely be able to move because of this Jutsu!" Naruto held out his hand. He was going to try doing the Rasengan without any Shadow Clones. Naruto couldn't even summon Gamabunta, or do the Shadow Clone Jutsu, yet he didn't doubt that he could do the Rasengan. Guy had to stop Naruto. "Stop it Naruto! Your not going to be able to do this!""Listen to your sensei. I will destroy you Naruto Uzumaki." Then, something unbelievable happened. The Chakra began rotating in Naruto's hand. The Rasengan formed. "He actually made the Rasengan. The loser won't be able to use it on me though. This jutsu is too strong for him to move in.""I am not going to run away! It's all on the line here! Alright!" Naruto's Chakra became red, and he began to move toward Tyaro. "This is for the Hidden Leaf Village. Rasengan!" As Kakashi launched the Jutsu, it appeared as if Itachi had it all choreographed. However, as Itachi dodged the Water Shark Bomb, another surge of water rushed at him... It was another Water Shark Bomb. Itachi's eyes widened, he knew there was no time to dodge... Itachi put his arms up to protect his body and face as the surge of water struck. The water threw Itachi away from the boat, this time throwing him a long way away from the boat. Itachi flew through the air and then struck the river water. As Kakashi looked, preparing for Itachi to go after him, it appeared that Itachi had just vanished, without a trace... -----Kentou's Story-----Background Kentou was walking through a town. He had to stop and get some survival supplies in order to complete his mission. He went from store to store, looking for anything he may need to survive on his next mission. For hours, he was searching store after store, just thinking about what he may need. He decided not to stop, and after he got all his supplies, he left the village. On his way out, he noticed something odd about this mission. "Hmm... I'm heading to the Land of Snow for Akatsuki to meet an informant to do a very specific task in the snow village, however it's just a snowy and heavily industrialised land. So, what could be there that interest's Akatsuki so much? More importantly, why didn't they tell me everything in the written documents?" thought Kentou as he left the town and rushed towards the Land of Snow. Background2 "Doesn't matter, I need to focus and do the mission. If I can do the mission without incident, it won't matter" he thought as he charged quickly away from civilization to an abandoned boatyard, where his ride was waiting for him. "You here representing Akatsuki?" said the old man gruffly. Kentou nodded and the old man showed the way to a small fishing boat. Both men got on the boat, and they set sail for the Land of Snow... Kakashi knew something was going to happen, and it wasn't good. The only way to find out, was to cross the river, and head straight to the Village Hidden In The Rain.......... Itachi was floating face-up on the surface of the water. Inside his mind, he knew he was just floating and could feel the cold chill of the water. He wanted to open his eyes, but the ravishes of the recent conflicts with Leaf Shinobi had wiped him out physically and mentally. He continued to float and eventualy he was in view of a fishing boat, floating on the water... -----Kentou's Story-----Background Kentou was standing at the front end of the boat, staring out at the waters ahead with arms folded. The fisherman was sitting at the back of the boat, propelling the controlling the boat using his chakra. "Kentou... we should be nearing the port of the Land of Snow. I'll set you down on the docks and then I'm leaving you" said the fisherman. Kentou looked back at him. "No you won't. There is too much commotion and too rigorous security on the Snow islands, especially at the ports; they screen everyone and their cargo as they enter port. They don't want Akatsuki there, and if any of us do go there, they are under orders to kill on sight, no matter what the cost" said Kentou softly. The fisherman nodded his head and they continued on towards the islands. When they were within 10km of the ports, Kentou signalled a stop to the boat. He saw out on the water a familiar figure floating in the water. "Kentou, you can't swim to the islands from here, the currents around here are too strong, the mists are too thick and they patrol every square metre of the border at every hour of everyday, so you'll be discovered anyway" said the Fisherman with concern in his voice. "Don't worry, old man. I'll be fine. Besides, I want you to pick up that man in the water over there and take him back to that abandoned Dockyard we set sail from with you" said Kentou as he crouched down and sat on the edge of the boat. "Ninja Art: Air Bubble Jutsu" Kentou created a bubble of air around his head to aid him underwater to breathe. He dived backwards into the water and began to swim towards the islands underwater. The fisherman turned his boat and began heading for the unknown man in the water. As the boat reached the man, he maneuvered