Welcome to the Death Note Game. Here, you and other members on YCM who sign up will be pitted against each other in a game of life or death. Once enough members join, I will giving out the titles of “Kira”, “Detective”, “Shinigami”, and “Civilian”. You will each be given your “real” name that is displayed will all your normal personal information.

 

 

Your Role as Kira

You are Kira, wielder of the Death Note. Your goal is to kill all other members using the Death Note.

The human whose name is written in this note shall die.

 

This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject’s face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.

 

If the cause of death is not written within 40 seconds of writing the subject’s name, it will happen.

 

If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack.

 

After Writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

You still past in the forum, carrying on as a normal civilian. But some of your actions you want to keep secret can be pm’d to me (Mainly writing someone’s name in the note). You cannot send me a pm like: “I went to the bank and deposited the Death Note in a safety deposit box. You will post in the forum, you going to the bank, then PM me specifications of what you’re doing there. Not only are you trying to fid the names of all other members, but also trying to get rid of the “Detective” that is trying to find you.

 

 

Your Role as the Detective

Your job is to find and stop Kira. You can’t just arrest ever member, so you’ll have to be creative and amount real evidence. You have the police force at your disposal. Also, like Kira, you can have civilians work with. Just be careful who you choose.

 

Your Role as Shinigami

You are a God of Death. You have dropped your Death Note in the human world as some mortal has found it. Depending on how you play, you may want to help the “Kira” or be against him. Only someone who touches the Death Note or one of its pages can see you. So you won’t be posting in the forum. You will have to communicate via PM system since no one else can see you. You will only be able to post if every member can see you.

 

Your Role as a Civilian

You continue a pretty normal life. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t raise in the ranks. During the game, “wild cards” will be thrown in that can affect anyone. There may be even be a second death note thrown into the game. You also decide wether you want to help the Detective or not.

 

 

IMPORTANT

The death note has the power to “determine how a person dies” which basically translates into the Kira being able to control a person before they die. If this happens to you, I will pm you on what to do. In which case you HAVE to do so. You cannot say something like, “A mysterious power came over my body...” or “Against my will, I....”. So you cannot hint in any way you are being controlled. It distorts the flow of the game and Kira’s deception.

 

 

The game hasn’t started just yet. I will be drawing up profiles and “real names” for everyone. So first I need conformation from each of you if you still want to join. You will need to stay dedicated to the RP and not just give up because you weren’t chosen as Kira in the first or second round.
