-Griffin
I just noticed that I had these laying about from Eons ago, I think the OCG is probably pretty bad in some places, so forgive that if it does crop up, it is one of my oldest sets. The set was made... Well, I think I was just bored and wanted to support something, so I spent a bit of time making a nice support for Phantom Beasts...Then I was still bored... So I kept going...Then I was bored again, I added Synchros... Then support for general Beast-Warriors.I know that Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts and Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast are technically Phantom Beasts but I thought it would be redundant to include them in every effect.Anyway, I hope you like the set, they always were my favorite archtype (no matter how undersupported, I have made half decent decks for them.) |Phantom Beast Vortex-Stalion||Beast-Warrior/Effect|Dark||Level 6||ATK 2000|DEF 1700||While this card is in the Graveyard, whenever a "Phantom Beast" monster is destroyed by battle the owner of that card can add 1 "Phantom Beast" monster from their Deck to their hand.| |Phantom Beast Lake-Skull||Beast-Warrior/Effect|Water||level 4||ATK 1500|DEF 1000||Once per turn, while this card is in the Graveyard, you can discard a "Phantom Beast" monster, your opponent must then discard 1 card.| |Phantom Beast Stone-Mammoth||Beast-Warrior/Effect|Earth||level 7||ATK 2600|DEF 1700||If you're Tributing a "Phantom Beast" monster, this card can be Normal Summoned with 1 Tribute. -Griffin
><;;;;Bump.Comments, please? Kinda getting desperate here, I liked this set (and it's not giving me a positive attitude to posting my 60-something card sea-serpent support >>) Link to comment
玄魔の王
Sorry. I didn't realize this was your thread Griffin. Nice cards, but one thing: since Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts is supposed to be a Phantom Beast (as he too in Japan has the Kanji for Genjyuu/Phantom Beast), the cards should support him as well. Other than that, stunning results. Link to comment
-Griffin
I know that Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts and Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast are technically Phantom Beasts but I thought it would be redundant to include them in every effect. Like I said, I know, but Summoned Skull is also an Archfiend, it was just considered redundant to put his name on every single archfiend card, so they didn't, same thing here, shorter effects are nicer. 玄魔の王
I suppose so, but on a real card it would. Link to comment
-Griffin
Yeah, still, they're just nice to read this way ^.^ Any other comments on the set as a whole? o.o Link to comment
玄魔の王
I feel the cards are rather good and well-balanced. 9/10 Link to comment
-Griffin
Hmmm, thanks, any OCG errors or particular cards you like/dislike? Link to comment
玄魔の王
I don't really see any errors, and the cards all seem fun to me. The only reason I don't love the Genjyuu is because they exclude dragons, but that's nothing to do with you. Your cards all seem good to me. Link to comment
-Griffin
Bump, anyone else got some comments for the set? Link to comment
-Griffin
BUMP, I need comments, all these sets are going to be in my fic (starting 2 weeks from now) and I want to make sure I got them right. Are they reasonably balanced? I know that doesn't matter much for a fic, but still, I like them to be. Link to comment
玄魔の王
I'd say they're pretty balanced, but as you said it doesn't matter in a fanfic. Link to comment
Baroque in Paradise
Heh. An archetype I sincerely enjoy IRL being given this much support? It's about 1 in the morning where I am and I'm about to retire from the internet for the night, so I'll bookmark this page and give the cards a serious looking-over (and perhaps working-over) as soon as I can, perhaps tomorrow if my brain's up to it (half-busy working on the endgame of Mana Khemia + a small series of my own [curse you, ZUN, for making so many beautiful Spell Cards]). That said, I look forward to looking them over. Goodnight! Link to comment

I was tired, but it does make sense if you read it right -- I like Phantom Beasts, I'm glad they're getting support, and as of now I intend to look at them in more detail (once I'm finished posting my topic in Pop Culture Cards, wish me luck(!)), and weigh in on them. Who is ZUN, what is Mana Khemia, and is IRL supposed to be I Really Like? *Sigh* This is why I use full words. Link to comment
Baroque in Paradise
To answer your question: ZUN is the lone member of Team Shanghai Alice, the creator of Touhou Project (a game series that I enjoy, and that I am basing a personal card project on), Mana Khemia is a Playstation 2 game fully titled 'Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis' (and is very good, I might add), and 'IRL' is a rather common turn of phrase on the internet that means 'in real life' -- hence the first full sentence becomes/reads 'An archetype I sincerely enjoy in real life being given this much support?'. And I apologize for any confusion stemming from my considerably long sentences, but that's just how I write -- rather than let people jump to conclusions due to lack of information, I cram as much information as I can into what I say.
