The Fool's Game Secretariat

Umbra

Recommended Posts

Welcome, Players and Dealers alike, to the Fool's Game Secretariat. Due to the recent change of power, the Dealers have decided to rearrange the Secretariat equally.

The Secretariat is an organization for all those who have enjoyed the Fool's Game in the past, in the present, or hope to do so in the near future. The Secretariat offers special deals for it's members, and certain members will even host Games of their own. These members are known as Dealers, whereas the normal members are known as Subscribers. All normal YCM and Club / Organization rules are applied.

Head Dealer

The Head Dealer is the leader of the Secretariat, and can accept Dealer applications as well as Subscribers. Should there be an argument between a Dealer and a Subscriber/Player, the Head Dealer will have final say.

Dealer

A Dealer of the Fool's Game Secretariat is a member allowed to host Games of their own. There is only one way of becoming a Dealer, that all current Dealers have already went down and succeeded; submitting a Game you would like to host to the Head Dealer. If it is accepted, you have become a Dealer and is allowed to host your Game.

To manage your current Game, each Dealer will be given 1 official post in the thread, which should contain any information about your Game. Each of the Dealer's posts will be referenced to in this post, which will also contain brief information about each Game.

Also, at the end of each month, the Players will be able to enter a Subscriber Special where the monthly fee becomes the prize.

Welcome, Players, to the Fool's Game. This game shall be known as Element Arcade.

Loosely inspired by Dealer Umbra's Man on Fire, this game requires an entry fee of 50 points. The objective of this game is to be the sole survivor.

How to Win

At the beginning of the game, entrants will receive either a Fire Ticket, a Blizzard Ticket, or a Thunder Ticket. This game will last any number of rounds until there is only one player left. More details will be revealed at the beginning of the first round.

Prize: 1300 points
Round One: Ticket Exchange

As the title suggests, the first round will be an exchange of tickets. However, there is a twist. If you are in possession of either a Fire, Blizzard, or Thunder Ticket by the round of the round, you will be eliminated. Let us explain how tickets shall be exchanged.
Donation Value

To donate a ticket, you must send me any multiple of 2 points and declare which member you will donate your ticket to. Of the donated points, 50% will be added to the pot (The Grand Prize) while the other 50% will be treated as your Donation Value. Players can submit Donation Values.

Example:

Say I were to receive a donation. This would be the ideal PM I should receive.

The user has sent you 50 Points. The reason is Donation Value - Crab Helmet.

The member that sent this example PM is not Crab Helmet, so let's say it's Dealer Umbra that sent this. This would mean that Dealer Umbra would give his ticket to Crab Helmet. However, since Dealer Umbra had donated 50 points, 25 points shall be added to the pot, and his donation value will only be 25.

Steal Value

Steal Values work almost exactly like Donation Values, but instead of giving away your Ticket, you will instead be stealing another Player's Ticket. If you steal from a Player that originally had two Tickets, the Player performed the theft will receive only one Ticket. In most cases, you will receive a Ticket that will be beneficial to you, unless that is impossible.

Players will be notified if they are targeted for Donations or Steals, but they will not be informed of what value they have been targeted with.

Refusal Value

Your Refusal Value will act as your defense in this round. Similar to the Donation and Steal Values, when you donate points for your Refusal Value, only 50% of the donation will be your Refusal Value while the other 50% will be added to the pot. You can only submit one Refusal Value, with one exception.

If you are the target of a donation and you have submitted a Refusal Value, there are three possible outcomes.

- Opponent's Donation Value is greater than your Refusal Value: You will receive the opponent's ticket, and the opponent will than receive points equal to the difference between the values.

* Example: Since Dealer Umbra's Donation Value is 25, let us assume Crab Helmet has a Refusal Value of 20. Since Dealer Umbra's Value is greater than Crab Helmet's, Crab Helmet will receive Dealer Umbra's Ticket and Dealer Umbra will receive 5 points.

- Opponent's Donation Value is lower than your Refusal Value: You will not receive your opponent's ticket, but you will receive points equal to the difference between the values.

* Example: Again, Dealer Umbra's Donation Value is 25, but Crab Helmet's Refusal Value is 30. Crab Helmet will not receive Dealer Umbra's Ticket, but he will receive 5 points.

- Opponent's Donation Value is equal to your Refusal Value: You will not receive a ticket, but neither player will receive any points. If this happens, Players may opt to donate once more. This additional donation will increase their respective values.

* Example: Dealer Umbra and Crab Helmet each have a value of 25, resulting in a tie. Dealer Umbra submits donates 40 points to me, but Crab Helmet donates 50 points to me. Dealer Umbra's Donation Value increases to 45, while Crab Helmet's Refusal Value increases to 50.
Based on the types of ticket you have, there a several possibilities.

1) If you possess two of the same type of ticket, you will be automatically eliminated from the Game.

2) If you are in possession of both a Fire Ticket and Blizzard Ticket, both Tickets shall be confiscated and you will receive a Water Ticket. If you have only a Water Ticket at the end of the round, you are safe.

3) If you are in possession of a Fire Ticket and a Thunder Ticket, you will automatically be eliminated from the Game.