the man into the boat and readied the boat to take him back to the abandoned docklands on the mainland... This wasn't easy for him though, he was having trouble standing, not to mention performing the Rasengan. The only reason he was able to fight was because he cared about the Leaf Village, and that care gave Naruto strength. No matter what, he couldn't quit. Naruto knew that once he used the Rasengan, if he was even able to, he would have almost no Chakra left. Guy and Ibiki, along with the other Rain Ninja, were amazed that a 14 year old Genin from the Leaf Village was able to counter the Jutsu. Then Guy got an idea. He thought that if he attacked the Rain Ninja that were doing the Jutsu, it might be easier for Naruto to get to Tyaro. "Ibiki!" One glance from Guy told Ibiki that they had to attack the Rain Ninja. Ibiki nodded. "Alright Tyaro! Your going to realize that I am not a loser! Are you ready for this?" "When you actually get over here, you will be too weak to hit me." Tyaro smiled, but then looked over at Guy. He had taken down 3 more Rain Ninja, leaving 15 standing. "If they attack the other ninja, Uzumaki will be able to hit me! This isn't good. I've got to do something!" Tyaro made some hand signs. "[color=#0000FF]Ninja Art: Rain Wind![/color]" The Chakra-Rain, started moving towards Naruto. All the Chakra was hitting Naruto now, but Guy and Ibiki weren't being effected. This was a great thing for the Leaf Shinobi, because they could fight easily. Guy kicked one of the Rain Ninja, sending him back a few feet. Then, he ran and attacked 5 more Rain Ninja, leaving only 9 standing. Then, Ibiki took a chance. "[color=#0000FF]Ninja Art: Phoenix Flame Jutsu![/color]" The 9 standing Rain Ninja weren't standing anymore. Naruto was. He looks down and notices his and hands were shackled behind his back and his feet were shackled to the floor. He looked around and noticed he was in the cargo hold of a large, fishing trawler. He struggled to break his bonds, but soon, a guard walked in and kicked him in the ribs. Itachi coughed up blood as he writhed in pain. As he struggled to catch his breath, the two guards were laughing and joking. "Ha! So this is the great Itachi Uchiha. Man, I thought he would be stronger than this" said the taller one in a gruff voice. Then they walked out of the cargo hold and closed the door. Itachi knew that if he was going to get out of there, he had to get out while they were still joking around; Their guards would be down and they would be unable to mobilize quick enough to stop him escaping. Itachi struggled to reajust his hands behind his back, so that he could make hand-signs. However, as he put his hands together, he felt that his ring was missing. The anger swelled on his face, as his most precious possession was stolen from him. He knew that now before he could leave, he had to find his ring and coat. However, on an encroaching, CQ fishing trawler, and due to his recent run ins with the Leaf Shinobi, it would be exceedingly difficult to get his gear and escape without being discovered. He continued with his hand sign while watching the door just in case anyone came through the door. "Fire Style: Crimson Ball Jutsu" whispered Itachi. Then a crimson ball appeared between his hands and he twisted his hand and wrist to make the ball contact the shackles. The heat from the ball began to heat up the metal of his arm shackles. Soon after, the heat of the crimson flame melted the metal to the point where Itachi could slip his arms out. Then he repeated the process on his legs. After a while, he melted the shackles to free his legs as well. Itachi stood up and knew he wouldn't have much time until he was discovered missing. He had to work fast and stealthly... -----Kentou's Story-----Background Kentou swam slowly towards a lower lying portion of the docks that was concealed by shipping containers. He climbed out of the water onto the dock and was amazed by the lack of security around by this low-lying peer and more importantly, that the peer even exists. He prone his back against the container and peered around the corner, and saw 3 Snow Shinobi. "Hmm... 3 of them. I don't want to alert them this soon" thought Kentou as he looked around to find his destination. "Right... I need to get to that house on the mountain. My informant should be there, waiting for me already. So, how to get up there" he thought. Suddenly, he noticed that one of the guards were coming his direction. Kentou ducked down on the lower peer as the guard appeared above him and stared out at the oceon. The guard stood there for what seemed to be an Ice Age drinking tea from a paper cup. As the guard turned around, Kentou grabbed him around the mouth and stabbed him in the back with an ice pick attached to his wrist (like a retractable sword attachment). Kentou twisted the ice and then pulled it out violently. However, no blood seeped out. He grabbed the guard and threw him into the oceon. The guard's body sunk under the oceon's surface like a