The Bistro Butcher [Discuss]

I always wondered why this card has this effect. This card lets your opponent pay 1800 life points for a Pot of Greed. I sometimes let my opponent attack me on purpose so I can draw two cards. What strategy did you use to make this card work in your deck?

This is actually a ****ing piece of ****. And it's so ****ing that **** is not enough to describe ****. Ok, back to the point. This is completely useless unless you are using some sort of a special deck. If this had 2500 ATK, it might be worth. But 1800? even Vorse Rader can beat that. This is a waste of paper that pretty much destroys forests. Most cards aren't a waste of paper. This is.

If this had 2500 ATK' date=' it might be worth. [b']lolno

But 1800? even Vorse Rader can beat that. because everyone runs vorse raider...

There's an annoyingly long search engine combo with this card...

I only vaguely recall the components. It was something like, summon this card. Creature Swap, Summon Nova Summoner. Attack Nova Summoner into Bistro Busher, draw 2 and search your deck.

It was some really long chain too, I think it was:

1. Nova Summoner

2. Shining Angel

3. Uforoid

4. UFO Turtle

5. Masked Dragon

6. Troop Dragon.

Though good luck getting a deck with 18 random jank cards to work.

When your deck suddenly gets smaller by 54 cards? You end up with 36 extra cards in hand. That's assuming you don't draw part of the chain before then, too.

ATTENTION: IDIOTS

This card is terrible in mill decks, and you morons should be ashamed of yourselves for failing to realize that. Mill, as the name implies, is based on milling the opponent's deck, not on letting them draw. Making the opponent draw extra cards will result in nothing but a faster defeat for you.

Also, I once made an Exodia deck based on the 18-chain. It didn't work.

In once played against a Mill Deck which let me draw like crazy.

Just to get raped by Morphing Jar and Card Destruction :(

But I suck at card games, so who am I?

Not necessarily. Cards like cup of ace have found uses in mill OTK decks.

Both cards are Limited. One is a Flip Effect, and the other doesn't actually reduce the massive hand size you have given your opponent.

That hardly justifies running trash like Bistro and Gift of Greed.

Only because you're hoping Cup of Ace will act as a Pot of Greed' date=' and the downside isn't [i']quite[/i] as bad in Mill as it is in other decks (though it's still pretty bad).

That's cause it can also be an impromptu Pot of Greed. I don't see people maining Gift of Greed in mill decks.
