Makes sense to me. xD

Although actually, having Ansem be the cause of it would make sense too...

Which he could reveal in stage 3, when you fight him.

Then he can appear again in the extra stage, when he creates Vilayna as a last resort.

=3 I was getting to that.

Ansem's role - he appears in Stage 3, obviously, and confronts the Hero. In Roxas' story, he'll just talk in circles without truly revealing anything. In Sora and Riku's, he'll explain that DiZ's machine may have ridded his Darkness from Riku's heart, but that Darkness didn't disappear - he migrated through the after effects of Darkness Maleficent left behind in Disney Castle, and used it to corrupt the Cornerstone slowly. He then used that Darkness to reform his body.

DiZ's role - DiZ will confront Riku, and when asked about his being alive, DiZ will comment that he is only a shadow of existence brought on by this Darkness - he then explains that the Darkness Ansem invoked in the Cornerstone invoked the stone's connection with the past, and called back himself, along with the Organization, from the memory of Kingdom Hearts. He then asks Riku if he has what it takes to defeat Xemnas again, and tests him himself.

=P Well, moving on:

Vilayna's Role - I decided that this time, she wasn't going to be Ansem's creation. But she did gain a body through his efforts. Vilayna is a spirit of darkness who influences the Heartless' instincts - when Ansem drew all that darkness into the Cornerstone and mixed it with light, she used the alrge amount of energy to form herself a body of her own to use. She then ousted Ansem from the Cornerstone, which is something he doesn't reveal himself.

xD When you fight him, he's actually just trying to get back in. Vilayna's intention is to use the Organization's Nothingness, which Xemnas built up with his fiasco in KH2, and use the cornerstone's power of the past to call it all back into physical form - the ebing known as Zero.

She suceeds, just before being defeated.

Zero's role - =D Shouldn't need to be explained.

=3 Ayup. Ansem will be "killed" in the Extra stage (I use that word loosely because while he may have been finally removed in KH2, we never know for sure with that guy if he's dead or not. >_> He's like Sephiroth).

Vilayna and Zero will both be "killed" in the Phantasm Stage (because she'd just return to her essence as the darkness, and he would just become nothingness again, but because of how they're both made, I don't think you can really call that killing them xD)

And the rest of The Organization fades away as they are defeated (and Roxas rejoins Sora at the end).

Yeah, and Xemnas should have 6.

=O Try and name them according to the different attacks / DMs they use (like for Demyx, I incorporated his Reaction Command, his Water Clones, his aqua towers, and his bubbles).

I'll take Zex, Axel, and Marluxia to start.

There's nothing bad about them. It's just that:

a) They're on a platform no one can play anymore without an emulator (PC-98)

b) They are extremely unimportant (seriously, out of all first five, only 2 characters, other than the main characters, have made appearances in the new games)

c) Starting with 6, EoSD, the series was basically reinvented in terms of difficulty, gameplay, and overall style.

So really, there's no real reason to play the PC-98 ones. But they aren't reallly bad, either. =O And Mima was always cool.

Serious? That sucks. xD

Pretty epic though, huh? Aside from a few visual/musical details, it feels almost like a ZUN game.

>.> And I wouldn't mind playing them, either. I only said that you don't HAVE to, not that I don't want to.

=D Plus, I'm pretty sure Both Yuka and Mima appear as bosses in multiple games.

Not just any bosses - Extra bosses.

._. And Marisa jacks magic from them both.

Also, I can't remember which scenario it is, but in my first attempt at CtC, Mima was the first boss.

@Roxas: Hurray! While you wait, read the backstory on Touhou Wiki.

=o As I told Dem, this is one of those rare games where most of the story and character development takes place outside of the game - just go on the Touhou wiki and read the EoSD Prologue, before playing. Otherwise, you won't quite understand what's going on at first.

Also, beware - ZUN's art style is pretty bad. It's the only bad thing about his games. xD Don't let it shake you, though. There's way better artwork out there in the form of fanart.
