Because they think that "Power" decks or whatever they call them are actually good' date=' and this looks like an obvious counter to "Power" decks.

only a noob would try for a otk like that with out spell/trap destruction

firstly your a noob, and u necro bumped i believed.

 

on topic: the only reason this has a bad taste in everyone's mouth because it got hit by monarchs, gbs, then dad, then ls. i mean it isn't a bad card, also iv seen some counter fairy decks atm run this because they find it hard to swarm for the magic number (8000) and it protects artemis.

Ok, I can feel you on that. Power Decks blow. I knew a guy who had a Power deck in my past. He stacked it full of 1900ATK power 4 stars and and other monsters based on pure atk power. I forget the deck exactly, but I know he had at least 10 traps in his decks which their effects were "Negate an attack and do something bad to opponent" including Magical Cylinder. I easily beat this deck a good majority of the time, but the weirdest thing is his favorite card was Jinzo and when he wasn't lossing it in ante duels he had it in his deck which cut off his trap deffense. He also ran Silent Swordsman lvl 5 and 7 and Ha Des as well. I guess he was going for some sort of lockdown deck, but I wasn't seeing it.

really, in three's this card would be deadly, especially with cards like stardust dragon/prime material dragon in our card pool to protect its non-chainablilty

People were actually running this as last format tech when all the Tele-DAD builds ran 3 Solemn. It was a funny game ender.

is the second effect good? yes, it is. 1000+ damage from a single card is good, because most cards don't do more than that before they are gone.

 

what people don't like is the fact it is not a chainable card.

 

you people condem all cards you can't chain, and while I understand why, it is a bit much personally.

Outside of a burn deck? no.

 

because most cards don't do more than that before they are gone.

Its because second effects go like this:

Easily Chainable that does any of the following > Spin > Removal > Destroy > Bounce > Flip face-down > Burn > Attack negate.

 

The 1st one still applys to the chain. Meaning that easily chainable burn cards, are still considered bad.

do you have a chainable card that negates the attack and deals damage to only your opponent?

 

if you do, I would like to know, since that card would be all around better than this one.

 

P.S. you people seem to think that me saying a card is good means that it's just as good as stuff like DAD, roar, goyo, etc.

that's not what my good means.

those mentioned cards are not good, they are great.

this card is only good.

sorry for the miss-understanding, but you guys need to re-evaluate what your stuff means. having only good and not good does not give you guys much leway, and likely causes many of the arguments in this area.

 

maybe we should try a number system.

 

this card to me then would be 7/10.

the three mentioned up there would be 10/10,9/10,and 10/10 respectively. just to get your barings on my ratings.

no, im serious, why is this better in burn than in anything else?

the type of damage it inflicts has nothing to do with the problem with this card.

its not chainable.

pure and simple.

its as bad in burn as it is elsewhere.

unless im missing something.

 

 

anyway

i had a friend who proxied one of these

he drew a picture of a fist going into one jar, and then coming out another and punching someone in the face

and he wrote "funk that, you take it!"

on top.

most pro proxy ever.