4) If you are in possession of a Blizzard Ticket and a Thunder Ticket, both Tickets will be confiscated and you will receive a Zero Ticket. Players in possession of only a Zero Ticket at the end of the round are safe, but they lack any elemental advantage. If the Player has another Fire, Blizzard, or Thunder Ticket while in possession of a Zero Ticket at the end of the round, they will still be eliminated.

5) If you are in possession of both a Water Ticket and a Fire Ticket, both tickets will be confiscated and you will receive a Zero Ticket.

6) If you are in possession of a Water Ticket and a Blizzard Ticket, your Water Ticket will be confiscated, leaving you with only the Blizzard Ticket.

7) If you are in possession of a Water Ticket and a Thunder Ticket, you will automatically be removed from the Game.

8) If you are in possession of a Water Ticket and a Zero Ticket, you will automatically advance to the next round and you will be unable to be targeted for the remainder of the round.

Can you control your greed and war against 8 other players to take hope a potentially-massive pot? Or will you slip up and drag everyone else down with you? It's one part skill, one part trickery, and one part selfishness in "Me and You". Who can put these together the best?

Welcome, one and all, to a Fool's Game. I bid you the best of luck through your journey here, for you shall surely need it.

To enter this game you must pay a minumum fee of 50 points.

If you should be victorious, you will come out with all the wealth collected by the combined entry fees. If you should lose, you will leave with nothing. The stakes are high.

Let the game begin.

Players

-

-

(etc)

In this game, you will be grouped together with three others. One of these will be chosen to be the 'Fake' of your group, if you are chosen, you will receive a notification via PM. The others in the group will not be informed, however. Your objection is to not be found out to be the fake. Do this by any means necessary. If you are declared to be the Fake by the other members of your group, you will be eliminated.

The others in the group will attempt to reveal which of them is the Fake.

If either of them are fortunate enough to be correct, the one whom answered correctly is safe from elimination. However, if you guess for a player whom is not a Fake, you are eliminated. Once safe from elimination, your new objective is to not vote for the fake. Obviously, you cannot vote for yourself.

If you eliminate the Fake while safe from elimination, you will receive a warning. If you receive two warnings during the Game, you are eliminated.

If the first Fake is eliminated, a second Fake will be introduced - not the Player that killed the previous Fake, since that Player is safe from elimination, but another Player. However, this process only occurs when only 1 person was eliminated from the last round. If 2 or more members of a group were eliminated last round, the group does not have to do this.

Each round consists of 2 days. If you do not send in your guesses by the end of the round, you will be eliminated.

The members of a group do not need to PM each other of their votes, but it is not against the rules to do so. If the Game ends with 1, 2, or 3 members left, the prize will be split evenly amongst the members.

At the beginning of each new round, you will receive a new group, along with a new Fake.

Good luck, players.

Fool's Game - Lost Cause

This is a game where friends become enemies, and enemies become- no, they'll probably stay enemies. This is a game about bombing people, and nothing else.

You must pay 50 points to me, the Dealer to enter.

How the Game Works:

- You, the player, recieve 2 points every round.

- You can PM the dealer, me, to cash in your points to bomb someone. That person will be notified if they are being bombed.

- If a person is successfully bombed, they are considered dead and are removed from the game at the end of the round

- If you are the bombee, you will recieve a PM that states this:

You are being bombed by __________ (Bomber's name).

Would you like to pay 1 point to negate the bomb?

Yes / No

Then reply with your selected option. If you pay a point to negate a bomb' date=' then you will be out of one way to bomb someone else, so be wary.

- If you don't have any points, but would like to protect yourself from a bomb, you can go into Point Debt. You can use up to 2 Debt Points per round. If you do not have 0 or more points by the end of a round, you are dead. So if you were in debt, you would have -1 or -2 Bomb Points.

The Marketplace System:

- Two players in the game can exchange Bomb Points for certain services such as:

- Avatars

- Sigs

- Points

- Custom Cards

If there are anymore requests for trades, ask me, the Dealer, about it.

- To sell an item, PM the Dealer with this template

I am selling:
The price is:
I am in debt:

If you are in debt people might be more likely to buy your product. With that being said, they also might want to watch you suffer? Your application is a very important choice

- Items don't have to be listed to be sold, but it is a better way to make bomb points.

- To make a trade, the person doing the service (the one recieving the points) will send a PM to the dealer along these lines:

I am selling _________ for _________ for ________ Bomb Point(s).

Then the dealer will PM the person giving the points and confirm this. If this is not confirmed, the point trade will not be accepted.

- Points will be given to the person selling as he/she might be in debt and need said points before the round's end. If the buyer does not recieve the service by the end of the game, the seller will be automatically disqualified and will recieve a Neg Rep for every account of this action.

More Rules (IMPORTANT RULES!!)

- Players are allowed to converse with each other through PM or other means about the Lost Cause game.

- You can only have 2 points at a time.

- If you would sell something and you have 2 points, after you spend a point the pending point will be received.

- YOU CANNOT SELL REP. No rep, it leads to scams and a big pain in the ass for me.

I will be taking notes of how many Bomb Points a player has, so do not try to cheat that way. (Cheat other ways)

So far, this is all. If certain rules are requested or needed, they will be added.

Have fun,

Doco
