unless a group of thugs try to make you give them answers to tests' date=' you won't need it

Those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. Plus, you can learn about how things work in other places of the world for politics, such as becoming president. All subjects are important.

Only idiots repeat another idiots.....idiotness.

Invalid point is invaild.

As far as religious studies it is an opinion if it is fact or fiction. It is supernatural and metaphysical. Religion can't be proven or disproven. I would enjoy a religious studies class myself the only issue is I always know more about the religion in question than the person teaching the class.

Keyboarding is VERY important. Almost all jobs require the applicant to have knowledge of how to type.

Geography/History is also important. It can teach us how to deal with events in the future and increase our knowledge. Also, without geography few people would even know how to read a simple map.

When you're older' date=' you might have a job where you have to type reports and projects. Do you want to be pecking at the keys when you are 35 and you need a 4 page project by tomorrow?

I'm not saying keyboarding is unimportant, but I do sort of a "Stanced Pecking" style, that's somewhat of a hybrid that uses my 2 index fingers. It also helps that I have the locations of every letter memorized.

I typed 4 times faster than the ones in the class that did it the "correct" way. And no, they weren't slow as hell. Luckily, my teacher was nice and gave me an A anyway.

tl;dr version: I type faster without doing it the "proper" way.

I think the results would be much less varied if the question was "What school subjects are actually useful?"

That question depends on what the person's profession will be. For most people, Pre-Algebra will suffice. English is utterly useless beyond the point you learn to speak fluently. Science can be useful. Physical Education is utterly pointless.

Well then you're unique. I'm typing this way right now, and I type faster the proper way. You are quite different, and different is good. But for most people, this way is easier. But you are who you are, and I respect that. I just don't believe in useless subjects.

P.E for me, I did enjoy Hockey tho. I used to hate it coz of the swimming teacher, she was evil, she made me swim a length (I'm not a great swimmer) just coz one of the other people in the class refused to swim (even tho she could)

I <3ed Philosophy/R.E so much I did an A Level in it, and got a B =D.

Most people my age are always texting people, or just on the computer in general. Their is no need for this class.

My typing skills have gotten better simply because of all the time I'm on the forum.