stone. He then prone his back against the container again and saw the coast of clear. He had a direct path from where he was to the road leading to the mountain path he needed to take. However he knew that the most direct path was always the most dangerous path to take. He had to find another, less direct path to take in order to reach the mountain cabin... As the boat sailed through the waterfall from which the village was behind, Kakashi trailed behind, quietly and stealthy to stay out of sight, until, somebody spotted him, and watched his every move as they traveled through the waterfall................... "Naruto is a great Shinobi. He took a big chance by fighting, and he was able to win. What a great kid." Guy thought Naruto was out, but he wasn't. He was in a lot of pain, but he was able to move. "I am going to walk without any assistance. I appreciate the offer, but I don't need the help." "Naruto...""No, don't worry about me. You go get Lee. I won't be of any use to you anyway." Ibiki smiled. "What are you smiling about?""You couldn't be more wrong, Naruto Uzumaki. The reason we won this fight is because of you. For a Genin, you are incredibly strong. Thank you for everything.""I don't think so. The jutsu hurt me a lot. I will only make it harder for you to find Lee. Why don't I just go back to.." "That's not the way you usually act Naruto." Background Ibiki and Guy looked with amazement. "Jiraya? I thought you were going to prevent any Rain Ninja from attacking the Leaf Village.""If Naruto wasn't with you, I would have. This is a very important mission, and a Genin like Naruto shouldn't be involved in a mission like this.""Then why did...""Naruto isn't like other Genin. Did you notice how when he was fighting Tyaro, he stood up, even though most Genin, even Chunin, wouldn't be able to?" Naruto smiled when Jiraya said that. He knew that people did care about him, and that he was just acting stupid. "Thanks for the compliment! From now on, I am going to fight the best I can!""Welcome back Naruto." Today was a great day. Naruto was finally able to do the Rasengan without a Shadow Clone, and now they were going to get Lee. ____________________________________________________ Background 2 Although it was a great day for Naruto, the same cannot be said for Orochimaru. He knew that Itachi would be looking for him, and he had an idea that would work. The problem was, for Orochimaru's idea to work out correctly, the Leaf Village would have to agree to assist the Sound Village. Background 3 Orochimaru walked up to a man. "Is everything ready? He continued down the corridors, but all the corridors looked exactly the same, so soon It became clear the Itachi was having difficulty navigating the ship. He entered a room, and found an electronic map of the ship. He quickly scanned the map, looking for his ring, jacket and then an exit. as soon as he was done, he rushed out the door. However, as he did that, the alarm sounded. "Damn... I thought I'd have more time than this to get away. I now have to find my stuff and the way out while avoiding the guards" thought Itachi as he ducked inside the door to avoid a guard patrol. He looked up as they ran by and he say they were from the Land of Rocks. He looked up confused at what they have to do with this and what were they doing down by the Land of Snow... **Flashback**Background2 Itachi was floating unconscious on the water, as the boat Kentou was on rushed to save him. When he got there, he pulled Itachi onto the boat and made sure he was alive. However, just as soon as he checked Itachi's pulse, he heard a massive fishing trawler coming right at him. As he was distracted by the trawler, ninja swooped down and grabbed Itachi. The fisherman grabbed Itachi by the coat to prevent them taking him, but then another ninja stabbed the fisherman in the back and they swooped away onto the Deck of the trawler just before the trawler rammed into the fishing boat, sending the fisherman to the bottom of the sea. **Flashback End** Background3 As the Rock Ninja walked around the corner, Itachi rushed out the doorway and ran down the corridor... -----Kentou's Story-----Background Kentou rushed across the Docklands, weaving in and out of containers to avoid the patrols. Soon, he was rushing from behind a container just to notice he was running into a large open area. "Man... I almost ran into zero coverage. And with the patrols the way they are, it's as if they know I'm here. They are driving me away from the mountain" Kentou thought as he prone his back against the container. Suddenly, he could hear guards coming toawrds the container he was by. He knew he had to move fast, he ran to the door of the opposite container and froze the lock. He knew now he had to hurry, cause he was standing on the massive and wide open trawler docking station. Eventually, the lock broke off and he opened thw container door. Soon after, he heard the guards leave and he left the container and rushed towards the opposite side of the docking area.
