Uhm... You become a Mod if YCMaker and Falling Pizza choose to offer you a position. Asking to be one is not a way... :)

 

 

I really wouldn't mind being a moderator. I'm okay with the being one for the General or the Roleplaying Section. Although, I'm sure there are other candidates for those sections.

 

I'm sure there's a bunch of people who want to become a moderator, but that just means a lot of people get dissappointed. I really don't care if I become a mod or not, just as long as whatever needs to be done gets done.

O wait, I'm one already.

 

As Hunter and TKill have said it isn't that great. Sure you have POWER, but you can't use it stupidly and if you have a section that doesn't need much moderation then you can't really use your power. Still it's nice knowing your helping out the forum.

Being a moderator may seem fun at first, but after a year it starts to become boring and you get tired of being blamed for things. That's why I resigned.

Well I didn't suck. I mean, I was the one that stopped reps being used as payment in Shops, along with some other things. Then again, after about seven months I started to become inactive as a mod. This was around the time you joined, hence why it probably seemed like I wasn't doing anything.

This may seem odd since I troll, get banned and do all sorts of lovable irritating antics, but I would love to mod the general section and I think I could make a really big difference of mod. I just get bored and troll. Yeah, that totally helps my chances =D

It seems that many people want to become moderator because they are frustrated by the poor members, spammy threads, weak posts, etc. that make life on this site so much less enjoyable, and feel the need to clean the place up a bit. However, upon gaining these powers, they realize how intense the workload is and are unable to move on to grander things as they are too busy dealing with reported posts, duplicate accounts and spam threads to make the kind of broad sweeping motions that would eliminate these irritants forever. It's a heck of a tough job to say the least. That being said, I am curious as to how well I could do at said job, and how much positive change I could bring to the site. However, my lack of activity makes it highly unlikely that this will happen, but given the chance, I would take it.
