One of my all time favorites, I’ve cloned and used the effect on a few other cards.

Once per turn while this card is face-up on the field, if this card would be destroyed as a result of battle, it is not destroyed. (Damage calculation is applied normally). Only once while this card is face-up on the field you can discard one random card from your hand to destroy 1 face-up monster with 1000, or less, more ATK than this card.
