[align=center]Hmmm. I've been browsing DeviantART recently, and found some tasty brushes hidden away there. LT Havic's Tag tutorial helped a bit, but it's mostly random brushes and improvising. CnC appreciated. That means you, Haris! I already know it fails.

There is no such thing as "1st serious tag" Everything you make from your gut imagination is ART, everything you draw, attempt, execute in Photoshop or on a paper is art. Tis', on the other hand, is something completely away from art. Because you weren't thinking. You just made a background, slapped a fractal & added some effects. You should be thinking about, blending, originality, executivity(yes a new word >_>), & proper effects.

Define a proper focal next time.

TIP: Don't place the focal in the middle.

It's GIMP, Omni. The galaxy thing was a focal. And it's in the middle. It took more thinking than you might think. I may release .xcf soon =/

You forget one thing - you have used GIMP and PhotoShop for several years, maybe more. I have used GIMP for 4 months. And I have only spent a week doing tags. - Perhaps you should take that into account, hmm?

The things not in it:

focal

real blending

a good background

depth

Umm I know that its kinda hard with gimp to get Photoshop results. Work on blending and all I said was not there. Maybe i'l get gimp again...

If your going for abstract' date=' look at a different tutorial.
